  • John Harris and the Living Waters Europe team were in Leicester, doing open air preaching and giving away prizes to gather a crowd (including money). A nice man called Mitchell comes along, but asks difficult questions. See how John Harris deals with them, and keeps on track with the Gospel message.

Hey John! I don’t think you should say that instead of saying Gods name as a cuss word, saying an actual cuss word. I do agree 100% with not taking Gods name in vain, but saying cuss words don’t seem to be good aswell.
For Ephesians 4:29 says “Do not let any unwholesome words come out of your mouth, except for what is helpful for building others up in righteousness.”

one of the most narcissistic and unnecessary commandments. along with
thou shalt have no other gods before me...??!!
(he knew there are other gods ???!!!) wtf
he seems a very nervous, anxious god who is lacking confidence in himself.
also it was a missed opportunity to include a much more edifying commandment namely
"thou shalt not keep fellow humans as slaves" ...or how about
      "thou shalt not commit rape"
amazing how an atheist can improve on the work of an all powerful, omnipotent, omniscient "loving" god of the universe lol

We were created with a devine spark in his image to experience a physical existence that the Creator himself cannot physically experience so we do it for him to perfect our soul. Everything is pre planned down to the last second by us too learn from in a contract approved by him. But letting these lessons change us negatively but finding the positive in these experiences and understand that every soul here is going thru something those that haven't learned a lesson allow the experience to make them negative and a victim with no lesson learned. Christ is a consciousness reached thru regular daily prayer or meditation that enhances our connection with the creator and gives us a greater love for those he created. It's finding a happy place nobody or anything can take away. Becoming of this world not in this world. By calling ourselves sinners and lustful lying thieves your calling the creator one as well creating negative karma for yourself and it will affect your next incarnation. We are all gods and to think we are anything less is saying our creator wasn't perfect.

My question is: why did Jesus need to be tortured and crucified? Wouldn’t any type of death and resurrection be enough? Couldn’t Jesus have died from natural causes and then been resurrected? What did the the way he die have any thing to do with him dying and being resurrected to pay for humanity’s sins?

The crusifixion was one of the most painful deaths of that time. But that was not the only reason. It has to do with prophecies of the old testiment for example the story of Moses and the bronze snake

The bible says, that sin can only be forgiven by blood. Jesus died in our place. On the cross darknes was laid on him and He was left from his father. He had to die in our place. He took the punishment we deserved.
Like I said... It was not only the physical torture but the sin that was laid on him. The darknes and left from God.

A proper title should be "Skeptic asks evangelist easy questions, didn't get anything except word salad from beginning to end." If you have a set of beliefs that make no sense, have no logic or evidence, and fall to pieces under even the slightest scrutiny this is the way to show them off. A one-way conversation where the questioner is bamboozled for 20 minutes without any of their questions being answered, or their point of view even being acknowledged. The questioner doesn't even need to be there, the evangelist's ramblings would have been the same.

Because its not really about the questions. All of our questions would be dealt with by repentance and humility and relationship with the Father thru Yeshua, Jesus. I say this from personal experience. Ive wrestled with God many times. But when you encounter Him... words cannot express it.... everything changes and shifts. Just talk to Him. Why not even yell and get all your questions out. If you ask Him He will answer

@@valor101arise amen praise the Lord GOD of hosts! psalm 106:1 and psalm 106:48! but we have to ask humbly because “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble” and “surely He scorns the scornful, but gives grace to the humble” and “Though the LORD be high, (or “Though the LORD is on high,”) Yet He regards the lowly; But the proud He knows from afar.” and “For all those things My hand has made, And all those things exist,” Says the LORD. “But on this one will I look: On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, And who trembles at My word.”
      psalm 138:6, proverbs 3:34, isaiah 66:2, james 4:6-10, and 1 peter 1:5-6.
and even Jesus Christ the “KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS” “the Son of the Highest” “even the Most High” “the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” not answering herod in luke 23
“Now when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceedingly glad; for he had desired for a long time to see Him, because he had heard many things about Him, and he hoped to see some miracle done by Him. Then he questioned Him with many words, but He answered him nothing.”
and i don’t know what the context of this is but job 35 tells us “There they cry, but none giveth answer, Because of the pride of evil men.”
      ‭‭
but yeah we have to be humble, read the living word of the living God which is the bible, and pray. the Lord GOD of hosts tells us in 2 corinthians 7:14 “ *if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.* “
      proverbs 1

“By humility and the fear of the Lord Are riches and honor and life.”
      psalm 33
“Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, On those who hope in His mercy,”
      some of psalm 34
“I sought the LORD, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears. They looked unto Him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. This poor man cried out, and the LORD heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them. Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want (or lack) any good thing. Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD. Who is the man who desires life, And loves many days, that he may see good? Keep your tongue from evil, And your lips from speaking deceit. Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it. The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry. The face of the LORD is against those who do evil, To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles. The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as be of a contrite spirit.”

For I will not contend forever, Nor will I always be angry; For the spirit would fail before Me, And the souls which I have made. Let me try to explain why the preacher didn't answer his questions. Imagine you're walking near a cliff and then you meet somebody who's going the same way you're going. He has sunglasses so you assume he knows where he's going until you see him start to walk towards the cliff so confidently. That's when you realize he's blind. You quickly start following him trying to warn him that if he continues going in the same direction he's going to be dead in just a matter of minutes but he starts asking you reasonable questions about your warnings. Would you stop to answer every single one of his questions or would you use the available time wisely to try to get him to change his direction? If he changes direction, you'll have plenty of time to sit down with him on a rock and answer all of his questions.
