Pioneer SX-780: Making It Beautiful Inside and Out (Re-edit)

This video shows work done on a Pioneer SX-780 stereo receiver. I adjust the DC balance, or offset; calibrate the power meters; trace the source of a channel imbalance to the volume control potentiometer; clean the face plate and knobs; and replace the foam on the back of the face plate.

I've bought 6. !780's this year. All they needed was cleaned. Pioneer hpm100,big klh and AR7 .LOVE THE WAY THEY SOUND

The neoprene tape? From Amazon. Comes in different thicknesses. Generally sold as weather stripping.

I'm trying to find a glass or a glass maker for my vintage Pioneer SX 980 have any ideas 💡 I've looked all over eBay I looked all over the Farmers market on Facebook went to a few audio flea markets just can't seem to find it 🤔

Hi, what type or brand of hard-wax did you use to finally get this face plate of this sx-780 to shine?, I've got a sx-750 with the same kinda white stains after constant cleaning.

It was a beeswax candle, I think. If I were to do it again, I'd probably use Mother's polish.
