Transforming Pakistan's Higher Education Financing! I EconFest Debate
Vložit
- čas přidán 15. 11. 2023
- Navigating the financial landscape of #HigherEducation during periods of socio-political instability presents a formidable #challenge, primarily due to the prevailing financial constraints that exacerbate the situation. Within #Pakistan, the issue becomes particularly acute when we consider the sheer number of educational institutions.
There are over 200 #universities, spanning both the public and private sectors, and they find themselves in a precarious position, directly impacted by the dearth of financial resources. The consequences of this financial #constraint extend beyond just the #institutions themselves; they have a ripple effect on the larger #society, as they undermine the country's progress, technological #advancement, and economic #development.
In circumstances like these, the role of the government and international #donor agencies becomes indispensable. #Government intervention is crucial as it bears the responsibility of ensuring equitable access to quality #education for all citizens. Thus, collective efforts can ensure that higher education in Pakistan not only survives but also thrives, #nurturing the next generation of #leaders, #innovators, and #contributors to society.

Teaching not to hate 'Kafirs' would drastically change / improve everything in Pak. No need for reforms in education system.
I felt like crying listening to Dr Mukhtar Ahmed.

What an outstanding candid EconFest, thanks so much PIDE. Listening to these debates means curing ourselves against the blurriness that educational institutes-universities-job market complex have caused to us. The truth flown out of these talks is enough for re-orientation of our steps in right direction.
Aren't "financing" as well as "higher education" both considered "haraam" by mullahs?
Need A "" University of Political Science, Financial Fairness & International Affairs in Pakistan .

Pakistan has almost unlimited resources which are being foolishly wasted. The entire University system can be transformed overnight. Make sure every university focuses more on Islamic instruction and Quranic research. This will attract billions of dollars from grateful Muslims all over the world. Then, transfer all zakat funds to universities that train Islamic researchers, teachers, and activists. They will make Pakistan a better nation and will become Pakistan's unmatched exports earning unimaginable amounts of foreign currency every year. Finally, Islamic research will enable Pakistan to leapfrog ahead of all other nations in human productivity, societal capacity and Martial power.
Inshallah, Inshallah

Noted Dear.
I really feel very much pity that this gentleman talking about expenses on higher education by Pakistani government 😢
"Quality." A perfect word for Jinnah's bankrupt Muslim ghetto to grapple with. Quality is the word that is associated with responsibility----a virtue alien to the colonized. Before doling out high salary to a professor, does he fit the job description? Is he able to speak, lets say, Urdu without inserting English words parading intellectual laziness? Is he, aside from being just a professor of lets say chemistry, aware of histories? Histories---yes, plural of history. Is he aware of the history of Britain? America----the home of the I.M.F---that keeps the bankrupt Jihadi state afloat? A "Quality" professor is not just the master of the universe just in one subject. He is intelligent enough to make a distinction---historically speaking--- between the vaccine-inventing civilization of America and a disaster like Pakistan that rests upon imported goods and I.M.F bailouts. Students: are they equip? To step into the minefield of Artificial Intelligence? "Quality" is the word. Give the professor an applause for recognizing the beauty in the word.
What a meaningless discussion what a waste of time and money
