Esto ya es irreversible no es que contratando un entrenador vocal va a cantar mejor, ni la cirugía puede ayudar. I haven't seen her live in a few years. Back then, it was still exciting to see her live because you never knew if she was going to really "go for it". And when she did, it paid off. Even though that prospect is gone, I would still see her out of support. I want her to keep making music, her studio craft is enjoyable and evolving. Still an unpredictable writer and artist. But perhaps that is just me.

The whistle was live and clearly she’s overdone it. That’s fine though, at least she’s still up there doing it. But it’s the clearly switching back and forth between prerecorded track and live, and her engineers not being good at masking it that I don’t get. I support lip synching if it means we get a GOOD show. But it needs to be seamless. It can’t be so obviously different between live and track. It’s the sound quality I’m referring to. The whistle was live or prerecorded, whatever, but the belts at the end of DFAU were from 2005. And the long note at the end. And that’s fine! It’s just that it SOUNDS obviously metallic and different. Then she switches back to live and it’s suddenly deeper and echoing in the venue…her workers and sound guys suck.
Powerhouse voices are like ...fires....they flare up they are very intimidating, fierce, consuming, overpowering, dominating at their height but fires are not meant to last though they do damage at their peak! As much as I have loved her since 1993, whoever does her audio needs to be replaced. Clearly the parts at the end of DFAU are from the original 2005 version. And I’m not hating on her at ALL. I support lip synching. I’d rather see a good show than see my faves struggle. But what I can’t understand is the cheap way of doing it, where it’s very obviously a different sound quality to her live mic. There’s such a change in sound quality. It’s obvious when it changes back and forth. The timbre, and the overall richness of a live mic vs. the metallic “tinny-ness” of the track fluctuates too drastically. The belts are too crisp and clean and sound very close to the original, which they are, and again, I don’t care-I support it-but those parts also sound very metallic and different. Then, when she starts singing live again, it’s suddenly deeper and with more reverb and bass (because it’s echoing in the venue…) Celine Dion has some talented sound engineers. I’d see about hiring them, personally. You can’t tell when Celine is switching between live and prerecorded. It’s flawless. Whether it’s live or not, it’s seamless and you can’t differentiate between the two. And again, this is nothing on Mimi; I have been a fan for thirty years and always will be. But she may not have the smartest workers behind the scenes…or at the shows…
i think mariah chooses the tracks she wants to lip to which makes it harder for her sound engineers to make it sound more seemless. she usually chooses the studio version or outtakes shes made for certain songs back in the 2000s like WBT or FLAB. only recently has she started using tracks that match her current tone. i remember at her 2022 christmas concert she was using tracks from 1994, yet shes rerecorded most of the songs she sang at the show back in 2020, so it made no sense for her to lip to the 1994 version lol. another thing with mariah is her tone is constantly changing. so making tracks can be extremely inconsistant. its like she'd have to rerecord all of the tracks per era and i just dont think she'd do that. edit: forgot to add one thing lol... its just i wish she'd be more comfortable with lowering the key of the songs. idk if she thinks most people still hold her to that standard from 30+ years ago but i know i dont. she's proved herself decades ago lol. i don't care if she's not doing the exact adlib of a song from 1993 in the same key. just knowing she is confident in her voice is all that matters to me

The whistle was live and clearly she’s overdone it. That’s fine though, at least she’s still up there doing it. But it’s the clearly switching back and forth between prerecorded track and live, and her engineers not being good at masking it that I don’t get. I support lip synching if it means we get a GOOD show. But it needs to be seamless. It can’t be so obviously different between live and track. It’s the sound quality I’m referring to. The whistle was live or prerecorded, whatever, but the belts at the end of DFAU were from 2005. And the long note at the end. And that’s fine! It’s just that it SOUNDS obviously metallic and different. Then she switches back to live and it’s suddenly deeper and echoing in the venue…her workers and sound guys suck.

Powerhouse voices are like ...fires....they flare up they are very intimidating, fierce, consuming, overpowering, dominating at their height but fires are not meant to last though they do damage at their peak! As much as I have loved her since 1993, whoever does her audio needs to be replaced. Clearly the parts at the end of DFAU are from the original 2005 version. And I’m not hating on her at ALL. I support lip synching. I’d rather see a good show than see my faves struggle.
But what I can’t understand is the cheap way of doing it, where it’s very obviously a different sound quality to her live mic. There’s such a change in sound quality. It’s obvious when it changes back and forth. The timbre, and the overall richness of a live mic vs. the metallic “tinny-ness” of the track fluctuates too drastically. The belts are too crisp and clean and sound very close to the original, which they are, and again, I don’t care-I support it-but those parts also sound very metallic and different. Then, when she starts singing live again, it’s suddenly deeper and with more reverb and bass (because it’s echoing in the venue…)
Celine Dion has some talented sound engineers. I’d see about hiring them, personally. You can’t tell when Celine is switching between live and prerecorded. It’s flawless. Whether it’s live or not, it’s seamless and you can’t differentiate between the two. And again, this is nothing on Mimi; I have been a fan for thirty years and always will be. But she may not have the smartest workers behind the scenes…or at the shows…
i think mariah chooses the tracks she wants to lip to which makes it harder for her sound engineers to make it sound more seemless. she usually chooses the studio version or outtakes shes made for certain songs back in the 2000s like WBT or FLAB. only recently has she started using tracks that match her current tone. i remember at her 2022 christmas concert she was using tracks from 1994, yet shes rerecorded most of the songs she sang at the show back in 2020, so it made no sense for her to lip to the 1994 version lol. another thing with mariah is her tone is constantly changing. so making tracks can be extremely inconsistant. its like she'd have to rerecord all of the tracks per era and i just dont think she'd do that.
edit: forgot to add one thing lol... its just i wish she'd be more comfortable with lowering the key of the songs. idk if she thinks most people still hold her to that standard from 30+ years ago but i know i dont. she's proved herself decades ago lol. i don't care if she's not doing the exact adlib of a song from 1993 in the same key. just knowing she is confident in her voice is all that matters to me
