- This week we return to Gobby Beach, an ever so muddy foreshore, in search of hidden treasures and we found them! Come with us as we find our very favourite thing to find!

It's like Christmas every day with you two. Only recently started watching mud larking... amazing how different people's treasures are.... some love buttons and bag tags, some love ceramics, some love sea glass..... all a source of simple joy...
The bone stick thing is for lace making. It's a bobbin

The beautiful green glass with the bird on it would make a lovely conversation piece as a rounded tile in a small garden with dwarf plants. Cover the broken edges with soil, but I expect your creative minds will have already thought of that. The piece of a bird bottle looks like an eagle flask, a rare find.

I think the d stands for Denarius. "The system dates back to Roman times, when a pound of silver was divided into 240 pence, or 'denarius'. Romans used librum, solidus and denarius, or L, s, and d, the 's' and 'd' abbreviations survived until decimalisation."
When your foot stuck in mud. There was a pipe next to your boot.
Another very interesting sherd story ladies, such generosity of spirit from Lord Rowton. Would be nice to see the wealthy individuals of this era take a leaf from his book. Lovely finds, particularly that gorgeous little blue”bowl” and the cute little figurine.
OMG. Go back and get the ink that had the back broken out of it! It looked like a doll house and you could make the teeniest-tiniest little house!!!! Please???

Referring to your cobalt lightbulb part, my sister collects colored glass insulators. She displays them on glass shelves above the windows side by side on two walls. She has clear Christmas lights illuminating each insulator. Its gorgeous!

Rowton House sounds like the original "capsule hotel."
I think the handle looking thing might be a spindle for making lace. Weaving lace.

Your glass spiked piece reminds me of my nan's pickle Christmas tree ornament. The tradition goes the first child to find the pickle Christmas ornament is to be awarded with the first present, an extra present, or the job of handing out the presents, as well as good fortune for the year. I don't know if the UK has this tradition , but it's been around a long time in the US.
Storm treasures of all sorts with some uniquely cool history you two never disappoint your videos are so enjoyable and your excitement is contagious it was nice to hear that the rooming house is still serving it's original purpose looking forward to next week Karl from eastern Canada where it's getting colder now too

Thanks for this wonderful muddy mudlarking . You can find Juwels everywhere I think. The wodden thing can be a „ Klöppel“ in German. The translator says it names clapper in English . You need many of them and string them in several ways to get a handmade lace. I’m not sure but I think it looks like them. Thanks for sharing

It could have been ground down above the bird and put in a window with the light going through it.
Even if you didn’t use it, someone else would have been happy to use it.

Lovely finds Ladies! I would have loved to see Fleur's reaction when finding the doll, I imagine lots of squealing and disbelief lol. The history of Rowton Houses is so fascinating! I read Orwell's book, which was harrowing at times, so I can believe these places would have felt like luxury to the poor. Lord Rowton seems like a bit of a hero which makes a change considering the times. Excellent video 😀💖x

I liked the bird on the glass, too bad u couldn't glass cut it in a nice circle w hole on top so u can make a window sun catcher
I'm thinking that updated Rowton Houses are needed in many places today. With rent being so high it would be nice to at least have a place where you could live when you first find work in the city.
6d is sixpence or a tanner, something I used to hav in the top pocket of my jacket's for jukeboxes.

That bulb piece would make a brilliant mini glass light shade if you want to nod towards it's former life. I found a cool moulded nobbly shape fairy light bulb in my local dump recently. I'm glad you found a miniature doll as it's been a while 😂 Those pipes are beauties too! I'm very fond of plates with insignia and crests on them for places, it would be nice to find a whole one.
