    HOPE THINGS ARE IMPROVING FOR YOU AND BRYANA! Life has a way of throwing us curves and was so sorry to hear of the serious medical issues. Keep the faith - we're all rooting for the two of you. I have enjoyed watching you as you progress with your off-road riding, which as you've shown, is an acquired skill with practice. I have noticed that Zach has a "modulating" tail light. Do you know what unit he is using? Thanks, and hang in there.

    I was diagnosed with Atrial fibrillation myself about 6 years ago. The first time my heart rate was high enough for me to go to the hospital it hit 180 BPM while laying down and standing it went to 208 and every bell and whistle on the heart monitor was going off so it is a serious thing and excessive chest congestion can make it worse for me so don't hesitate to get yourself checked out by every doc in the country till you get one that can tell you what's wrong and prescribe you a treatment. Wishing you and yours a great holiday season.

    BTW, in a previous video you said the JNS foot peg brackets are all that would be needed to fit my size 12s on the KLR... you were right! Thanks!

    Hello scratch. My name is Dave page and I'm a Hello, KLR Rider. And I was wondering how I go about purchasing one of your stickers. It's a really cool little logo. I've learned a great deal from your videos. And it's been very helpful from a beginning. Ryder to my level now. And thank you very much.

    Jim, when I have them "pelps" it's because of different types of stress, mine will start because of negative stress. It is do to a surge in anxiety, you don't even feel them coming on. I find it best to keep my plate clean, doing things as they pop up. I am a home inspector, I own Anders Home Inspection in Edmonton Alberta Canada. Good luck.

    I'm a KLR owner as well. I've go terrible peripheral neuropathy but can still ride. I kinda do the lower controls out of habit, can't feel much down there. Anyhow, I went the pain killer route too. I'm off all those and am doing better now. I've got my brain back. Point is I'm willing to talk with your wife since it sounds like we both have bad signals to the brain.

    I was watching this video (never seen your videos before) because of the KLR (they interest me) but when you started talking about heart palpations my ears perked up because you had the same experience with it as I did. Doctors seem to dismiss it as just a quirk and don't really get excited about it. Well it turns out that atrial fibrillation is a pretty common thing but also doctors just don't have much experience treating it so they hope you'll just be as casual about it as they are. It's an electrical problem in your heart muscle. There are operations you can go through that can temporarily put you back in regular heart rhythm. From my research on treatment I've decided not to forego spending thousands of dollars on treatment that only gives you a 50% chance of working and if it does work it will only last about 5 years and you're back to square one again. Get a cardiologist to give you an exam and he will give you the entire rundown. My palpations quieted down after seeing a cardio. doctor, to the point that I rarely even notice it and am quite comfortable. All he did was examine me. Like you I had very powerful thumping going on, it scared the heck out of me to even go to bed because it was so frightening. I am being treated with 2 different blood pressure pills. One slows my heartbeat.....don't know what the other one does but it has made my life so much better. The older you get the more likely you are to develop a-fib and getting a general practice doctor to do something for you is hit or miss (at least in my experience) it's very frustrating. Thank you for bringing it up....I heard from you the same crap I was going through. Good luck Jim

    hey scratch. I dont want to tell you what to do, but if i have any suggestion for your wife/girlfriend i would really look into a Keto/Zerocarb/Carnivore diet. Its helped so many people with Arthritis and inflammation. Theres lots of evidence that Sugar, Grains, Starches and other carbohydrates cause chronic inflammation in the human body. I think its worth looking into. i can say for me, that its changed my life. I am a new person. I would have never been able to ride a motorcycle before i changed my lifestyle. now i feel like superman, energy, strength and stamina are all back now! Wish you guys the best of luck

    I decided to watch another episode thinking I was going to see something about a motorcycle. Wondering what if Scratch was still riding his KLR after test driving the BMW 1250 GS. Instead we get a man lesson about love,empathy, Dedication & patience. What a beautiful man.

    Aside from the stress induced health scares (I am not a doctor 😬) it sounds like 2020 is going to be a lot better for you and the family. Your wife has made great progress, you’re losing weight and getting in better shape, and you’re starting in a lucrative career field. Get the yoga mat off the tool box, get on it and just breath, the light at the end of the tunnel is NOT an oncoming train👍🏻

    LOL... I'm laughing because I can totally relate to the vast majority of your struggles. I've had a lump on my right mid abdomen since I was a teenager. Doc told me it was nothing to worry about unless i started to have discomfort from it. Which as irony has it, its because its starting to. My wife has been at home since mid 2011 before our second kid. She attempted to reenter the working world this summer.... got a job and lost it within two months. She has been told she does not qualify for disability, but is having the hardest time getting a job because of lifting restrictions by her doc along with sitting/standing recommendations.... and her hearing impairment. After she started the new job, I sent her to buy new hearing aids, which she needed, and now I have THAT added expense along with other financial issues that I have handled on my own since 2011. I'm working almost two full time jobs and I'm just treading water.... and have been since 2016, which damn near ruined us. I've got the overweight, thing along with several other "minor" problems I've been trying to keep in check. Stress and caffeine are hard on us. While I'd like to say you're not struggling alone, I know it feels like it. Keep doing what feels right, bud. It'll all work out.

    Waking up with shortness of breath sounds to me like you should get a sleep study done, perhaps it's as simple as Sleep Apnea or something. If you have it it could be contributing to your anxiety and some of that other stuff. Just food for thought

  • @RobRidesCarolina
    @RobRidesCarolina Před 4 lety

    Hey man, keeping you in my thoughts. I know the feeling of trying to figure out what could be wrong.. it's not fun. The lack of breath while falling asleep sounds a like one of the symptoms of sleep apnea, which I have as well. It can also cause heart arrhythmia and atrial fibrillation. I would advise just getting a one night sleep study done. A sleep Doctor can advise more on that. Take care man, and let me know if you have any more questions about that specifically.

    One step at a time Brother. Lessee...Bry has ongoing medical issues...You are doing the off-and-on single parent WHILE worrying about said health issues WHILE studying for the home Inspector's test WHILE trying to get a new business off the ground. Can a give you a little hint? You're juggling quite a few balls buddy. Ain't any wonder you've been having stress attacks. My recommendation (and I ain't a doctor...) take one evening a week (or two weeks) and dedicate it to Jim and Bry time. Breathe, brother, JUST BREATHE! Focus on the big parts. Ride on.
