The idea I had would be something similar to Um actually where it’s your job to call out grammar, sentence structure or mispronunciation of words between two NPCs, it would legit be you shouting OBJECTION against Google translate. This is my game idea....
The Interpreter is a 2-4 player game, there is 4 rounds (easy, intermediate, hard, and HARD), there is a time limit on each round on the easy round you have more time and on the last hard round you have less time. The game; the first round starts a sentence audio is played, you have a set amount of time to translate the sentence given, if you translate it wrong or fail to translate it you lose a life (you only have 2). For each correct answer you get a point, you win by getting the most points. After the game you can add any of the sentences in you own decks to practice later!!! That is my game I hope you like it or at least get some inspiration from it!!!

I know we’re talking about games but I hope there’s an emergency section. People can register themselves as emergency translators if, say, I find a lost child who speaks a different language. Like Shazam, have the app listen to the child’s language to identify what they speak. Once the target language pops up you can send out an SOS to whoever speaks that language in real time. That way whoever needs assistance can get it. You can even add a sign language one that linked like facetime.

Personally, I’d love to see a speed-dating style game where you would match against another person learning your language and have 1-2 minutes to introduce yourself in that language. Beforehand, you’d write down a handful of questions aimed at the person you would speak to, that include information that you aimed to talk about in your introduction (like favourite food, hobbies, ect). Then, after hearing the introduction, the other person would have to answer a few of those questions, and earn points for getting them correct. Then you could switch turns before moving onto the next person.
I think it’d be a great way at getting people confident enough to introduce themselves to people in their target language 😊

I personally like taking my time with language learning, and high stress/intensity language games don’t appeal to me as much (like timed quizzes, for example). It might be a huge endeavour, but what if you had a Stardew Valley type of game idea, which would be more relaxed and the more words that you learn, it unlocks different items like seeds to plant, animals to take care of, weapons to fight with, etc! Or you could approach it where, if you cut down a tree, a word will be released in the genre of nature (or if you talk to someone, it will release a word that relates to relationships or socializing) and you gain experience points which will enable you to unlock new world building features. Just some food for thought! I appreciate you and all the work that your team is doing! 😊

Like one person might need to press a button for the other person to progress but in order to do that you might have to type the meaning of a randomly chosen word. And just make sure to make it a puzzle of some sort, because arent all games some sort of puzzle in their own right?

Will Korean be fully fleshed out? Most apps, though they'll have Korean, it will be a stripped down version of what they'll have for more popular languages like French and Spanish and it drives me nuts that the same features aren't available for Korean. I think it would be fun if the answers you give would change the way the story goes. For example when you are saying things that doesnt make sense people avoid you and you fail your mission. So there are multiple endings and you have to create a conversation that makes sense to finish it and master your mission.

Description: let's say it's for the Japanese language. Each chapter is progressive meaning Chapter 1-2 is N5 level of sentences, Chapter 3-4 is N4 level of sentences, and so on so forth. Then add a natural SRS system where the usage of words is frequent at first, then later chapters it will decrease.
EDIT: Can add mini-games to make it better

honestly, a clash royale-type game sounds like it has potential. The cards include spells you can use (fireball, arrows, or more common words like dog, cat etc.). The cards summon an avatar/moving picture of the card, and the enemy must play the correct translation of it before it reaches their tower. I think it would help connect the word to the meaning a lot better than traditional translation.
There is also a slay-the-spire type game design where you can combo certain words together in your deck to defeat the enemies as you ascend the tower/level.

These could be great if every word or translation you interact with in any game is added to your deck to study later and if the games affect the frequency of the words in your deck.
This way the games can be played instead of SRS for the day, and vice-versa depending on what you want to do.
Like "today I want to play Temple Run," and you interact with your SRS words for the day while playing temple run. Then tomorrow I want to play another game. This all moves me towards my language learning goals.

You can have something like family feud. A team of people learning the same language doing games together. There’s also a Japanese game called Shiritori that can be used as a template for other syllable based languages. You have to say words that begin with the last syllable of the previous word. Like Ne -> Neko -> Kodomo -> Momiji -> so on and so forth. But the Japanese version though you lose if you end the game with N. Not sure if other languages have this or could have this rule. This can help build grammar. Maybe add a drawing option? czcams.com/video/xWtXGMDfjOY/video.html this is a good example of the game. Starts at 4:10 to 8:50.

Yeah, this is similar to something koreans do too, though I don't recall a problem with ending on a certain word, it usually stops if you can't think of a word fast enough, but this also works for other non-syllabic languages too, like with english, I've heard it called word chains where you start a word with the last letter of the previous word, and when I've played it in english, you tend to have a certain topic, so all the words you use must be related to the topic,, maybe that could be a version of the game for more advanced learners or people who have a larger vocabulary on certain topics

How about a scrabble-type game, where you get a set amount of random letters/symbols (Hiragana, Hangul ect. depending on your language) and you have to arrange them, to form a word that exists in the dictionary. Depending on how long/complicated the word is, you get points.
    Example:
    you get 8 letters: OGDAOSFE
If you got "Dog", you get some points.
If you got "Seafood", you get more points.
You could even get a bonus if you are able to use all the letters.
So depending on how big your vocabulary is you could get more and more creative (+you need a bit of luck).
This could work as a multiplayer game or just a highscore-based game, maybe combined with a chess clock, where you have to come up with new words as quickly as possible until your, or the enemys, time runs out and the faster player gets the rest time as bonuspoints.

    Zombie Survival/ Horde Mode:
Essentially, you and/or a bunch of your friends (max of 4) have to kill enemies before they get to your outpost, by clicking on the enemy, which you will then lock on to, and a multiple choice will pop up. If you get it correct, you kill the enemy, and if you get it wrong, you miss your shot. Your gun will have a certain amount of ammo before having to reload, so missing has consequence, as reloading takes time, and hitting your shot and killing the enemy, will reward points. Points will be used for increasing your outpost's health, ammo capacity, reload time, longer range, more damage, and/or even a robot that will give hints of what the next words or phrases will be, etc. You lose by taking too much damage to your outpost.
    Wave Progression:
Enemies could get tougher and would require more than one shot to kill. Thus giving purpose to upgrading your damage. Depending on what makes more sense, you can make it so that only the kill shot requires a language test or every shot requires one. Enemies could move faster, giving you and your friends less time to answer before they get to your outpost. Have mini bosses/ unique enemies that require something different than just, guess the word (i.e. you have to shoot off certain parts of the mini boss that don't require a multiple choice before you do have to go into a multiple choice). After each wave, new words or phrases get added to the list. After a set amount of waves, have a boss round with a different dynamic than just getting closer to the outpost. For example, the boss throws objects at your outpost, and you have to shoot them before they get there. Maybe he does a spin attack or sends some minions with special abilities. Then you have to whittle down his health, and once you defeat the boss, it'll teach you a bunch of new words or phrases, which will then be added to the next waves. This repeats until eventually, you get overrun and die.
    Wave Customization:
You'll be able to either set your language level or specific words and phrases that can be in the Survival Mode; however, after each boss fight, whatever your new words or phrases are: they will get added automatically to the next set of waves. Have a save option for your different settings. Have preset difficulties with a universal scoreboard, so people can challenge each other on how far they got.
    Other Important Features:
Have a progression system that gives you experience points for every match you play, based on how well you did. After each level, you will get points, separate from in-game points, which can be use to customize your character, cool new decorations or styles for your outpost, maybe different noise effects your character makes, etc.
    Additional Comments:
Feel free to add or subtract anything you like. I'm very much into gaming and language learning, so I understand the limitations of making something too complex for a multi-functional language learning app. I figured a stand-still zombie survival would be simple enough to make and complex enough to be really fun, with room for expansion if everyone enjoys it a lot. Hopefully, this at least gives you ideas for other possible game ideas or you like it and make it into the app.
I've always enjoyed your content and watched since almost the very beginning. Can't wait to see all your hard work and passion come to life!

I would love to see a language game with all the mini-games of all card-jitsu games from Club Penguin because it could be very entertaining, of course, at the own language learning app's style, (to be more specific in the snow level/adventure, a example could be the game: "Learn Japanese To Survive! kanji Combat") a rank system is also a good idea to implemnt in the video games so that people do feel even more motivated to keep making progress.
Another good idea is more like a feature, it is about adding Clans/Guilds/Teams and that teams can make clan wars and compete among them (of course the people from the clans gotta have the same target language).
The last thing I would also like to see sounds very hard to do, it is about adding the future for the community to create language mini games, worlds, stories, about certain things, it could be either with a known programming language, with an own app's P languages, or even with an integration to create levels easily.
I accept any idea you have to improve all of these things :)

i left this in a vote but i also wanted to drop it here.
another fun game i personally think would bring tons of fun, would be a buzzer style game, where 2 or more people are grouped or individual. the game announcer says a word and give the description or gender (like a spelling bee) and the first team or person to hit the buzzer gets to try and answer, and depending on the settings set maybe they'd even have to spell the word. for additional points. this way not only is it a time crunching game keeping you on edge, but it also allows for the competition to actually help you remember how to spell and what words mean what. and there could even be more modes to that minigame itself, like a sudden death where once failed that team member can no longer answer for the remainder of the round. just a fun idea

You could also do this, but have a transcription version for listening and writing practice, you listen to a verse or line of the song in your target language and you have to try and write it down, then it can correct you and you can see if there are certain spelling conventions or sounds, maybe certain vowels you have a hard time hearing or mix up and it could give you more lyrics that have those sounds or spelling patterns in them so you can improve at identifying what you are listening to. This could also be used for spoken phrases as well

Edit: since everyone is adding their idea here I suppose I might as well. I think a 1v1 turn based game (maybe card game like hearthstone or even a quiz) that doesn't require both people to be there live would be great (remember QuizDuel?). That way people can play multiple games at once whenever they have a short break to look at their phone, then wait for the opponents to play their turn.
Also I've seen other comments mention cooperative games and I think something like that would be great too!

Like, it’s crazy how much Simlish you can pick up from just being obsessed with The Sims-imagine if that was in a foreign language? Also, it could get progressively more difficult-as at first it could translate in your mother tongue, but later only give you written text in the target language.

I think I missed out on the opportunity to give game ideas, but I'll still throw it out here because I would really like someone to make this real.
I think it would be cool to make a full on RPG game. Like have a character you can control and stuff, but have the game be almost entirely in the language that you're learning. The starting area would be your native language, and you can start by going on quests and stuff to learn about the language. The game keeps track of what vocab and grammar that you've learned and allows you to train them. When you get to a certain levels, you have the opportunity to unlock new areas if you can pass a test and defeat a boss.
I think this game is best understood by example:
Let's say you're an English speaker trying to learn Japanese, the first area would be in English and the quests teaches you very basic stuff. Like maybe a quest teaches you the grammar "X wa Y desu" (where X and Y are potential vocab words) and some vocab such as "kawaii", "gakusei", "neko" for example. You can then train using the vocab and grammar you learned by the game generating either Japanese or English sentences, and having the player translate them or match them with a picture. Like "Neko wa kawaii desu", "Gakusei wa kawaii desu", "Neko wa gakusei desu" for example. And you could train vocab by translating words, matching words with pictures, etc. When you reach level 10, you can take a test and defeat a boss to move on to a cooler looking area that teaches slightly more advanced stuff and now all dialogue is in basic Japanese with some of the harder words or words you haven't learned yet in English. When you reach level 20 you can go to a cooler area and learn even more advanced Japanese and all dialogue will now be in the slightly advanced Japanese you learned in the level 10 area, and so on. You can also gain money to buy stuff, like consumable "hints", "show word", etc. You could also have language and/or level specific upgrades. For example when someone gets more advanced in Japanese they could buy a consumable that converts a Kanji to hiragana. It would be cool to gain skill points to spend as well for more permanent upgrades. One idea I was thinking for skill points for Japanese is to enable furigana, but at level 50 you get the skill points back and can no longer enable furigana. It would be cool to have a battle system, so that you can spend skill points to be able to do more damage per word, more time dodge, etc. You could also have events like a "word of the day" or "special missions" or a difficult sentence to translate, but if you get it correct you get a good reward. Also have cosmetics you can buy as well to encourage more training/practice.
Obviously this is just idea and I haven't thought of all the specifics, but this is like my dream game rn.
Post thought, maybe you could do a turn based battle system, where you have to translate to perform actions, but getting penalized if you don't translate properly. Maybe for bosses, you can build up a meter that allows you to do an "ultimate" where you have to translate a big sentence and each word is a hit. This also allows for different classes. Maybe a more "warrior" type class will have an ultimate that has a few bigger/harder words that do a lot of damage, while the rogue class will have an ultimate with a lot of shorter/easier words that don't do as much damage.

I have more of a meta-idea: many people here are posting their ideas (and hopefully submitting them in the form as well) just to see how people react to it. It would be kind of cool to have a place where the ideas are all collected and people have let's say 10-20 points that they can allocate to ideas they like. If they like one idea a lot they can give it more points or all of them or they can give points to lots of ideas depending on how much they want to see that idea be implemented in the app.
The ideas would probably need to be filtered beforehand for stuff that isn't feasible, beyond the scope of what the app is intended for, or not very practical. Making sure that all the ideas get seen equally is another problem because like in youtube comments ideas that are on page 9 aren't gonna be seen by as many people as ideas on page 1 just by virtue of their position in the list. So that would have to be accounted for as well.

I already posted my ideas in the form with much more detail, but to summarise here for others who might be interested: either a choose-your-own-adventure style set of visual novels in your target language, where each decision you make has an impact, for example not using honorifics correctly if you’re learning Korean will make other characters think you are disrespectful and therefore be less obliging in helping you on a side quest, or having to search objects such as cupboards and bookshelves for clues to help you solve a murder mystery or find a way out of an escape room, with each one requiring you to name them correctly or pick the right spelling/tense/gendering/etc. ORRR a newspaper section filled with chill word/grammar games like Wordle, a crossword, Scrabble/Word Cookies, an editor game about correcting grammar mistakes in short articles, Ikenna’s hangman idea, etc, that could rotate daily on a week-long basis, all designed to help you practice the technicalities of the language. plus a news section with real-life articles about current affairs to teach you more about the culture of places that speak your TL and how it can be used on a day-to-day basis, and lastly a little recommendation box within the newspaper with a different tool each day to help with language immersion - good books, TV shows, podcasts, and so forth!

Hi Ikenna I have a game idea I think you'll love!
The name of the game would be (Speech) it would be an online multi-player rpg game (Think something similar to Sky: Children of light the mobile game) in which a cute ghostlike character wakes up robbed of all its memory on a strange, beautiful island with hundreds of "talk" dungeons located in all sorts of locations around the island. When our character wakes up he'll encounter a guide who'll speak to the player fluently in their target language (which a player will select before entering the live game) asking them things like what their name is, if the character is alright and where they came from and then going on and on without any subtitles on the screen.
The first reaction will be confusion from both the character and the player as they've both yet to learn enough of the target language to understand anything being said to them by the guide, at this point the guide will use his "magic" to connect directly to the characters' understanding within his mind so that the character can understand everything that the guide tells him from now on (This is when the subtitles for all the guide's speech will begin showing). The guide will suggest that something must've taken away the characters' memory of Speech and that in order to get it back he'll have to journey throughout the island collecting sentences by defeating the gibberish monsters hidden within the many dungeons on the island and looking for the monster that is responsible.
There will be many npcs on the island who'll try to communicate to the character asking for help, favors and giving them advise but it'll all be in the target language and in order to understand them the character will have to venture around the island collecting words from chests, quests and word spirits that spawn all over the island. As a player gathers more and more words and sentences they'll be able to communicate to other real life players in the world using those words and sentences. All the words necessary to understanding the speech of Npcs in a specific area will be located nearby the area so that everytime a player learns something new they'll be able to recognize the new word or sentence immediately in a nearby location.
The difficulty of the words and sentences would increase as a player progresses to new areas and having a huge arsenal of words to communicate with to other players will give players a huge incentive to keep playing the game and collecting new words and sentences.
The character will also remember random sentences and words every now and again during the game as well as recognize words and phrases the guide uses to excite players during their grind.
There should be a 'room of subconsciousness' where players will be allowed to communicate without restrictions, located in every major village in all the different areas of the game, here players will be able to voice chat as well as text each other in their target language freely for practice.
Finally the end boss would be Babble, the mysterious monster that stole the character's Speech at the beginning of the game, to defeat this monster a player would have to not only beat him up but also translate correctly multiple sentences and words and then finally they'd have to create 3 sentences of their own using all the words they've gathered, doing all this successfully will win a player his "Speech" back (Unlocking all the unfound words in the game as well as any words that may appear in the future) this means that a player will be able to toggle on/off the translate function for all the speech of all the npcs in the game as well as practice tons of new words and phrases within the players menu (there can be a mini game within the menu that introduces 5 new learned words every 10 minutes and then asks the player to link them to the correct translation) , and from this point on all the battles against monsters will will be tests on all the words & sentences they've acquired thus far and whether they're able to translate them successfully after defeating the monsters. Another great feature I thought of is 2 words from a players' arsenal appearing as the characters' thoughts on the screen every 3 minutes along with the translation while the player journeys through the island, as their lvl increases the number of words will increase and sentences will appear as well along with new formations of words giving the player access to new sentences. Whenever the character thinks of a new sentence the player will get an achievement on the screen notifying them of a new combination of words they've learned.
Players will also be able to manually put together words in a specific area in the menu to try and create new sentences, if they make any grammatical errors the game would just give them an "incorrect", after defeating the babble monster the game will also explain the grammatical issue the player made and what would be the more correct sentence in that instance.
Please let me know what you think, there are many more mechanics and changes that can be included to sharpen the idea but otherwise I hope you like it 👋🏾😃.
I give you permission to use the idea but credit me pls.

For example , if I was learning Spanish, I could go to "Mexico" and move my avatar around the space while talking with other players I would run into. I played a game a while ago where you write words that match a topic before time runs out. Something i personally struggle with in learning spanish is my small vocabulary. Therefore i thought of a game that maybe shows you a picture, and for every word you know that matches something in the picture, you get points. The more "obscure" or difficult the word is, the more points you get. If not a picture, maybe a topic? You can also have a pvp aspect, where you compete to get more points than your opponent. Between rounds the players could pick from a list of themes/pictures, etc.
I personally think this could be used to develop a broader vocabulary, but it could also be used for more "advanced" learners to learn grammar by changing the mechanics slightly. For example, it could show the user a text, and ask them to mark different grammatical forms (or errors) used in said text. Maybe the opposite, that it asks you to write something in a language, and based on different grammatical uses gives you points.

Similar to the 1v1 Arena mode but in a Competitive format. So everyone starts at the same rank from the bottom (e.g Bronze) and you queue against another player around your skill rating, battling out with a combination of tasks (translations, complete the sentences etc.) with both players having the same questions. This could be who can complete the most questions in a given time or first to five (gain a point if you are correct and the other player is wrong, no points given if both correct). You would gain or lose skill points depending on the outcome and the higher rank you are, the harder and more difficult the questions get testing your knowledge of what you have learnt in a fun competitive way. There should be month long seasons, giving some form of currency at the end and a border around your profile picture representative of your rank you achieved. At the end of the season - the player would begin the next season with 5 placement matches to acquire the starting area for them (this would tweak their skill rating around the place of the last season).
I know I went off track of the game idea a bit but I am just so excited!

I was thinking after you mentioned Ztype in your video…. Even though ztype is fun it’s really hard to want to play because it’s not that rewarding.
What if you did something more similar to monkeytype which for whatever reason people love to use (even though it’s just practicing typing) because it rewards them with stats at the end that tell them they could be even better. And there could be other prizes as well.
I was thinking there would be multiple different modes where maybe you saw all the words but typed them in your native language so you can practice your translation skills (and other way around), or one where you literally just type what you see to practice the alphabet, etc. And to make sure it’s not too hard, it generates actual sentences (unlike monkeytype) that are also structured to your level of grammar and the amount of words you know.
hope this was a good idea and not a waste of time to read!

It's not a game and I don't know if u guys already made something similar. But it would be great to have a section with content like LingQ where we could have access to different Visual Graded Novels connected to the flashcard's system. Or even better, an anime series made for language learning that progressively gets harder... The idea is for the user not to realize the transition between more simplistic dialogues to harder ones. This is probably more interesting to have at an intermediate B1 stage to not create a bad show simplifying the dialogues just for the sake of creating an anime for beginners. It would be really useful to have a few anime shows that are translated in various languages and made to efficiently improve in the language and that is actually fun to watch (comprehensible input).
Another idea is to have a review heatmap for the flashcards like the Anki extension, that helps A LOT.

I noticed from the other games you had been coming up with so far, there doesn't seem to be any that aim towards learning/improving sentence grammar or sentence structure, so I think adding one that would fit that niche would be really beneficial.
For more details on this idea, I think the whole thing could be based on immersion, and you could have things like quests, where maybe someone needs to get something, so they'd have to know what they are looking for, or be able to ask/answer questions along the way, so they'd need to understand what the questions are asking and how to answer so that the npc can understand them.
Another aspect could be building up certain skills, like dungeons and dragons traits like charisma, wisdom, strength, etc, based on how you respond to questions or other characters. Or you could go on a different route and choose quests that are based on different topics of interest, so the quest could be, for example, based on music, so you would learn music based vocab through it, and it could level up the "music" stats of the character, or give them a specialization in that field.
Having quests based on different topics could be really helpful for people to find content that interests them and would be relevant for their own language learning, some other topics could be things like politics, gaming, food/cooking, romance/relationships, school/education(could also delve into specific school subjects), literature, folklore, history, pop culture, all sorts of things. Each of the specializations could start with a level that covers the basics then progress so that you get more advanced as you increase your level for that skill/topic. Not everyone may be interested in each quest or find it relevant to their language learning, but I feel everyone is bound to be interested in something, and having specializations or higher levels in certain skills could also help for other aspects of the app where you interact with other language learners, as it would help people to see if they have common interests with other players and what their proficiency level is in these topics and the language overall.
This whole skills/topics thing could also be integrated into other parts of the game, like the flashcards being sorted into topic categories, or playing the game Sanders had come up with where you could match up with people based on the skills they have or which categories of decks you want to play against. I think having these skills/topics features integrated into the app would really help for people to be able to personalize their experience so that they can get what they want out of the app and so that they will be able to learn through things they are interested in.
Specializing in specific topics can also help learners to increase their understanding of how the language works and get really advanced in a specific field without always having to worry about or get bogged down by learning mountains of vocab. This is partially based off of how I've heard some language institutions like religious or military ones that help their students to learn languages to a really high level by focusing on very specific fields. If you focus on specific topics the learners are interested and get to a high level in those, then they can apply what they learned more easily with new topics and vocab, or they can simply talk about the things they care about if they're not interested in other topics.
Another completely unrelated idea for a minigame could be something like a word search or crossword where you get a picture or description of something, then you have to find the word in your language in the word search or write in the word in the crossword. For objects and physical things, if you use images instead of just the word in your own language, then it may help people to more naturally recall the word in relation to what it is referring to instead of manually translating it in their head and always relating it to their native language.
This concept could also possibly be incorporated into the ZType idea, where you have to type the word for the object or thing that is coming towards you, instead of just typing a translation of a word that is coming towards you. Or you could have versions of the game both for naming objects/things and for translating the words.
Anyways, I sort of ranted, but I hope there may be some things within all of that that you think would be helpful or improve the app. I think that this app will be an amazing resource for language learners. Thank you to you and your team for all the time, thought, and effort you have put into it, I'm really excited to see how it turns out and to try it!

I already submitted my response, but having the ability to choose to play the games with certain other learners you've been talking to or a "friend" function where you could ask to be friends after playing a game would be cool,,, if someone hasn't sent their suggestion yet, feel free to add this to it

I absolutely love these ideas!! I submitted my own earlier today and they’re actually kinda similar to these, I think a lot of people want some kind of story game but it would be super cool for the app to incorporate some of these extra features you’ve thought of like the DnD traits

Going off the implementing typing games idea, there’s this typing game where you race against 4 other typers and every time you type a word you give yourself a boost towards the finish line. It’s pretty addictive and I play it sometimes with a friend. I feel like a two player mode might motivate people to learn more than their friend because they don’t want to be the dead weight on the team.

The card game is an amazing idea. Personally id like a catd game like that but cooperative to defeat a boss. And for example the element of the card is owed to if it is an adjetive or adverb noun etc. So depending of your need you will use your deck

One enquiry I have about the app is off there will be more african languages excluding the popular Arabic. Because there are very few good apps for languages like Igbo(the one I want to learn) and other popular African languages

This! I am trying to learn Shona and it's so difficult to find any apps/learning materials online, and the ones that I can find are not very good. There needs to be more accessibility to more African languages in language learning apps.

Looking forward to this app so much! Already voted and added a possible question, but I'll ask it again here. There are method for those who are dyslexic and have really trouble trying to study a new language from 0? I personally want to study Japanese so bad from years but even hiragana are hard to memorize and it'll great to have some sort of association game or method to help with!

I was thinking of a Pictionary type of game where you are presented with a street view in the country whose language you are trying to learn, and you have to translate as many signs as possible!
There can be a free mode, and a timed mode where you have a limited amount of time to translate them! There can also be leaderboards for the timed modes ranking who translated them the fastest! It could even be multiple choice, since some signs at restaurants and shops are unique, in Japan for example, you would have to pick out the correct romaji translation, or if it is a street sign, you would translate it directly. The idea is there but I didn't think about it long enough to work out the kinks. I'll leave that to the experts if you decide to use it!
Thank you for all your hard work on this app! I am looking forward to it's release!

My idea is a language learning rpg game where your power to defeat enemies is based on your level of comprehension of the language you're learning. Like you'd start in a location where the enemies can be defeated with simple words and phrases, and the only thing keeping you from taking on the hardest enemies is your level of understanding. Boss fights could be about memorization, where words are thrown at you and you have to type the correct translation in the order they appear to do damage. Have NPCs that you can run into that greet you in a different language and also teach you phrases and words to help you advance further. These NPCs would be like interacting with a native speaker so it could be really engaging. Those NPCs could also quiz you briefly for a chance to win an item, such as a potion for healing etc. Have achievements that reward player titles to incentivize progress. I hope this helps and good luck on your progress towards teaching the world!

My game idea is: two players each have to read the same paragraph or small passage of material. Then, they each have to translate each word or any highlighted words in the paragraph. Whoever has the most correct translations wins!

I guess I’m just thinkin’ like from the last videos, you said there’s a difference between fun learning and effective learning. So I assume the game should have both. But I think understanding is ok, but applying, comparing and contrasting, or like creating things from intuition could make learning more effective.
So application purposes, I believe conversation with native speakers is phenomenal for the purpose of casual speak and broad enough for any setting. Though I find it difficult to actually muster up the courage to speak to others. The texting part of the app could be beneficial, but maybe a game where you go on a date or outing with someone with timed answers that make you make sentences could be good? Or buying things from a store you have to say the items on the list and do like cooking mama afterwards where you say “stir” or “cook” in order to do actions? Something that has you apply your learning in someway or create something you can use or show off.
