Yes, much heavier! but my swing is more with hip turn like a dance so I rarely swing my arm while detecting so I cover a lot of ground and love using the big coils. That wet coil in dry sand will kill any arm though, so hit the dry with a dry coil.

How do you find gold on every beach hunt? Why don't you shore more realistic detecting videos and show the reality of the hunt of finding more trash then treasure detecting on the beach.
I have shown many of videos where I find very little, however that was when I released 2 or 3 videos a week showing every hunt. Now I only show my best hunts and 1 video a week. I find 50 to 60 pieces of gold on average a year and if you do the math with 52 weeks a year then it may seem like I find gold on every hunt. FYI - I dig a lot of trash and I show that trash at every wrap up. So I hope that answers your questions and you can always join me on the beach and hold my camera for a few 6 hour hunts and then you can show everyone in your videos one of Jim's realistic hunts.
