The skipjack are biting at Old Hickory Lake right now. It's so bizarre that I know that considering I've never fished in TN lol. Realistic Fishing just caught a couple there on a 2 inch jerkbait today.

Especially when they're hitting, hard, fast, and furious! I've caught some fish in my lifetime that struck so hard and fast, and that seemingly came out of nowhere, that it's a good thing that I have a Strong Heart! Otherwise, I'd of probably about keeled over dead from the shock of it all! 😵😀😀😀

The deer where I live aren't even afraid of us. There's a nature center where lots of deer live, and you could walk right up to one and pet it and it still would stay put.

That one Largemouth Bass that you caught about 2/3rds of the way through this video, the one you said was hitting weird, fought and jumped around like a Smallmouth Bass! I thought that that was what you caught, until I saw that it was, indeed, a Largemouth Bass. Great video, as always. You DEFINITELY put up a great Bible Verse! Recommend next time below the dam, put one of those skipjacks on a catfish rig with float for the striper. State record is like 65lbs.

Good to see you up in my neck of the woods. Old Hickory is my home lake. It’s pretty dirty most of the time, but does produce some great Largemouth.
Your right they would make great bait . I would imagine there is some monster cats there too . Beautiful place , really enjoyed watching. 👍
Dude that's my spot!! It's loaded with fish there. Big crappie, sauger, hybrids, huge bluegills. The othe side of the dam is a better spot though, where the barges goes through. Hope you had a good time! 🙏

This is 5 minutes from my house! Cool to see stuff I recognized. There's always deer down at that park. There's an archery course right there too. That's a really popular spot to fish.

Old hickory is my home lake.The bite can be really good when the currents going.It absolutely sucks on days when there isn't alot of current.
When the current isnt going there's always monster bluegill&catfish still biting.right where he's standing.

I have been there, now that I think about it, it’s super deep, the current is STRONG, and I was fishing right on the edge lol. Would not have been a good situation if I stepped the wrong way and fell in

Try 2 flies stacked with a small 1/8 casting spoon below them . You will pull in 2-3 Skipjack at a time . Its what we do here at the Ft.Loudoun dam. Great vid brother . God bless

Man yall got some nice creeks and rivers in Tennessee. Down here in Texas we got a little something also. We don't have Rock Bass in my area but we have Guadalupe Bass in the Creeks and Rivers.

You should fish the Percy priest dam
To increase catching larger bass in the creeks, increase the size of your Hellgamittee to 5” bigger bait bigger fish. Plus you’re still not gonna lose the smaller fish either. It’s just a better look.

Suggestion, try Fishing a wide gap EWG HOOK, 2/0 fish your hellagamitte weedless . Add a 1/16 oz bullet weight, with or without a bomber stoper(Texas rig) it will improve hook ups and a lot less sagging . You won’t have to rig your bait sideways.
i fish there just about every day but further down the way at the second parking area. decent walleye and sauger :)

I fished a new private pond for the first time today out of the kyack. About 8 acres..the guy said throw nothing back..4 hours 52..1 bass 5 shellcrackers and the rest bluegills..already cleaned them...and of course I will be posting pics on fishbrain...the sunfish Assassin77 strikes again...

You may or may not find the bait cast reel feels more comfortable if you put it in the palm of your hand Almost wrap your hand around the reel and the rod. 👍
