E.T. Model Panther Tracks Revisited (What 1/35 3D Printed Tracks are Best? | Review Part 1.5)

- I bought my original set of E.T. Model 3D Printed tracks in March when they were brand-new on the market. Well, apparently they were so brand-new that I got a defective initial batch. These tracks on the market today are much better!
Thank you to E.T. Model for providing me with a proper set for this review.

DISCLAIMER: I am not paid to promote any specific products or brands; I just use the products I find work best for me through my experiences. There is no reason for me to promote a bad product, as then I would not enjoy using it, not like the result on my model, and not be proud of publicizing it in a video. There's also no point in me doing this to keep up relations with a company if the only benefit would be getting more of the same products that I didn't like. I have not used every product out there, but from what I have used, I keep using the products I like, and that's why I use them in my videos. You can use whatever other products you would like to and you can feel that they are better - that is your opinion, and is perfectly fine by me, thus I hope that feeling is reciprocated. - Jak na to + styl
A little more information: I bought my original set back in March, when these tracks had just been released, and the Panther set was the very first design (35001). Initial batches of the first tracks had printing issues (see Part 1). The issue was fixed and the subsequent products, and following prints of these Panther tracks should all be fixed. They are very good and on-par with the other brands I recommended in the first video.
E.T. Model sent me the sets in this video to show that their products are of good quality. Since I bashed them in the first video it is only fair I give them a second chance in this video.
This is how it should work. They responded, and you gave them a fair review.
Thank you! Yes, I am glad they got back to me. Most modelling companies don't really care after they've got your money. E.T.Model did the right thing.
It's refreshing to see companies listening and watching out for the views of their consumers, whether it is for their own benefit or actual self-improvement! Another example is the amended instructions in RFM kits
I agree! Some companies really strive to improve their products and listen to their consumers very well.
Personally, I find it interesting that my channel is 'mainstream' enough that it is watched by some of the people behind these companies :) I didn't tell E.T. Model about my video and I bought the original tracks myself, but their designer apparently watches my videos and reached out to me.
Glad you now recommend them as to the best of my knowledge they are the only company that makes 3D printed double pin tracks for the T-72/T90 tanks, thanks!
That was interesting and quite a fast reaction from E.T. Well done and thank you for letting us know :)
Thanks Evan 👍👍 its always good to see what's new in the modeling game. Haven't bought any printed tracks yet but if I do I'm going after Adam Mann's tracks. But I went on a buying spree for friulmodel tracks way back so I'll have to burn through these first. My only fear is the resin pins and there ability to withstand my heavy handed ways of building tracks. Lol.
Great follow up. Thank you so much. Maybe i will update one of m future projects with 3d printed parts.
Thanks for the follow up Evan😎
Thanks for the info
It's excellent selection. E.T.Model will be very poplar in Japan because their products are very reasonable.
So, I want to watch your next video ASAP. I don't mean to hurry you just in case.
Anyway, I pray you have a big success on your work. Best regards, NOB
Thank you ✊
Damn those are good looking tracks, and I like the pins like that that aren't connected at the head that shows on the outside like ryfields because I lose the detail of the pin head after I cut it from the sprue and have to clean it up a little but these look good
Thanks!
It Is noce and good news
Thank you for sharing this
I am really glad they replaced your bad set. After seeing your review I was only going to buy the sets you recommended.
I'm glad they did too. And I'm glad you trust my opinions expressed in the videos; that means a lot!
Good on them 👌👌
Nice tracks
Looks like a nightmare assembly, at least for me. I'll stick with Friulmodel tracks. Great video Evan.
Awesome. Love it when a Company puts their product where their mouth is. Now: Can anyone provide me with a link where these can actually be purchased? I found their website after a search that was more difficult than it should have been, but I can't find anybody with any actual stock?
I bought the original batch from a booth at a model show here in Canada. They are around, but not as common as TREX for example.
Purchased the TRex tracks....Which type of glue is best to retain pins and how many links per side for the Panther tracks? Any help would be appreciated!
Super glue will work well on this resin
@@Panzermeister36 Thanks for the reply! I put small amount of Cyano on the pins and it caused the tracks to freeze. When I tried to straighten them they became (or were) brittle and broke. Had to trash them therefore A waste of $40. Guess I'll stick with Fruil tracks or kit parts. Maybe the 3D will eventually use A more durable resin. The resin used currently is way too brittle!
Funnily enough, ETModel is the only one of these brands that offer a kit for the 38(t) Jagdpanzer hetzer. Hopefully it's compatible with the Tamiya mid-produktion kit. Ill try um out. Thanks for the amendment; I was ready to skip them from your last video.
Thanks for watching my correction video! I have a few other ET details like wheels and machine guns and also some photoetch and it's all very good quality.
@@Panzermeister36 This is good to know. I saw ET came out with a new photoetch set for the Tamiya mid-produktion Hetzer. Some of the much older detail sets from Aber and Voyager require sawing out pieces of the hull and stuff, and ET has no pictures of instructions on their side for it yet, so I'm hoping this new set is relatively well engineered.
Check out scale colours 3D…great products!
I will be reviewing their tracks in the next batch! Also FC Model Trend, PanzerArt, YAN Model, Chino Model, and others...
Where did you find their line? I can not find them online. Thanks
I bought it in person at a model show here in Canada. E.T.Model is a major photoetch and resin aftermarket company, so their products should be available on some big online retailers.
Thanks, but I haven't found anyone that carries them
Do you know when tank raft panther tracks are coming out? They told me March it's now June 🙄
Not sure. But I expect very soon.
Heavy hobby is not in my own list of preferred suppliers, the CAD is often “heavy” handed, just plain “off”.
I would have to agree. Some of their stuff is a bit chunky.
