I own a 58 sixty special, but the brougham is my favorite car of all time. What a treat to see both of these together, and that Fleetwood is a stunner.
The 58 is my favorite post-war Fleetwood. It's the only one I would want. It's nicer than the 59. I remember seeing a few of them when i was a kid, but they were rare even when new. Interesting the Eldorado has full instrumentation. The 58 has only fuel and temperature for gauges.
The '58s air ride isn't hooked up. There's a pull know underneath the dash near the ignition switch to raise the car for changing a flat tire. There were no springs on those cars, just air bags, that wouldn't let you change out a tire unless the system was fully deployed.
Curious about the '58. It does have an air compressor for the air ride but no front air reservoir tank, it's got to have a tank & those are in front of the radiator.
A contemporary road test of this against the '58 Imperial and Lincoln found that the Cadillac front seat was the least comfortable because the road testers found the front seat cushion was too short. An aunt of mine back then had the '57 Sixty Special and I loved it as a child. What's your opinion on that seat cushion? I love the placement of the a/c vents on these cars. My preference for whatever reason has always been the '59 and '60 Eldorado Broughams, partially because of that amazing windshield. Thanks so much for the video!
I’ve never been in a ‘58 Imperial or Lincoln. These aren’t my cars, I was just lucky enough to be invited to film them by the owners. Can you just imagine what it must have been like, rolling up to the country club in one of those, wearing a fancy suit and hat. I can’t imagine anything built today have that kind of style and class. I recently got to test a Porsche Taycan sedan and that’s pretty close by today’s standards.
@@westofthelakecadillacclub Seeing the hard seat in my current SUV, I would love to be able to luxuriate in the cars out in the early seventies when I learned to drive. When a Porsche meant the original 911!
Gorgeus cars, sadly modern day cadillacs are overpriced plastics. Those era cars were the top of the industry's luxury and opulence, Rolls Royces of that time never had that level of detail and tech.
Incredibly Beauuutiful Cars!💕
Dynamic duo....love them both

Beautiful first cousins
Both cars are beautiful! The features on both are impressive. Some new cars are not as well equipped as these 2. Thanks for sharing

Thank you for this share, both cars are time capsules.

The rear end treatment of the '57 El Morocco tries to mimic the Eldo Brougham.

The 57 Eldorado Brougham is the hands down winner. Hand built. Stainless roof. Suicide doors. The guy is trying to sell the 58
They are beauties, but neither of them are for sale. Thanks for watching!
@@westofthelakecadillacclub thats okay im not buying. loved to see them both.

60 Special lower rear quarter trim is stainless.
"I'm not going there" 😂
Cadillac was clearly not using the parts bin approach here
