It is Palestine not Israel
اهلا وسهلا بكم في الاردن
It was my dream since 1986 when I graduated from University of Friendship in Moscow. 3 years ago I could finally meet my best fiends In Jordan.. It's just amazing.. I love this contry, this culture
It's really hard to imagine how people built such a great building back then,
It is not easy to build the stone road just to get there,
It's a pity that you can't go in that big temple, but you climb up and walk over there,
let us see the mausoleum above, and the ancient theater from the top, it is really a worthwhile trip! 👍😃👏
Jordan hands down a better destination to visit then Egypt 🇪🇬 The hassle and 💩 you experienced near the great pyramids was a huge disappointment. Loved your video of Petra, fantastic editing, and amazing visuals with the sky being so clear.
You are showing us places we never dreamed of seeing . Your videos are so amazing.
It's overrated trust me..Been to Jordan so many times and I'd rather go and Relax at Dead Sea..or Cross the Border into Israel ( Ha'aretz) and visit Jerusalem Via Dolorosa,Temple Mount and Kotel the Wall..Jordan will let you go and comeback for 10 JOD keep a blind eye fee plus JET coaches for another 10JOD..Get a Minibus from Allenby terminal to Jerusalem 40 mins journey..Miles better than Jordan and Camel Urine stinking Petra
I was there in February - incredible. For the carts try to take them on the way out when you are tired. Walk on the way in as the Gorge is spectacular! You will miss a lot if you take the cart both in and out. It is a downhill walk on the way in.
Chris and Carol, I didn't think it was possible for you guys to out do your Mexico series of videos, but watching these, I might be wrong. You guys are killing it. Keep up the awesome work !
I visited Petra with a tour group in March. Our tour guide dropped us off at our hotel while he went to Aqaba to pick up members who were joining our group from Egypt. I was on my own for the evening and learned about the "Petra At Night" tour from the hotel clerk. I immediately bought a ticket for that tour and had the most incredible evening ever! The Siq path had candles in bags to show the way and when we got to the Treasury, there was a half hour program of three musicians playing ancient instruments while a light show lit up the Treasure. Unforgettable! Seeing it the next day in the daylight was amazing and our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history. I didn't walk to the monastery, however, since we had a time limit to be back at the entrance to leave for the next part of our trip - Israel. We visited Israel before Passover/Ramadan so did not see or experience any conflict during our time there. That was an epic tour! I recommend going at time when there are no religious holidays or festivals scheduled, however.
Hi beautiful 😘❤️
It's was Palestine and it's Palestine and it's will stay Palestine
How was the weather their on march? Planning to also go there this March.
@@bajsistersofficial It was very pleasant. Cool in the mornings and evenings but comfortably warm during the day. There is foliage in bloom, too.
Petra is incredible
You both excel at historical visits, such great video and fascinating details you share. I’m loving this series.
Thanks for this! Great to sit here, and with a click, enjoy your trips and excursions!
Love these videos. I like how you talk about the prices
The world is an incredible place! Love your channel. Great vibes, video, editing.
Man o man. You guys take us on another great trip. Always wanted to see Petra but did not realise how huge it is. thanks again. Your videos really make one feel like we are there. Just great.
We visited Petra in 2012. Thank you so much for yet another amazing film. You are awesome!♥️
Excellent video. Petra is on my bucket list. Oh so happy you video all the area. Loved it. Thank you. ❤
In addition to the amazing content one the best things about your videos is how totally chill and calm you guys are. Love the vibe and feel as well as the content - just a really unique combination!
Mesmerising The kinda of things I absolutely love!
Petra has been on my list for quite sometime, all my plans went tits up with covid! Jerusalem and Oman were on my radar so I’m pleased to hear that at least you can go to Oman I’m very much looking forward to have your take on it!
Have fun
Sabrina🇫🇷🇬🇧
Just wow! What an amazing part of the world, and such human history. Your channel continues to be awesome!!
Excellent and informative video with a very specific POV. This is a "behind the scenes" view of Petra. It's a very rare occasion to see this tourist place as it. I love your videos.
Stunning! One of the places that I would love to visit. Thanks!
you are so right. I had no idea there was so much more than the proverbial image one sees of Petra. Gorgeous. Thank you for sharing.
Another wonderful video! I visited Petra in 1980 (and spent a night in one of the caves). An awesome experience! There were far fewer tourists and no restaurants at the site - not surprisingly.. You really showed us a lot of the area. Much appreciated! Looking forward to your video of Oman (where I used to live)... Safe travels!
It’s amazing to think that people were able to make a life in such hard surroundings. I’ll probably never get to Jordan so this video is great for me. Thanks!
Fantastic! We are seriously thinking of a visit here, looks interesting and authentic. Watching this now in Wales, sat under a tree with the birds tweeting away and beautiful sun and country side. So happy to be back but will be heading somewhere else before returning to Morocco. Dont know where yet. You have given us so many ideas through your videos so we thank you for that. Continue safely and enjoy. Best wishes Keith and Cath. ✌
I was glued to this video, what a remarkable place!!! The background music made it so soothing to watch as well. Absolutely jaw dropping structures and the viewpoints are insane. Loved this series!!!
Your insight of Petra was great. I didn't realise how big an area it was to see. So much more then main area itself. Looking forward seeing it myself. Once again thank you both for your insight. 👏
Didn't skip ads.. it's my way of appreciation for seeing those places i cannot afford to go. Take care always you guys.
Thanks a lot for providing us a beautiful, enjoyable and educative video.
Wow. I appreciate the effort it took to show this place "up close, and personal" in your own inimitable way. I would have pushed my old knees to their very limits to cover the ground you both managed. Thanks for saving me the hike (...and the hassle of the taxi drivers!). Petra, and Wadi Rum. Great work, as always, you two.
I went to Petra a few months ago. I was amazed at how prestine most of the carvings were, like they were done last week. Great video was fun to watch it from a different point of view!
My fiancé and I are in love with your Jordan videos! My fiancé is Jordanian and he loves watching these videos! Thankyou so much 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
yes indiana jones was filmed there at petra thats why i want to go there . you guys got some good info 👌👍keep up the good work
The only wonder I have not seen. The video inspired me to get there soon. I had not realised how large the complex is. Awesome work Carol and Chris.
Thank u for always taking us to beautiful places. You are a great story teller and the video is outstanding
What an incredible place! Doesn’t even seem real at times. Thanks for sharing
Wonderful video. My wife and I just got back from Amsterdam and then Paris so we have a lot to catch up on. I’m looking forward to binge watch the past few weeks of your videos.
what a magnificent trip! superb 👍👍💖💖thank you!
Thank you for the clear video in details. Best one,
Famous for its rock-cut architecture and water conduit system, Petra is also called the "Rose Red City" because of the colour of the stone from which it is carved. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985.
I always enjoy your videos. This one is stunning. Petra is incredible.
It really is!
Thanks for taking us on your beautiful travels..
Just stunningly impressive and beautiful.I have to say I really loved these ruins in Jordan as compared to a lot u visited in Egypt.I know they are different but I just loved the unique way the tombs were carved into the rock in Jordan. It wld be too much walking for me now but I loved seeing it through your walks and through your eyes! On to Oman.Too bad about Israel as ur so close but def need to be safe.
About 10 years ago I spent 2 weeks in Aqaba for business. It was a fantastic trip, stayed at the Kempinski which was like a vacation within my trip. Went to Petra with my colleagues, taking the trek up to the Monastery. It was absolutely amazing.
I was just in Petra and stayed a night in Wadi Rum yesterday. We also went to the Dead Sea this afternoon and now backhere innAmman. Petra though is absolutely amazing. We were lucky with the weather in Petra yesterday because it wasn’t as hot and just slighty cloudy. The walk to the Monastery though was quite a way and we were told that it was 900 steps.
You bet man! Ultimate thanks for share. Good luck.
Such an amazing place! Thankyou! Hard to imagine the manpower and tools to carve out those temples!
When we talk about something carved into the rock, I recommend you to see Ellora and Ajanta caves. Both sites are out of this world. Abu simbel with more than 3000-year-old history, it has more complex internal room. Without the surrounded beautiful entrance like Petra, it is still breathtaking level. Thanks for sharing a lovely video.
Thanks for featuring Petra..awesome video as always new on me..god bless you both sir Cris and mam carol..much love from Cebu city p.h
Thanks! Hoping to make it back to the philippines, maybe this year :D
Fascinating!! Thank you both for sharing!!
Awesome site, thank you for sharing your trip to Petra, Jordan. Thank you.
Hey Carol and Chris, Petra is an amazing city, with all of it carved into the hills of sand stones. I find it to be one of the most fascinating ancient cities in the world, just like the valley of the kings. I am glad you have gone to this area to visit, as I have always been fascinated about these old cities. These places you go are in biblical times, this makes me excited about these videos. The monastery is a really big carving!! No crosses because it is a Muslin nation and Christianity is frowned upon, this is why you see no crosses in this Christian sector. That was some crazy walking to go through Petra, and it is sad that tourists get scammed, I had cheats and liars, plus find it sad they make it a bad experience that you remember on ones vacation. Better to watch it through the both of you, then actually visit myself. Even it being a wonder of the world and loving the desert, at my age and such bad health, it would be to much. In my youth I would of spent days walking through every part of Petra. Thanks for the amazingly great video, to bad they do not let you do drones due to regional wars. Be safe on these trips. Later old friends✌🏻🙏🏻🌴🐪🌴😎
I luv the title of this video - visit Petra before you Die. I actually am going on a cruise trip next February and the main reason for the trip is to visit Petra. My friends who have visited the site highly recommended that I visit it. I will definitely take notes on your video for my trip next year.
I love watching your videos... The Brazil beaches were super amazing
Glad you like them!
Amazing ! Wow! Great video. Thank you so much. Stay safe.

I knew OF Petra -- I've seen pictures of the first place you went for years -- but I had NO idea it was altogether so HUGE! Thanks a lot for doing the walking! 😎
😅Epic films in Petra : Aladdin 2029, Indiana Jones & Last Crusade 1989, the Mummy Returns 2001, Transformers, Revenge of the Fallen 2009, Mortal Kombat: Annihilation 1997... etc plenty more, this is fascinating. Thank you for this video, so amazing. I now watch your travels on a daily basis. I've decided to go to Mx next fall, as a result of watching your youtubes. Thanks again!
This place is beautiful, with so much history with it. Thank you guys. 👍😁✌️💯✅🤩😍

Petra was featured in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Really enjoy your videos had to laugh at Carols comment “ordinary people” keep up the good work
Wonderful place. Nice creation.
Great work friends.
Thank you very much!
Thank you!
Very enjoyable. My wife and I walked up and down the more difficult and steep route. Unfortunately, we were rushing down to rejoin our group when she fell and fractured her ankle and foot. The paramedics had to take her down on a donkey. It's a long story, but the Jordanians were so very kind to us. We then returned to Jerusalem to continue our three month stay in that wonderful country.
Lots of memories! And you are right: one should have seen this place before death!!!
Very very beautiful place 🤩🤩👍
I went there in february 22, it’s a amasing place. We had a guide that you can book in advance with the Jordan PASS or online. It’s worth it because you have a better idea how they have build the City etc. Why the roman annexed PETRA … There are os much stories about this city
An amazing place.👍😊
Great video guys.... Thank you for coming to Jordan.... A quick note, I noticed that you had alot of questions and assumptions about the archeological and historical aspect of the site... Maybe next time it's better to hire an official tour guide so he can help answering all of your questions and give you alternative trails because the site is huge. Thanks again for coming
What is the average price for a guide?
@@yolindabadenhorst2099 sorry for the late response, the prices actually varies from a trail to another. For the main trail it's usually 70 USD ( 3 hours) . Other trails have different prices. Welcome to Jordan 🥰
Another SPECTACULAR video! You sure captured the natural beauty of the red canyon rocks AND the carved historic structures of Petra! Some say that they originally lured travelers into the Siq to rob them ages ago but then they realized that they could get ever RICHER if they traded with them (and they very carefully managed every single drop of water they had access to so the citizens and traders would always have a reliable supply) and THAT may be why they created their spectacular city from the canyon walls! Just think, it's very possible that the frankincense and myrrh (!) that the Three Wise Men brought to the Baby Jesus may have been routed through Petra itself from what's now Yemen and Ethiopia! And, of course, from all those high vantage points above the main city, they could see EXACTLY the size and the prosperity of any traders/travelers! BTW, if you thought temples, tombs and churches carved from canyon wall was something, I hope you consider travelling to Lalibela in Ethiopia where they carved entire churches from solid bedrock basalt! EXCELLENT video and THANKS SO MUCH for this!
