I have a wait-and-see attitude about Skenes. After all, he has pitched only 34 innings in the minor leagues. While his strikeout rate has been amazing, he has never won or lost a game in his brief minor leaguer career (0-0 pitching record)!

I’m skeptical about the longevity of a collegiate pitcher that doesn’t go straight to an organizations pipeline where they can manage his progress.
I think skenes is a unique case because this is his second year pitching. He was a catcher before transferring to LSU so he doesn’t have a lot of wear.
