- I found 3 RINGS & Lots of SILVER while Beach Metal Detecting at Coronado Beach near the Hotel Del Coronado. I find 3 1/2 Rings and a Huge 138gram silver chain. I enjoyed seeing the Navy Seals perform training exercises and the beautiful over cast early morning with a little drizzle to start.
I treasure hunt using a Minelab Equinox 800, usually with 15" coil on the beach.

I swear the woman was growling when you gave her back her charger. LOL she didn't look happy. I joked around with Treasure outdoors that all of us detectorist need golden pull tab necklaces made up so we recognize each out of our natural environment LOL
she was a grumpy one. Yes a golden pull tab chain necklace would be awesome! Seeing gold color then a pull tab is the worst feeling a detectorist has, LOL!
Jim, I know you’re way too nice to do so but that b***h needed to be checked straight into the boards (karmically, of course)…I would have demanded she at least smile and say ‘thanks.’ Who knows, maybe my approach would have gotten me cursed by a witch like her; but some people need to learn manners even if it’s too late for them to prove they at least know what social mores are!

That is exactly why I get excited when I find fruit on the beach, Thank you! Actually I enjoy a free fresh fruit snack when it washes up, so that is how I started associating the finding of fruit with bringing GOOD LUCK! 👍😎

Same feelings but different coasts
Found 2 ringpop rings yesterday. Also had a group of kids following me to see what I was finding. Stopped early because of them.
Lol, Ring Pop rings! I do not remember ever seeing so many on the beaches. I usually have kids watch and follow, some are really amazed at what I am doing, I suggest embrace and engage with the kids. Unless they are group teens then I suggest move on, Lol! Thank you!
@@funwithjim Yesterday I was detecting on a sandbar, in knee deep water, when I got a loud and solid 9/10 hit. My heart rate went up until I seen what was in the scoop. A stainless steel washer.

Jim you need to get a detecting pal! My wrists kill me but not with this harness. You can swing a 15” coil all day no pain!! Trust me get the pro model best money you will ever spend and it’s cheap!!!!!

That chain is too heavy to be warn comfortably, I tried it on for only a few minutes and it shredded my neck hairs, Lol! I remember after Hurricane Maria exposed Coronado beach, now that was epic gold day. too bad I did not have a GoPro back then. I've decided to develop a new philosophy about detecting. Now, I go out solely to pick up trash but when Mother Earth feels like I've cleaned up enough to deserve it, she'll give me something good as repayment for my efforts. Manage expectations. Can't wait until I've picked up enough to deserve a reale. :-)

Question: What do you do when you get a signal and you scoop and scoop and scoop and it seems like the item is never going to come out?
Recently bought a Garret Sea Hunter and this is happening frequently at Huntington Beach... don't have the motivation to dig three feet down every other hole 😳
Large deep signals can sound shallow, trick is to raise the detector above target until the detector can no longer detect the target. If you lift the coil more than 2 or 3 feet and still hear a strong signal it is a large target. I hope that helps! Thank you! 👍😎
