  • This time around the translations were by Mads (@maddsgram twt) and Letters. They worked really hard on it and it turned out very well! The original translation can be found here: docs.google.com/document/d/12.... Thank you for letting me use it!
Well, that's Yuno's. Next will be Kazui's. After that I think I'm going to make a compilation video of the timeline conversations.
I've had to talk to a bunch of translators for these, and I'm very introverted so it's been kinda tough... but I'm happy to work with so many talented people!
    Voice actors:
    Es: Amami Yurina
    Yuno: Yuuka Aisaka

I love how Yuno straight up calls out the audience for projecting all these assumptions about who she is and painting her as a naive/tragic character, just like we're making all these assumptions and theorizing what everyone else's deal is based in the minimal information we have. She feels annoyed that the entire basis for forgiveness is how much we sympathize/like the character; she doesn't need or want that. She's a young adult fully in control of her own life and choices, not a victim forced to make a difficult choice. Honestly I'm pretty sure that's a big part of why she had an even bigger margin voting her innocent this time around; people respect that she was upfront about her feelings and showed that she was self aware about her situation.

This isnt true. Its trying to get us to vote with our emotions instead of logic. The writers want us to vote her guilty, she even said in her MV that she wants to be voted guilty. However we voted her innocent, it feels like the writers knew they would do such a thing, that people would vote innocent because they view her as a "queen" or something similar.
Jackalope always tries to lead us to vote with our emotions instead of logic, we know hes sadistic. So he knows something bad will happen in the end if we do vote with our emotions, which is exactly what happened with yuno. People are looking into favoring the character rather than actually taking their sins into account.
Because Millgram validated her once again in the second trial, I'd see that either Prisoner no 10 or Prisoner no 08 might do something to yuno in the third trial.

@riverthecrybaby9448 Sorry if I'm trying to spread misinfo as I am new. Correct me if I'm wrong ^^
If I remember correctly, she said she has done *many* abortions, some people who voted her guilty stated that, even though they're a pro-choice, they find it annoying that Yuno has done many abortions, which could be avoided with many ways such as birth control pills (I think some of the community know she is aware that she has done multiple seggs just because she wanted to "satisfy lonely men" and "doing this out of free will", I know that minors cannot consent (she has done this before she turned 18) but I do find it pretty confusing that she did this out of "free will" and "just wanted to satisfy lonely men" (my theory is that she also did this out of "curiousity") and didn't think of the consequences, plus, she has done this many times and seems like she got used to it, which is pretty concerning for someone who just turned adult like her (iirc she's 18)). And do keep in mind that abortion is expensive as hell (could cost around $600-$2,000 in the US), if she got paid to do a rent-a-girlfriend business, why would she spend it all on her abortion? It's not the fact that she chooses abortion for the good of her. It's the fact that she has done it multiple times. As a pro-life(due to religious reasons, but doesn't mind for people who is a pro-choice), I kind of find Yuno's "murder" quite reasonable at first, but after digging down deeper I kind of doesn't appreciate what she has done.
Again, this is my point of view, I can't change yours, I'm just stating what I've seen from discussions. And also, she might lie. Stating each prisoners sins earlier doesn't go in-line with what MILGRAM's project is, this might even just to further make the drama even more interesting, like the Mu situation, so it would be recommended to not judge the book by the cover. Thank you for reading my essay, and please be civil in the next reply thread! :D /lighthearted /genuine

She's the only one getting hurt here, making this behavior alarming but not in the "omg evil!" way. It's self harm, the procedures are safe but it's not fun having cramps and bleeding a lot or getting poked in a doctor's office. Not to mention the possibility she was diying it which is very dangerous and possibly the reason she suspects her death

Yeah because unlike America, Japan is not pro-abortion and thinks it's an evil practice if not done for medically necessary purposes. This is why the Japanese were primarily focusing on the fact that she is very young and innocent placing her into more of a childlike sentiment for psychological justification of abortion which would be deemed as fair in Japanese society. But her scamming men for sex and then aborting babies like they are trash is seen as tantamount to murder over there.
A lot of Americans voted her innocent simply because they think abortion should be available on demand at any stage for any reason including convenience. So they voted using their western sensibilities of abortion and didn't think about how the Japanese viewed abortion. Since MILGRAM is a Japanese project they really only looked at the Japanese comments and maybe looked at only a handful of English comments. Since most of the Japanese comments were about her being a child still and using that as justification for the abortions (despite being illegal in Japan) that's probably why her response was the way it was.
Obviously this topic is a hot button issue in the United States with multiple extremes across the political spectrum so it's not like the Japanese are going to 100% understand all of the stances and take them into account for her situation. But I do think a lot of the western fanbase needs to leave their cultural bias at the door and look at these characters as Japanese in Japanese society dealing with Japanese attitudes and realities instead of just voting a way that agrees with their western political stance.
Abortion needs medical justification in Japan from a doctor and consent from the baby daddy. She had neither so the Abortion was tantamount to murder of a baby in Japan.
Basically Yuno is the Japanese version of Alexee Trevizo. Killing a baby she knew was going to be born simply not to deal with the consequences of her own actions (sex before she was ready). The justification some are using is that these girls are too young and scared to understand how messed up it is to kill a baby to protect themselves and simply panicked about the situation.
And we see where that idea has led to in MILGRAM.

I don’t think Yuno thinks her abortion is makes her guilty, but she hates that she would be forgiven for being perceived as a child who was taken advantage of. Of course abortion shouldn’t make her guilty of murder in any case, but does the fact that she knew exactly what she was doing change that? I read that the age of adulthood in Japan was just lowered from 20 to 18 this year, so Yuno is legally an adult now. But I wonder what people’s opinion of her would be if she was 20 years old from the start.
I wonder if the writers are trying to stray from just the abortion and go more into the business of prostitution and rental girlfriends itself.

@@seraphiinas So, as to why Yuno is in milgram, here’s my take on it:
MILGRAM doesn’t necessarily take in people who have committed first degree murder. I think Milgram takes people who think, or are aware, they’ve committed murder. If you really think about it, while some find their own actions justifiable, no one will deny they have committed murder (well aside from Mikoto, but he’s a special case).
I think Yuno sees abortion as murder, that’s why she’s here in the first place. She also doesn’t seem to like herself very much, and this voice drama seems to somewhat imply that she doesn’t want to be taken lightly for her “crime”. She wants people to see it for what she sees it as, taking a life.
I think she has somewhat of a conflict with herself: she sees abortions as murder yet she didn’t feel like she committed murder when she herself did it, which would technically go against her own beliefs, possibly leading her to dislike herself.
I think Yuno sees herself as guilty, and I think she felt unjustified when people were making all kinds of excuses to voting her innocent, when she herself didn’t think that way.
Just my theory tho, it can all fall apart if Yuno doesn’t actually consider herself a murderer. But the voice drama seems to imply exactly that.

What about the names of the voice dramas? Could they perhaps mean something? in this one, -273,15ºC is equal to 0K (zero kelvin)... Could it be referring to the fact that she's more "cooled off" now? A thing's for sure, it's definitely referring to the recurring theme of lack of warmth (0K is a temperature that's so cold it's impossible to achieve irl). Either way, I don't really know what to make out of this, so take this info as you'd like.

I feel like they want to sell us on the fact that she’s a bad character but I feel like we’re all in agreement that what she did simply wasn’t a crime
I think moving forward with her innocent vote, one of three things could happen
    1. They try to sell us on pro life by having her think about the life of the baby that could’ve happened or have her grow malicious to the idea of abortion.
    2. Decide there’s no where else to go with her character, her case has already been solved, kill her off
    3. Somehow someway, get her knocked up by someone and see how her stance develops then(which I think will be the most interesting)
But yes easy innocent vote, the most I could knock her for is a slight attitude adjustment but even then that’s just petty

I don't think she's guilty personally because she's not actually murdering anyone imo because when people get abortions they're usually these tiny things smaller than ur fingertips that aren't conscious... The only thing she might be guilty for is like lying to her sugar daddies abt her age, but this is a trial for murder not withholding info or lying.
I saw a lot of people during the first trial say like "she should learn her lesson" but why? Like just let her do what she wants, of course the physical effects of abortions can be bad but having multiple babies can not only be bad for your body but also ur entire life. Loved ones might shun you, your babies will grow up in unsafe and unhappy environments if you don't want them... Like she's being kinda reckless but at least not to the point where she is damaging other people for the long term... Plus it's not like its not consensual.
But what really is the difference btwn a guy doing what she does and her doing it other than the fact that people try to have more control over a woman's body and create more stigma and shame? Of course, there's the dangers of abortions and pregnancies but guys can get people pregnant, but they aren't shamed, and they certainly aren't shamed by the public if they run away as much as the girls who are shamed in those situations because she had sex...
Anyways vote her not guilty!! UH this is just my opinion ofc but idk i wanted to get it out

Hmm I would have liked to see her voted 50% Innocent and 50% guilty, the verdict of her results doesn’t matter so it well enough should be that (or more like innocent, 50%, guilty) though it’s highly improbable.
    The question of whether any of them are alive is a great one If this was a game that I could play for myself I simply wouldn’t vote but since it’s all of our opinions that may not even matter, what’s the point in not voting for something, this is for our own amusement or other reasons after all;
I mean if that was to be some how confirmed, then we’d formulate our own reasoning behind it just as Yuno said, something like in this case since we voted Amane guilty or vote her guilty again, it could lead to some form of hell instead of the wanted results of her learning that cults ideology is wrong.
In the end I guess all that really matters is the crowds of people with the same opinions; whether the results lead to freedom, prosecution, punishment, religious outcome or nothing at all doesn’t matter does it, it’s just about the tidal wave of super ego’s, opinions.
I wonder what this game is all about and if we will get to judge Es (or the masses opinions projected into Es and spat out by him using his ideology,)nin the upcoming years?

People who vote her innocent. Most likely you'll be in for a surprise in the third trial.
Think about it, People are mostly voting for her innocence even though the writers specifically want her to be voted guilty, even she said she wanted to be voted guilty in her MV. Most likely this is a reverse psychology type deal. Since Milligram voted her innocent again in the second trial. I have a feeling that most likely, Prisoner number 10 or prisoner number 08 would try and hurt her.
No matter if you think Abortion is murder or not, we don't know what the characters think about that. However, i have a prediction that amane wouldn't be so keen about that, we never know.
However it is for certain that Yuno, most likely with her validated the second time, won't make it out unscathed.
Personal opinion: I don't know why people keep voting her innocent. No matter your thoughts about her murder, she acknowledges that she has no remorse for it and that she'll keep doing it. I feel like that, paired with the crime, makes it way worse.

    • @AN6_Miro
      @AN6_Miro Před 9 měsíci +11

People keep voting her Innocent because abortion literally just isnt murder, meaning she doesnt even NEED to be forgiven for murder. Its as simple as that. It doesnt MATTER if she feels remorse or not, because she didnt do anything wrong in the first place.

    • @Sleepy-Koala

      @@AN6_Miro
You're not only supposed to vote on just their crime alone or forgiveness. But you also need to take into account if you want to affirm their ideas or not. You saw it with Futa, you saw it with Haruka, you saw it with Makoto, and amane (and maybe Mu) we made the wrong decisions and it caused a whole lot of trouble with them in the first round.
All of them are murderers. Yuno too. She wouldn't be there if it's not considered to be a murder. Many doctors who are pro-choice and even perform these abortions themselves agree that a child from conception has the full DNA making of a human being and by the 1-3 week, the heart is beating. Thus proof of the baby being a living thing. Thus killing it would ultimately be, murder. How can a heartbeat stopping mean death, but a heartbeat starting doesn't mean life?
Anyways I'm not here to go into a full blown argument on abortion because I'm not here for that.
However it is for certain that whatever you think of abortion, two things are true.
      1. The abortion(s)was the murder she had done.
      2. Yuno has no intention of stopping from doing her crime over and over again.
In Yuno's first trial, we see that she could have had three more abortions at the end, all with a smile on her face. On her second trial, she literally said to vote for her guilty because she knows she's a murderer, which can be supported by her second voice drama which she admitted she didn't care about it.
The writers are telling us to vote her guilty for a reason, especially with Amane around, I don't know if she'd let Yuno off too kindly. Again just a theory. Plus, this innocent verdict can possibly change her for the worse, just like how it did Amane, Mu, Haruka, etc.

    • @AN6_Miro
      @AN6_Miro Před 9 měsíci +10

@@Sleepy-Koala 1.) Its a murder *according to MILGRAM.* We already know that MILGRAM considers multiple things to be "murder" that OBJECTIVELY arent. Kazui even outright says that if MILGRAM considers him a murderer, its definition of murder is too broad.
Abortion is objectively not murder because whether a thumb-sized bundle of cells has a heartbeat or not is really the most irrelevant thing about it.
2.1) Yuno answered the question "If you coud turn back time, would you commit the same murder again" in her 2nd Trial Interrogation questions with "Id make sure that i dont have to commit it. thats all".
2.2) Quite frankly she could get an abortion every two months and shed still be in the right to do it. The "She has no remorse and kept doing it!" argument falls completely flat because *there is no need for remorse in the first place.*
3.) Does she ACTUALLY ever say to vote her guilty though? She explicitly says that her issue isnt being forgiven itself, but being forgiven based on the arbitrary assumption that she must be a pitiful victim with a tragic backstory. She is also pretty clear that she hates MILGRAMs system and its judgment in general.
4.) You are assuming that just because the writers are trying to push us into voting her guilty, its the "correct" answer, instead of simply challenging whether we will stand by our vote if she isnt the, to quote Yuno herself, "acceptable" version of herself a section of the fanbase expected her to be.
Yes, voting Prisoners innocent made them worse... and so did voting them guilty. I dont think ANY verdict is going to help these characters. If we voted her Guilty, it wouldve just messed her up someother way. Because "helping them" or "making them understand their mistakes" is not the purpose of the Votes. The purpose is to judge whether you forgive them or not.
Quite frankly the only way i could see the votes ACTUALLY having a positive effect on any of them is if we either somehow managed to completely abstain from voting (which is not gonna happen) or get a perfect 50/50 split (which is incredibly prone to just end in unwanted results via last second votes). Because the actual real Milgram experiment was about peoples willingness to hurt someone because an authority figure gave them the okay, which seems to very clearly be what we are doing.

remember kids, abortion is murder without a victim!
though I think Yuno fundamentally understands this - hence why she calls herself a respectable murderer. Nobody else is getting hurt by it, technically speaking. She knows what she did is wrong, but she’s also doing compensated dating (it’s prostitution) to make herself feel warm/happy. Pregnancy is just a bothersome side-effect of it.
Personally, I think she engages in the whole situation by taking on different personas to feel loved; but she finds her clients disgusting, and us, for psycho analyzing and laying assumptions about her.
Her true personality is icier, monotone and serious compared to the bubbly sweet character she tried to play herself up as for her clients (and es initially.)
On a grand scale, Yuno isn’t a bad person, but she’s using compensated dating as a cover for wanting to be loved. She becomes the person who we want her to be - but she wants to be seen for herself and that her sense of self is stable regardless of what we think/judge.

What kinda irritates me about her case is purely the fact that if it is just abortion, then she shouldn’t be here? The only way it could be considered “actual murder” in my eyes is if the baby is already is already in the 3rd trimester, and she’s “aborting” then in her own way. Even then, I personally don’t care enough about a baby with no genuine personality for it to make sense to me.
I wish there was more to her story then just “abortion” because there will never be a thought of her being guilty. At this rate, she doesn’t even need to be here, I don’t care if there are people who SEE it as murder, it’s not, and it’s as clear as that. It’s not murder unless that baby is in the third trimester or born. That might make things more complicated, otherwise, it’s not a question. That’s the only reason I don’t like her case, because it doesn’t feel like a case, it feels like she’s there for the pro-lifers and genuinely, their thoughts and opinions don’t matter at all🤷

she literally just got rid of a bundle of cells, not a whole baby human. she doesnt deserve to be there, and you can see she clearly doesnt regret it and she feels better knowing she isnt carrying what she describes (as far as i can recall) a "sensation"

I think she did the abort by herself(or maybe she killed the baby after they were born), not in some kind of hospital and something
And all the milgram thing is about people who lead someone to death, not that murdered someone
That's what I think, at least

      You don't get it.
If that's your point of vision then Fuuta and Mahiru(probably Kazui too) are also not killers.
Milgram is all about leading someone to death, and Yuno with her abortion, leaded a fetus to death.
Her whole trial is not about her crime but about herself- If we will forgive her and let her continue doing what she's doing, what's pretty much that.
Fuuta doxxed someone and unintentionally made them kill themselves, he didn't killed anyone. Mahiru was on a toxic relationship and leaded her partner to death, also didn't killed. Kazui lied to his wife and when he said the truth, she killed herself, again, he didn't killed someone, he leaded someone to death.
You don't need to kill someone directly to be in Milgram, you just need to lead someone to death.

It's because Milgram's interpretation of 'murderer' is so loose. Take somebody like Futa, who never directly injured anybody, he technically isn't a murderer. Yuno being here doesn't mean they are making a statement like 'abortion is murder' but they are challenging that idea instead.
