Rewatching clone wars has given me much more respect for obi wan.
Obi Wan is a model of what a true Jedi is. He lost so much, his lover, his best friend, the entire Jedi Order, and he still resisted the dark side.

Obi Wan is everything a Jedi should be. He's always calm and collected, thinking ahead, and resisting the Darkside above everything no matter what. He's pretty much the standard for Jedi.

@Raj P Obi-Wan was weak in the sense he may have left Anakin (Darth Vader) to die believing that was the eventual outcome after his duel on Mustafar, when Yoda wanted the Sith completely destroyed. Obi-Wan still thought of Anakin as a brother, when he should have Force pushed him back into the lava and been done with it.

I think that-initially-Lucas has not intended for Yoda to be Jedi, just a "teacher" of Jedi. However, he changed his focus with the creation of the prequels... or, more accurately, refined his vision of the Jedi as a whole. It makes far more sense that Yoda would be a Jedi that teachers other Jedi... you're not gonna find a person that teaches how to be a blacksmith without them first BEING a blacksmith.
And the fact that Obi-Wan is stronger than the Emperor? Not sure about that, since the Jedi and the Sith are strong in the Force in much different ways. But who knows, maybe he is... just something else to think about.

Qui-Gonn and Obi-Wan are, in my opinion, the best jedi ever. One saw the unreasonables in the Jedi way, and sort of created his own version of it which is much more humane, and one resisted any suduce came from the dark side though his master, best friend, lover, and the entire Jedi Order were all destroyed. Much respect for them both.
Qui gon is such a good jedi. His first apprentice turned to the dark side and he died to a sith a Padawan beat.

I mean he didn't Even trained to become one wit the force, and already had appeared as a ghost not so long after his dead.
@@fersho450 He didn't formally train to become a Force ghost like Qui Gon, Obi, and Yoda did. But I think he still went through the necessary steps. He confronted his shadow(by becoming it temporarily), he faced the temptation of power and eventually rejected it, and he showed compassion for his son. Those are basically the steps of becoming a Force Ghost as far as I'm concerned. Its just Anakin's way involved a LOT more suffering.

SCENE: Luke challenges Ren and his army... this is still in the works..
Part of this scene is... when Luke uses his force blast on Rens army... it triggered an awakening in all the troopers...
moreover... this force blast triggered an awakening in the force.. so great... that it awakened those that were murdered during order66... and also felt by all remaining jedi still alive.... General Rham kota would be one of them at least... force ghost of characters may be that are important... (still in the works... give all suggestions and additions as necessary...)...
SCENE: Rens encounter with a Master Jedi
Ren, after his defeat by Luke skywalker...
was brought to a place of torture... (related to some leaked info i have heard on the net...)...
Ren was tormented again and again with visions of how he murdered his father han solo... he was being fed with deceit and lies that his father hated him...
Rens anger grew strong with each passing moment as snoke manipulates his thoughts and visions... inserting Luke, Rey, Han, Leia... all that has a relation and connection with him.. generating great fear and anger in him as he twist and turn in his agony... shouting and screaming... unstable force lightnings coming in and out of him or his body...
Suddenly a silhouette surrounded with black mist or smoke appered in that dark place with him coming towards him...
Then a voice spoke and said ... " why choose this path that leads to your destruction ?".... (if you are a fan of the original trilogy and the prequel trilogy, you would have had recognised that voice already..)
Ren crawls to stand up and while at it unleashed a force lightning, a brutal one... his force lightning was colored white mixed with glowing yellow and red colored lightnings... something we have never seen before... ren hits the thing that approaches him head on with all his fury and might... but the silhouette still approached closer towards him...
And the dark mist and smoke that covered the silhouette started to dissipate... revealing from from foot, going up his body.. to his face a white force ghost... that asked him again.. this time with a stern voice... why choose this path that leads to your own destruction?...
(the identity of the force ghost revealed...)
It is master Qui-gon Jinn... alive and well and strong with the force... (to your surprise and to all you star wars fans...)
/why Qui-gon? becase master Qui-gon is the best in investigative dealing of the Jedi... his is gifted with uncovering or discovering myths and secrets... just as
/master Yoda is gifted with knowledge and wisdom in the ways of the force/master Anakin gifted with bringing balance and stability/Luke gifted with recovery, preservation...(add it up..)../ Obi-wan gifted with selflessness, Duty, guardianship... and so on...
Ren: WHO ARE YOU?... with his loud voice
Qui-gon does not disclose his identity...
Ren takes a stance to attack while still breathing death and destruction... in his agonizing voices shouts the same question again... as he ignites his sabre...
Qui-gon comes out of his force ghost form into the physical... picks up a rod or a stick... holds it as he would a sabre weapon... and also takes his stance, ready for rens attack...
/Qui-gon is known for his skill in uncovering secretive things and identities of the sith.. he knew and felt that there is something more going on behind all this, and Ren is the principal victim who might hold the key to resolving all of these chaos happening/
Ren and Qui-gon engaged... Ren delivers his strikes with all his rage and hatred combined with force lightnings... as Qui-gon evades and defends... and finally delivers a 9-point attack to rens body with force speed accuracy... that throws ren about 50 to 70meters out knocking him temporarily paralyzed but still conscious..
Ren lies down flat unable to move but still breathing death and destruction towards Qui-gon as the master drew closer to him and stood beside looking down on him..
Qui-gon then closes his eyes as he stood by ren... and started to concrntrate and meditate... entering into Rens mind... seeing visions and things that influenced ren that brought him to his present state...
Qui-gon discovered the manipulations of snoke... but more... he discovered that the rage and anger of Ren was being used to feed something... his visions took him deeper as he saw the demise of yodas race... why master yodas race was almost wiped out... he saw that all that were captured were being fed on... their life force and midichlorians being extracted to feed something that is hidden in a black thick metal chamber... as for a clone... and as Qui-gons visions led him inside that dark metal chamber... it was total black at first.. but then two eyes opened... the glare of the eyes of a sith... and that chuckle.. that palpatine/sidious chuckle...
Qui-gon awakes with his stern eyes open... and looks down on Ren... Ren also stared at the masters eyes with a bit of fear and confused of what he saw.... because as Qui-gon saw the visions, so did Ren...
Then Qui-gon says to Ren... " do not fear boy... this path shall not be your fate "... Qui-gon then turn and leaves Ren... returning to a force ghost and leaving that place as Ren continuous to waile and cry and groan in his agony...
Next part of this will be Qui-gon communes with the other masters...
it's over, Palpatine! I have the high ground!

Damn. Can you imagine what was going through anikans head when Luke was wailing on him while being on the ground? He was probably thinking that he was about to lose that last little bit of hope that kept him human. That his own son turned on him through the thought of losing his family. He would have at that point, lost everything. If luke didn't cut his hand off to remind Vader that he wasn't what he used to be, that at one point he was human. With Lucas's statement i dont think vader cut Luke's hand off in empire to disarm him because he was clearly winning the fight, maybe he did it to let him know that that's what happened to him. The beginning of the journey to the dark side. If he didn't cut Luke's hand off luke wouldn't have become the jedi he did. If luke didn't cut Vaders hand off Vader wouldn't have came back to the light.

If Yoda isn't a Jedi, then Luke is the Last Jedi before Yoda dies regardless.

The last time Vader tried to turn Luke, Luke nearly killed himself. The Emperor even said “Only together can we turn him to the dark side of the Force.” I think Vader did know they were going to fight, but he never imagined that Luke would be able to overpower him and have the opportunity to replace him.

I want to see an old school SWT with your old school animation on “What if the force ghosts had intervened before Luke went in to kill Ben Solo” Like Luke grabbed the lightsaber before the fire, I imagine Anakin ghost would have had Luke look for hope in Ben as he had for his father... Convincing him Ben hadn’t turned yet so there’s even more reason to save him than there woulda been for an already turned Vader... Then tell how all woulda played out. Makes sense, I've read somewhere once you're become part of the Living Force, then you could become immortal.
According to Qui Gon, Sith can never used these powers, because it requires compassion and pity, traits the Sith would never possess.

But Siths can do that not with the ghost way but transfering their life Essence in a object for example malgus who put his Essence in his grave
This concept makes the lore ever more richer
I always, or rather have assumed for a very long time, assumed Kenobi & Yoda were clouding Palpatiine's vision, I believe further that Yoda was doing it from Dagobah even before becoming a ghost, much as Palpatine himself had, insideously undermining the opposing faction's perception through the force. It best explains what they were doing all the time they were in exile & mirrors Plagius & Sidious in a learning from the enemy/using the enemies methods against them manner which makes narrative sense from a humbled Yoda seeking a path to still find victory through defeat.

I remember seeing a bootleg copy of ROTS which had the subtitles wrong. When Palpatine says the "To Cheat death is a power only one has achieved" line, the subtitles read "Too great is the power Obi Wan has achieved, but if we work together we can defeat him". I always thought that was cool lol

Reason why obi wan is more powerful than the emperor is because in reality he is the master of low ground not high ground. He was able to beat darth Maul and grievous from the low ground the only reason he told anakin he had the high ground was so he could tempt him to jump to high ground so giving obi wan low ground where he could take him down. Obi wan is the master of trolling

I don't recall where I read it but I did read this exact explanation previously.
If the Emperor had convinced Luke to join the Dark Side simply at the beginning of the persuasion, would that mean Vader would strike down the Emperor, or Vader vs. Luke right off the bat to preserve the Rule of Two?
Nobody in that room cared about the rule of two. Having said that, the Emperor would most likely demand that luke would kill vader to complete his turn to the dark side.

In Clone Wars the series, The Gathering [5.06], Writers: George Lucas, they talk about Yoda as a youngling training and getting into trouble like the younglings in that episode and the droid that has been around through all the younglings training dating back to when Yoda was, even talked about how much trouble Yoda got in. So he was a Jedi.

i do believe that after seeing luke wrecking Vader with his anger and winning, the emperor would have decided to finish vader himself by torturing him with lightning, and luke would have a dilemma, save his father but using the full scope of the dark side by killing the emperor, or letting his father die, he would have chosen to fully commit to the dark so he gets enough power to maybe save his father...
but thats just what i think.

I'm always interested in more info about force ghosts. I wonder if there are different ways of becoming a ghost, either using the Living Force to sustain or placing oneself as a constant between the Living and Cosmic Force.
I believe in legends there were different forms of force ghosts. Like how Sith force ghosts could only attach to an object and were often trapped in their tombs until they basically passed their expiry date.
With the new canon I believe a similar concept was introduced though I dont think they have an expiry date, would be interesting to theorise on what other kinds of force ghosts there could be.

I always saw Vader in ESB as running amok, desperately trying to get to Luke to turn him to the dark side. But when Luke basically chooses suicide over joining him, Vader basically gives up and returns to full devotion to the Sidious. I always believed he knew Luke was going to replace him and went along with the fact, although he was going to make Luke beat him for it.
What if Count Dooku wasn't looking forward to this?

I never assumed that by turning Luke over to the Emperor that Vader was forgoing his plan to use Luke to overthrow Palpatine. I always figured it was because Vader had failed to turn Luke in Empire that he thought he'd just let the Emperor do it and once Luke was turned they'd overthrow Palpatine as Vader intended.
