- Inspired by real events, today's cinematic film is set in Belgium '44, in the Ardennes region. This is the German Last Ditch Assault, where American troops at Lanzerath were among those who faced the blitz's first wave, which included Tiger 2 tanks. Their actions and desperate defense caused significant damage and won precious time for the Allies to stop the Bulge advance also known as Operation Watch on the Rhine.
For the first time, this map was made by using a fully implemented realistic height map for maximum realism.

Well as many times in this war, its small soldiers decisions that played also a major role, there were American soldiers which blew up a fuel reservoir of the allies which wouldve had enough fuel that the germans couldve continued that offensive effectivly
Germany really couldn’t win that battle if they wanted. They heavily relied on allied supplies and a limited timeframe and non-staunch allies

@@LeroxYT I meant ‘non-staunch’ as in the Western Allies weren’t going to back down after losing a port. It would be a minor setback and in the scope of the war still result in a complete loss.

00:15 It was not the last german offensive in Europe. Only on the western front. Last major offensive in Europe was Operation Spring Awakening on the eastern front.

Don't worry those American troops never faced Kingtigers at Lanzerath. Just the Fallschirmjaeger. Peipers reconnaisance spearhead only ariived at Lanzerath an hour before midnight and after it was taken by the fallschirmjaeger.

Как рассказывал мой дед артиллерист : обычные призывники вермахта бросали технику и тикали если ее разули по гусеницам или заклинили башню. А на озере Балатон в Венгрии дед первый раз столкнулся с дивизиями Дас райх и Гитлер Югент . Так там экипаж в разутой пантере бились до последнего снаряда и патрона используя танк как дзот и пока их не размотали гаубицы ,не покинули машину и так на протяженнии всего сражения.

According to a recent Business Insider report, while the North Koreans have an industry purposefully geared towards warfare, the quality of their conventional arsenal apparently leaves much to be desired. Reports from Ukraine, where NK is delivering ammo to the Russians, state that the delivered artillery shells are substandard, often detonating inside the guns, damaging them and injuring personnel as well.
That makes me wonder what would likely happen if NK would send actual troops to Ukraine...

I often wonder what would have happened had Germany simply pulled all its troops out of Western Europe early on and deployed them against the USSR before the invasion of Normandy ever happened.
Would Western forces have bothered attacking Germany itself with Western Europe no longer occupied?
The idea that Western forces, once already committed to the fight on the ground in Western Europe, would have sought a truce while being attacked by Germany was always an absurd idea.
