I was there, visiting Bastogne and Foy End of Year in cold Winter. You find monuments everywhere.
The stories I’ve heard from my great grandfather who was a medic in the 99th infantry division this was a frozen hell on earth. He was a pow for just over 5 months and came home 100lbs less than he left. They didn’t know what they were getting into just going and doing as they were told. He saved many but lost many more.

This was a badass game. Went back to WW2 and they absolutely killed it. It felt like I was playing a movie. I really wish it would’ve lasted longer out there. The zombies gameplay was fun too. That’s what sucks these days, old shit isn’t appreciated because new shit comes every other day.

I am from the bulge (Ardenne). And the vegetation is sadly not realistic in Call : the main coniferous tree in Ardenne belongs to the Picea abies specie, not North American pine. And our forests are way more dense. ;)
I'm fairly sure the graphics artists asked for a trip to the Ardennes to photograph and sketch the local vegetation, but were told to just walk outside and photograph and sketch the local trees as no-one would know the difference.

Big studios will send graphic artists to actual locations to make their game look perfect. Studios that are cheap will use pre-made assets

we need realistic movement animation microanimation in future game.... there's thousand realistic graphic games because engine autofeature is easy to make good visual.... but realistic animation need talent not only using engine with auto generate
that's why i still love GTA 4 so much. it was hard to play because there was so much simulation going on, but it was a showcase of what the euphoria engine was already capable of at that time
It will get easier now. Ai is learning itself for robotics by "imagining" millions of times how humans move how hands works joints etc. Nvidia published a video showing how they totally succeeded in recreating the human hand. With Ai able to manipulate all joints at 99% what a human can. The 1% being the material science is just not there for some things.
Over all this info dump will be there for animators too. Everything Nvidia does in this space is usable they are cross-pollination of many different industries. So gaming will benefit in the animations bigtime.

American developers certainly have an obsession with re-writing their history to appear more racially inclusive than their nation actually was.
The scene in the command tent never happened and whilst I understand why they're doing it there is a danger people will accept this was reality when in actual truth the US was a very unequal place and no such interaction would have taken place.
I would like to see a game where you pick your division your in and your equipmet.

If they just stuck to history, they’d be able to make good games. Unfortunately, they drop the ball every time. Good luck finding a black face during the battle of the bulge lol and for the record air support wasn’t available because of the fog not because they were too busy.🙄
How do you know who was fighting at the battle of the bulge? I take it you were present and accounted for? Oh and yeah history is the only thing that don't lie or leave things out.

Roughly 2,500 African Americans fought alongside white soldiers to repel the Germans in a wintry, miserable sequence of weeks. In the aftermath of the battle, the integration effort was well received, and the African American soldiers were evaluated as having done "well."
What I don't like about the more recent COD WW2 games is that they have inaccurate weapons. Like in this video an American using a lee Enfield. Or there was another where Japanese were using German weapons.
