I am 60 years old...in I'm thinking around 1990 -91 my buddy Larry was getting tapes of all this thrash and death metal stuff which was kinda new to my ears and just instantly fell in lust with this type of aggressive and raw music whether it was fast and brutal or slow and heavy as LONG AS IT WAS FUCKING DARK I JUST WAS INSTANTLY HOOKED!!!!! But there was a peaceville compilation tape with a bunch of bands on it which is where I first heard DARKTHRONE ..out of all the black metal bands I listen to and worship like bathory, dissection, enslaved, emperor, mayhem, gorgoroth ,etc..... for some reason DARKTHRONE was always my favorite..... Idk why that is being that the other mentioned bands have way more technical abilities as far as guitars and more solid drumming but DARKTHRONE is and always have been dark ,creepy and raw it's like the perfect blend of all types of metal rolled up into one band 🤟🤟🤟💯💯💯💯💯 hail the mighty DARKTHRONE 😜😜😜💯💯🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
