IAF MI-17 Helicopter Joins Forces to Battle Nainital Fire, Draws Water from Bhimtal Lake | News9

A massive fire broke out across hectares of forest in Uttarakhand’s Nainital on April 26. Troops from the Indian Air Force and Indian Army swung into action to douse the flames. IAF’s Mi-17 helicopter joined the forces to assist in dousing the flames. The cause of the forest fire is yet to be ascertained. Notably, the forest has been blazing for more than 36 hours.
