I like the idea that there is only one screenwriter and one producer making almost every major movie in Hollywood.
Sounds accurate to me lol
That would explain so much for me lmao.
There are different screenwriters and producers, but in this universe, everybody has the same face. You can tell them apart by the clothes.
There are different universes! Mandalorian season 3 pitch meeting confirmed it with the side quest!
The actual people are surprisingly samey some of them
I love how simply recounting the plot of the movie is the most damning criticism you could give the film XD no joke could be funnier than that screenplay
It's like the honest trailer for Jupiter Ascending
I love this film
It challenges the plan of the Joker in the dark night in how improbable it was.
@@DMHR100That movie is so overrated lol. Like every other Christopher Nolan movie, it is only good to watch once.
@@GeronimoPlaz stop trying to be different and just enjoy shit bro
My favorite part of Civil War was when Iron Man e-mailed Captain America to tell him they were no longer friends.

No way! Same!
I can’t believe it I also love that scene
It's a core memory
I still love the line "Marvel wishes they'd thought of an e-mail scene"

The “Lex Luthor plan explanation” was pure genius
Luthor coming up with a convoluted plot actually makes sense. That's how the minds of mad geniuses work. The character started out as a mad scientist in the comics. Gene Hackman's Luthor portrayed it that way too. The cold and calculative mob boss attitude developed later. Luthor's also criminally insane in BvS before a stay at Arkham helps him develop into the cold and calculative mob boss in JL Snyder Cut.

This definitely reflects how far Ryan has come. This isn't a bad Pitch Meeting, but he's definitely gotten better.
Yeah, Ryan has definitely upped his comedic IQ and irony skills since he did this pitch meeting. I mean just compare this one with The Flash pitch meeting.
I kinda feel like people who are new to pitch meeting missed something by not seeing the evolution of Ryan
100% true
The idea for Graphic Designer Guy to have giant eyes is hilarious, and that example of him at 10:10 is too good haha
I know! Wasn’t it brilliant that he put it in the 100th Pitch Meeting?
And he was like, "I love what I do, and I really put a lot of myself into my work."
@@catlord3117 It was definitely in pitch meetings before that!
God damn Ryan George incepting my mind!
Since we do these revisits, I noticed one of the biggest differences (for me) is, how much more expression writer guy and studio executive have. They often use catchphrases still in place today but Ryan (and the other actor) mastered their delivery and expression. The lines are not as impactful in those earlier pitch meetings. One can clearly see how Ryan (and the other actor) improved over the years.
Edit: and Im so happy he got rid of the shaky camera. On fullscreen it caused slight nausea.
"and the other actor" 🤣
Yep I noticed that too. And in the second half of these revisited sketches his delivery is so crisp. Pitch Meetings are one of the few series I can watch twice so this format is perfect seeing a Pitch again after so long and really getting into his thought process. I thoroughly enjoyed this episode.
They've improved A LOT over the years. Acting/Timing is so good now.
Now if only we could get Zack Snyder to stop using shaky cam
i love how screenwriter guy and producer guy actually became more charismatic and enthusiasm more smiling all the time.
They are in love
It's all the money they made over the years with the crap they were schilling the audience 😂
I don't. Their perma-smiles are the stuff of nightmares!
Yeah, this was just Ryan talking for the most part. These days he acts a lot more, which helps raise the quality a lot
It's just like Epic Voice Guy said in the Honest Trailer of Pitch Meeting. From normal guys to perma-smiling psychopaths.
Man, I remember the 100th episode of 'Pitch Meeting', where he joked about the graphic designer of the thumbnails and the reason he makes them all with googly-eyes. Pretty funny actually!
Yea. That joke was very funny. Can't believe people are saying it never happened
Yeah I remember thinking 'it all makes sense now!'.
@@justindai8401 Must be the Mandella effect
Oh yeah I remember hearing that joke somewhere. Now that you mention it, obviously it was in that pitch
googly eye guy is definitely real, i've seen him make those thumbnails myself!
It’s crazy how you weaselled your way into ScreenRant, but Pitch Meeting is the best thing they have
What do you mean "weaseled"?
@@dalekrenegade2596 That’s what he said, I’m just quoting
"And he makes really high pitched Mickey Mouse noises" That line gets me every time. 🤣🤣🤣
Edit: that final joke with the cut off word was amazing.
This channel is Ryan's subtle and clever attempt to migrate from comedy into being a full-time artist.
I think at this point he's long ascended from that. I found him without knowing he originally started this working for screen rant and just saw random videos people sent me. He could do whatever he wanted career/comedy wise and people would still love him for being him.
Returning to older Pitch Meetings always makes me appreciate how much more, like, fluid and fast-paced these videos have gotten. The acting and the editing are a lot smoother nowadays.
That "like" in the middle of your sentence was as much of a waste of space as you
Also, he changed the background.
Yeah he really honed his craft.
It's hard to explain the difference, bit definitely has progressed.
And he's stopped doing the random floating background thing as well, which I'm really grateful for.
The amount of movie scripts that SO many executives, actors, etc have read that didn't pick up on how absolutely convoluted the plots were is staggering
It's so crazy how much different the energy is in these old ones. Almost like a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy. But the writing was so observant and funny that it held its own. But Pitch Meeting today is just pure fire. :D
Man, that "copy of a copy of a copy" line brought back a great Nine Inch Nails song for me, absolutely out of the blue, will go back to that album tomorrow, thanks!
Yeah he hadn't settled into his style yet, which is absolutely impeccable now, but the observation and comedy skills are definitely present.
What differences do you see to the newer pitch meetings?
@@calapinet he uses a totally different voice and cadence now, and the dialog is quicker/tighter
@@saulspeaks2557Producer Guy has evolved the most. Originally, he was just plain Ryan talking, while Writer Guy was more of a character since early on. A consequence is that Producer Guy lost a bit of his initial role as "the voice of reason".
You have to admire the fact that Lex Luthor took the time to design the logos for all of the heroes in his emails.
He didn't. They come from their respective suits (except Cyborg's, which is basically a C around a circle). That's what's brilliant and grounded about Snyder's world building. There's a why and how to everything.
@@AshrafAnamthey are designed logos
@@bern9642 THEY COME FROM THEIR RESPECTIVE SUITS
@@AshrafAnamcyborg's logo is in his head. It wasn't designed by Luthor either.
@@beastyyypie But only the circle. The thin C around the circle probably Lex's creativity. And I don't see anything wrong with it. A logo is the quickest way to identify an idea. That's what I love about DC...they have the most iconic logos and really emphasize on them. You don't need to say Superman or Batman or Aquaman or Flash, you just show the logo and everyone knows what you mean. Marvel really lacks that.
Holy crap, is that *the* Ryan George from the thing I'm currently watching? How Ryan can get such prominent guests never ceases to amaze me.
OK, that's seriously meta.
I see your pitch meetings not as mockery of the movies but humoristic in the way all the things we see in the cinema actually sound very outlandish and quite funny. In liked the last of Transformers, knowing it is already a formula to entertain kids, although the ending battle was too long, and I enjoyed a lot your pitch meeting of it. I cannot unsee Endgame from it x,D
I've loved Pitch Meeting from the word go, your hilarious over-blown cynicism and the brilliant irony with which it's delivered. It's fascinating to see someone with your talent explaining how these come together and looking at your own work with a critical eye rather than defending points where you feel you missed perfection. Keep up the good work!
“ then he’s gonna force feed Candy to a guy “ made that whole monologue worth every second
Surface level stuff like this really makes me wonder abut the level of Brainwashing in our society when it comes to what goes on with our politicians cause how do you watch one of our Elected Representatives giving a Rich Donor everything he wants only for the guy to then feed him a treat like he's a little doggy and just go "Hurh Hurh he made him eat candy"? Hell the fact that a guy like Lex has access to our politicians at all should give you pause.

I wish some people that I work with had that kind of work ethic 🙂 keep up the good work. Young man. Big fan
I love the plot summary in this pitch because no other pitch did this and it only serves to showcase how convoluted the plot is.
My favorite part of the 100th pitch meeting episode is when they cut to the new graphic designer with the giant eyes. Really explained the thumbnails.
Yes it totally happened, I remember it as if it were yesterday
What really sold it for me was the comedic foreshadowing in the previous video. Masterful way to pay it off...amazing!
Oh, the Mandela Effect is TIGHT!
Ryan must have re-uploaded that video and cut that part out, because I can't find it!!
Yeah I lol'd and thought oh boy that Ryan is so clever... when I watched the 100th the first time
I hope he brings back the graphic designer character with the giant eyes who makes the thumbnails. That was my favorite part of the 100th episode of pitch meeting where he pitches pitch meeting.
You're awesome!!!
And so cool that you even discussed your own mistake in a video. You're hilarious AND transparent. Thank you for being you!!
I love your work Ryan, thanks for putting it out there! 😄 We're all our own worst critics though, like HONESTLY that dubbing on the flubbed line was entirely under the radar. I didn't notice a thing until you pointed it out, it was a fair fix if you ask me 🤷♂
Watching young Ryan in this Pitch Meeting as both the producer and screenwriter is like watching young Mac and Dennis from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, specifically from when they're discussing their Dolph Lundgren scientist movie.
Full penetration then the movie just sort of ends 😂😂
Dolph Lundgren played by Dolph Lundgren?
Less confusing than giving someone a whole new name
I still want to see that movie made.

Honestly, the "googly eyes" were the only factor that stopped me from watching my first Pitch Meeting. They just made me feel, I don't know... weird. I finally gave in several months later and haven't missed one since!
The actual reason is CZcamsrs have found that in thumbnails people would look more attractive if their eyes were slightly edited to be a bit larger. I thought Ryan was parodying those by making it ridiculously large.
I didn’t watch them because they made fun of my favorite movies. I was so dumb back then 😅
Revisited is a brilliant idea, I was going to watch the meeting again anyways, getting the directors commentary as well is just a bonus! Super easy, barely an inconvenience.
Love these re-watches and the additional info, everyone i show your videos to loves them as well. Keep up the good work, and thanks!
You can really see the development in Ryan's skills in terms of emphasis and action thanks to these revisits. In the best way possible, this one feels like a fan trying to make a tribute to Pitch Meeting. (Because he's improved that much over the course of making them.)
I 💯% concur
Yeah his editing has gotten tighter, his line delivery has gotten better and perhaps most importantly, his shit-eating grin has gotten bigger and more shit-eating.
Fans regurgitating catch phrases is tight.
I don’t know why, but for some reason this video reminded me of your 100th pitch meeting. Specifically the scene where you claimed to have found a great graphics design guy to do your thumbnails and then showed a pic of that guy having massive googly eyes, I loved that bit! :D
Yes, that was a great joke that was definitely in the 100th episode and not an afterthought.
Best joke in the 100th pitch meeting episode, hands down. Or up, idc.
That was a great joke! It's just shame that there is no way for us to check it
That was even funnier than that movie where Sinbad played a genie!

This is hilarious. I saw the movie in the theater, had NO idea what was going on, then went to sleep for the middle 2/3rds of it, and the only thing i remember is superman's funeral. Great stuff! So cool, with the delivery of a hilarious visual gag in the 100th pitch meeting, Ryan went back and updated all the thumbnails to capitalize on the joke. Truly inspired.
This movie was such a train wreck, but the Pitch Meeting was *tight*!
You didn’t understand the movie and that’s okay.. you see it was a stylistic choice to make the characters uninteresting… Snyder brought these outdated characters into the modern world.

Hey Ryan, in a previous video, you mentioned that one of the reasons you don't do game or (many) TV show pitch meetings is because of the amount of content to consume and time involved.

I would LOVE just to sit with Ryan all day just talking about movies. He clearly has a grasp on this.
I'd love you to do The Dark Tower- a book adaptation that tried to please fans of the story and those who'd not read it, and completely alienated both!
He could do "The Stand" or the original "It" series for the same feel, and that's just King stories (although honestly, the end of the Dark Tower series just annoyed me with King adding himself to the story, let alone picking again on the guy who hit him and killed himself over all the crap he took for hitting a guy walking on the wrong side of a country road)
@@metheus108 I liked that part of it. When taken in context of the greater King universe of novels and short stories, making himself a character really worked for me. I'm a huge fan though, so I might be biased.
