Over 40 years ago, I was acquainted with Gary... he was a hell of a guitarist back then and I learned quite a bit from him about music and life In general. Back in the late 70's, I lived with, and was under the impression that my future wife would be his younger sister Kathy... she had other plans and i don't blame her for her smart decision to cut me loose. Gary's talent aside, the Alongi family was the most upright and decent of people I had ever met. I not only was in love with Kathy, but Joe, Celeste, Karen (my favorite among them all) Janet, Gary, Mike, David, and even Wayne... I know that no one will ever see this post, but at 62, I feel the need to put it out there and thank certain people for having played a part in shaping and influencing my life experience. It'd be great to jam with Gary again... he'd find that after the last 40 years of playing, I'm a much better guitarist ;) . God Bless the entire Alongi clan.
@@tammiehammett5054 I had a video of him and Duck playing two HOT instrumentals opening for John Lee Hooker on CZcams but can't find it. I'm 71 and think that that is some of the finest playing ever
I love the sound of Gary's guitar playing along with the back-up band bass and drums: it's just cool!
