- To many James Poyser is the man behind the keyboard on “The Tonight Show” and the familiar face accompanying Jimmy Fallon’s “Thank You Notes,” but he is also a world renown music producer. Billboard recently called him one of the 10 “Producers Who Defined the Sound of 2000” and “a critical player in the neo-soul movement of the late ‘90s and 2000s.” Now James steps out from behind the piano and tells the stories of creating the music that shaped a generation. From Eryka Badu and Lauryn Hill to D’Angelo, Jill Scott, and Common, James had a hand in writing and playing on their everlasting hits. With help from guests, viewers will get an inside look at how these genius pieces of music were created from the man himself.

🌻 Thank you Mr Poyser. These episodes are great listen to. I'm going to share with my 11yr old son as well. He got a keyboard recently and to our delight he's taught himself quite a few songs. Mostly video game songs but it's amazing to see him pick it up so fast and fall in love with playing!
Oh my goodness James Poyser are my favourite keyboard player

Thank you!!! I’ve always wanted to have a lesson with you. This is pretty close. One request? Can you figure out a way to flip the camera so it’s not mirror image? Super confusing to watch your hands.
Thank you, sir.
One of my favorites off Baduizm, great song. Thanks for the stories man, big up
OSOTG is my favorite Erykah song of all-time.
I’d love to know how he came up with those complexed chords for other side of the game. Cause in those times musicians weren’t experimenting so deeply with that sound
