One question, when you press the orange button on the oil filter to drain, you pressed it again so that it returns to its place. My question is, can you press it to return to its normal position when you already have the plastic filter case out?

I could be wrong.., but it sure looked like a mixture oil/water, or even worse.., coolant when you drained your oil filter prior to removing it.
As a VW tech.. Wrong oil.
The right oil should be 5W-40

I think he is referring to it being conventional oil and not fully synthetic actually.
Remember to coat your new filter o ring with oil
I did not do that and now it is stuck on there and I don’t want to buy a whole new one😢

My manual says 5w40 is preferred but lists 5w30 as an alternative.
Nice video! I have a 2011 Jetta SE and autozone told me it takes 5w40, so that’s what I used.
