Just wanted to say it should be possible to do this without desoldering it, just bridge the boot pad and use the 'via_passthrough' option in the configurator. The only thing is you HAVE to turn of telemetry in betaflight or else it confuses the bootloader.

it doesnt work VIA PAssthrough.. Im having exactly the same problems with the same rx. Checked all the documentation, and tried every possible metod exept FTDI...

Try disabling telemetry on you f/c befor doing passthrough . And don't have betaflight running when your trying to do it . If that doesn't work you might have to use a ftdi unfortunately 😕
@@ts13fpv I've done that,but it did not work ...
But I've managed to flash it later.
Decided to use my other laptop and it worked straight away.
I remember having driver problems some time ago,when I build my pc,but later I was able to use bettaflight configurator or any other tool without any problems.

Hi. I'm not getting stick inputs after binding an elrs Flywoo nano 1s to jumpter T lite with a happymodel 2.4 rx. Any ideas?
Possibly tx and rx wires mixed up on the reciever maybe ?
@@ts13fpv Oh! I just noticed that under compatibility options in elrs config, you don't have the inverted option ticked. I have this ticked for both tx and rx. Would it be this? Thanks so much for you time dude!
It could be . It would be worth trying to see if it solves the issue
@@ts13fpv Got it working! The fix was to invert on the TX side and not on the RX side in elrs configurator*
Was also getting stuck in the lua script on 'Loading' no matter what version I tried (Had tried them all. even at the same time lol)
The fix for that was to flash via Uart then save the .lua directly to the SD card rather than drag and drop a previously saved version**

I'm unfamiliar with that reciever. Does it maybe have a boot button that you need to hold down when you power it up?
@@ts13fpv solved it...the problem was i accidentally bridged the gnd with a tiny pad above it that i didn't see...it was the boot pad...so thats why it always stayed in bootloader mode...now everything working! thank you for your videos :)

I have problems with a jumper receiver... it is giving RX Lost and critical signal even close to the RX both TX and RX are in the latest version 2.5.0 and I don't know what the solution is anymore... help

Please help I have the same problem. But the biggest problem is that I have bout darwin baby abe 3 of them and noon of them I could get to work. they burned up before I could even fly. so now I am sitting with the last one, it has the build in reciever. I had bind it to namoni tx module at some point but now what ever I do does not help. any idea's ! Thank you
If nothing is happening and one of the recievers was bound then check to make sure that the firmware matches on both the tx and rx . With the ones that have burned up I'd make sure the the pads you are soldering to are correct and not to high voltage .
@@ts13fpv Thank you for responding to me. the first 2 burned up by just connecting a small 2s batteries to it, when I wanted to check the motors on the betaflight. The last one, will not bind I have the yellow flashing light, but it will not connect to the wifi nor will it do anything else than flashing yellow while choicing the other connection in expresslrs companion ( or what ever it is called) I was looking at Joshua Bardwell and he says that build in recievers are really difficult and there is another way of binding it to the rado, but I just can not. Thank you again for your time
It may just be a defective batch . I'd contact you supplier and ask for a possible replacement or refund .

@@ts13fpv I got them out of ebay and the chiness man wanted to give me 20 dollars so I just very poligtly aske to shf. it. ...:) I dont know If I was unlucky or because I am out of my world. I come from Iran and sometimes move to a new place( people are not always friendly) because some very creasy things happened with my post as soon as I moved to a new place...I do not know if it is that then some people are really...( thank you for responding. I think I just throw all of it in the rubish, and just buy or build a better known one.

From FB, a lot of people are reporting 3.01 is bricking the receivers. Go back to 3.00 Two of mine got bricked.
I'd seen this , apparently the devs are aware and have pulled 3.01 for now . Thanks for the warning 👍
Just done but no stick movement on betaflight and the right port is selected and binding fraise are the same
Your tx on the reciever needs to go to the rx on the flight controller and the tx to the rx(f/c)
Maybe try swapping them around

In the reciever tab have you selected serial based receiver and then crsf . In the drop down menus .
czcams.com/video/Ssgre1VBGSs/video.html this vid show how to install elrs on a th2fs . The steps are the same for any quad . Might be worth watching just to make sure you've got all the step right
Just remember once you've finished flashing that you have to unbridge the boot pads then you should be good to go 👍
I have the same issue with the 2 of the rx one I was able to flash and bind but the other two have the solid lights. I tried bridging the boot pads and flashed through betaflightpassthrough with no success. Do I need to use the device I have in the video for this to work?
When you flash through betaflight passthrough you need to disable telemetry first . It confuses the bootloader if you don't. You can turn it back on afterwards.
Thank you! I was able to get it to work finally. Just one receiver down to go the one with an onboard ceramic antenna . I had an error saying it could not detect the com port. But will try again.

I was having the solid light on my jumper aion mini rx. I was finally able to flash it via wifi by soldering it to a 5v power regulator but even after that I plugged it back into my protek25 and it would not detect…. Just solid light…
Some uarts can put the receiver into bootloader mode unintentionally. Is there another free uart you could use ?
@@ts13fpv there is only one more uart and it’s set to IRC tramp so I think that’s taken… after much fiddling I decided to put a crossfire rx in there. I didn’t feel like taking it all apart either as the stack includes part of the 4K camera.
@Daniel Simental It may just be the receiver. Another guy was having the same issue with a betafpv receiver, then he switched to a happymodel one, and it was fine . Not ideal but that could solve the issue if you wanted to go with elrs
@@ts13fpv thank you! That was my next question… do all ELRS RXs do that? My crossfire micro is on my jumper t16 and my elrs aion nano is on my newer t pro which is where I really wanted it. Smaller gear fits nicer into a smaller pack. Now I gotta lug around my t16 haha.
I’ve been getting failed flashes constantly and it’s making me want to switch to crossfire..flashing can be a nightmare if they fail
It's a bit of a steep learning curve with elrs , failed flashes can be a pain .
