Katy doesn’t get enough credit for her songwriting. She’s a hard worker and deserves more credit for her work behind the scenes. She does this with every song she puts out since she’s always the main writer for them.

Honestly, she should have released this as the second single. After Chained To The Rhythm, she needed something the opposite of upbeat and poppy to drive Witness: Power is soulful, electric, and jazzy - and fit the bill for her "purposeful pop' claim. Oh well, live and learn.

Ben 7 no thts not her trye self, cus she actually eantedto make tht a pop album, but her parents doesnt allow her to do it, so it ended up being a christian rock type of album. Witness was more like who she really is. Bcs ever since one of the boys album, she says tht she have been playing this character called katy perry. And in her theraphy session which is live streamed, she says tht she wanted to be katheryn hudson (her real name) so bad that she doesnt want to look like katy perry anymore. But for her next album, a fan asjed her during a meet and greet if she will bring her black hair back. And she said tht she will definitely bring it for her next album.
Handy Pranata Since when did depression become some body's natural self ? .she wanted to be a gospel singer like amy grant but it didn't work out ( so her debut album is still like her because she wasn't katy perry at that time, she was Katherine hudson ) . Witness is not like her at all, she went through a breakup and cut her hair, she was very depressed while making this album, people said the same thing for miley when she released bangerz and cut her hair and went crazy after liam broke up with her, but look at miley now, she's happy and she's not that 2013 miley anymore. ( those days she said that she was being herself but she was wrong she was simply depressed ). Also, therapy sessions are supposed to be private, katy recorded it just to promote witness.

Faberge was a man that created golden/porcelain eggs that were sold to the aristocracy on the XIX century, especially Russia. The eggs are very fragile, and that's what she mean on Hey Hey Hey, and rhyming "Faberge" with "can't break me" was a very clever line

I used to have something with someone more than a year ago. We got apart and Witness came out. Since the first time I heard “Power”, I felt so connect with it and amazed how much this lyric described exactly what I was going through at the moment. It became my second Katy’s favourite song and an anthem for me. One year latter, after still having this same person in mind, we tried seeing each other again. Today, I broke up with him, because even I still have feelings, I wasn’t getting anything back from him (when he were the one who came back so we could try again) and this video came out.
This reminded me why I love Katy, why I feel so connect with her, why I cried a river during this song at São Paulo show and why I’m worthy and that no one can take my power.

People need to stop saying she’s over. The same things have happened to other big artists such as Beyoncé and Lady Gaga. It’s the 4th album curse (4th album is usually when artists try and experiment an it doesn’t always do so well...) Katy Perry still got a #4 on this album. She’s growing her hair out after summer ends and returning to her black roots. I predict she’ll get her 10th number one on the next album, along with better sales than this album.
