Everyone has seen the astonishing Treasury that was hand carved into the side of a mountain but this ancient city is way more than that. Petra is the size of 50,000 football fields and has more than 1,000 tombs, endless slot canyons, and intricate carvings that will blow your mind. Petra has to be in the top 3 world wonders and once you step foot in this jaw dropping city, you can only imagine how 30,000 Nabateans lived here in a place considered to be paradise. One of the most astonishing discoveries about Petra is the water system because Jordan is one of the most water scarce countries in the world.

The people of Thamud were in the Quran. They were destroyed by Allah for worshipping idols. They were giants and that’s why the doors are so big and why it’s the size of 50 football fields.
Thank you for speaking out against using animals to do things they don’t want to do. It’s sad seeing those animals malnourished on top of that being hit and having to carry people when they’re probably tired and weak. Love you guys keep up the great work ❤❤
To give some perspective, I work in the veterinary field, and I agree that in these cases, the animals are frequently malnourished and not always treated well. However, those horses, donkeys, or camels are often the only source of livelihood for those families. It's not that the owners don't care, it's that they simply can't afford to feed them well or to access proper veterinary care. Media has unfortunately created a poor image of the Middle East, leading to decreased tourisms, and thus, decreased income for those working in the tourism industry... leading to a decreased ability to care for their animals, as well as for their families. You riding their camel or horse or donkey and paying a good tip helps those owners afford food for their animals (because maybe you'll be surprised, but they usually love their animals), and provide for their families as well.
@@nataliasytch9234 I am really happy that you realize what the underlying issue is. One cannot use their western privilege to denounce something without knowing why that thing is being done in the first place. Criticizing something without first understanding the cultural and economic context can be perceived as being ethnocentric. Like you said, these people love their animals and I bet they love these animals even more than some people because these animals are their bread and butter and feed their families.
I visited Petra for my 50th birthday back in February 2013. I arrived later in the day from Amman so I didn't find it so chilly. I agree with you about the abuse of the donkeys: it broke my heart. I went from the Treasury to the Monastery and back again, so I ascended and descended that 850 step staircase too. As for the people always trying to sell me something, I had a very simple solution. I spoke Turkish with them, which none of them understood at all. (That kinda surprised the Ottoman in me because other European empires left their languages behind in their former colonies/ lands!) Since the vendors couldn't understand Turkish and I pretended not to understand English, they gave up very quickly with me and moved on to the next hapless tourist!!
Thank you for alerting people on tourism animal abuse, it’s absolutely awful!

Famous for its rock-cut architecture and water conduit system, Petra is also called the "Rose Red City" because of the colour of the stone from which it is carved. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985.

I love your videos, I'm so happy I bumped into you. And I love more the fact that you care for the animals, wherever I go, I don't engage with any activity that has animals unless they are well taking care and are for people to live, bit mainly I don't do it.

Great video ! Thank you for all the information. How much do you pay the guide that takes you to the top most part of the treasury? I think its the one you guys did on the 2nd day. Also, where do you find the guide?

Very very cool. Sucks how expensive travel is rn because of demand and the cost of fuel. But got several trips planned this year, Portugal, Toronto, Singapore and Puerto Rico rn

What camera and audio you guys used when travelling?
Welcome to you in Jordan, the Dead Sea, hello👋❤❤💋💋😘😘🙏💯
We are going to Petra next month. We are looking forward to see Petra. I love you long dress. Where did you get it? Our 10th anniversary is coming up and I would love something similar.
Ana got it at Altard State! It’s such a gorgeous dress but Ana doesn’t highly recommend for travel purposes because it’s thick but for everything else it’s great. I’m guessing you wouldn’t mind especially because it’s for your anniversary!! Congrats and have a great trip ♥️♥️
Great video. Can you fly your drone there?

Wow, what is the secret of this beautiful film production and the most wonderful narration.. Guys, I advise you to visit the caves of Shuaib and near it what the Arabs think of as a mountain, a well and the springs of the Prophet Moses.. The beaches are beautiful near them such as Sharma, Duba and Maqna. This area is not known by many tourists
I advise you to visit Al-Ula, and it is called the bride of the mountains, and I call it the city of love because of the famous story of Jamil Buthaina in the oases of Al-Ula, and it is one of the most famous Arab love stories.
Work is underway to make Al-Ula the largest museum open to the world due to the large number of archaeological sites in it and linking ancient Arab civilizations with a tram.. It is rich in distinctive sites for photography.
Currently, the Red Sea Bride Festival has begun, which is the city of Jeddah, the economic and tourist city in Saudi Arabia
And the Taif Rose Festival has about a week left to finish
And the summer season in the city of Abha is also approaching
So happy you enjoyed!!
@@ian.and.ana. They tried to put an Arabic translation because they are one of the world's most loving people to travel and discovery and love archeology and cultures like the Americans
Continue to provide explanations about the archaeological sites and the culture of the people and what they believe in without previous judgments and enjoy the experience
have fun
I will try to send you distinguished information about some places in Saudi Arabia by your hand, because they are an undiscovered treasure for foreign tourists and are rich in everything that the tourist wants.
You would be amazed what actually created slot canyons across the planet.

Bumped into your channel yesterday and I’m officially obsessed!!!! Heading to Egypt in 29 days, and your videos were so education and eye-opening! I appreciate you guys teaching us about the animal abuse and how cruel it is to ride the animals for touristic purposes. I’m totally not riding them. Thank you so much for sharing the world through your eyes! ❤️
Hey u guyz are back. Omg been waiting for so long for a new video. Great to see u guyz are back. Nice vegetarians. I am plant based and gluten free my self. Also dairy free. Yes I have a older brother he always beat me always. I have beat my bf in bowling few months ago. I was very happy cuz I never win. Lol
This is amazing, but I'm wondering how tall were the ancient giants to worship in the treasury that is as tall as a twelve - story building in today's measure.
Thank you for speaking up and telling people about the animal abuse involved in riding animals at tourist destinations. 🧡
a good chance for the wold cup traveler to go to Petra, 1 hour by train and free visa for 90% of the people
Went to a couple spots where they’re very persistent. If you’re a little rude they’ll leave you alone lol
Don't think I'd pay a guy to walk up a path that I can see right in front of me
Do you feel sorry some time for humans or only animal, do you know in what condition this kids live the poverty is real.
No we understand and have raised money for the less fortunate in lots of countries around the world and even here in the US but we like advocating for animals too because that's what we are passionate about
it always makes me sad to see animals being abused :( l bet they dont even feed them enough,, like oh I want to cairo n petra but I can't stand watching people use animals for making money :(( break my heart
Thank you for standing up for animal rights.
This was jus a sales attempt video - he seems light in the loafers , maybe
Can't believe you were in Jordan and didn't visit Israel, it's 40 min drive 🤦
Yeah please don't ride the elephants in Thailand. Thank you for your mention.
The home of the pale man.
Why isn't this animal abuse ILLEGAL? I find it terribly upsetting.
Fake info ! It was not made the way u described!
