Saxophone Repair Topic: Cleaning Hinge Rods

Saxophone repairman Matt Stohrer of www.StohrerMus... over-describes how to clean hinge rods on a saxophone so they are TRULY clean and so your oil starts out clean and lasts longer with less wear on your keys- a thing rarer than it should be. This is an imperfect video.
In real life (without the camera on and me narrating my work) cleaning and straightening an entire set of hinge rods during an overhaul takes maybe an hour, possibly less. Pivot screws take a further 20-30 minutes.
