had like mid range up seats on 30 yard line .. it went crazy before the snap of the field goal and it went even crazier when he missed it .. i will never forget celebrating and joepa's last game . R.I.P joe pa -\3

What most people don't realize is that those wins were rescinded by the NCAA and those rescinded wins only effect the statistics as far as the NCAA are concerned. Other stats held by other organizations such as PSU themselves, are not effected. The only way to truly negate all of the vacated wins is to award the other team the victories...and that didn't happen. So with that in mind PSU was the victor, so the stats stand. Just to be clear this comment is from a Football fan not a PSU fan
It was this game that effectively put Matt McGloin in as the full-time starter. Bolden just never lived up to his potential, giving the incoming Bill O'Brien an incredible weapon to work with in 2012 in McGloin...and an incredible leader in the offensive huddle after the school got dumpstered by the NCAA. 2012 could've been an absolute disaster without Mauti leading the defense, and McGloin looking like the second coming of Kerry Collins.
And it was all downhill from there for like 5 years. O Brien kept the program afloat and Franklin has it thriving off the foundation his predecessor O Brien built.
