- Hello guys here with another video explaning how to fix, or properly wire radio cables on your new aftermarket units very easy to do but not very much info out there hope you enjoy the video and helps you all.
YOU A LIFE SAVER! I made the exact same mistake. Thank you for this!
Oh man.. thanks.. i had no install and was wondering about the extra cable. Thanks
I have the same problem and I know how to fix. Thanks for the video. I have a 2014 toyota corolla. I could not even get my favorite stations like Air1 and KLove.
Thank you.
Grazie di tutto mi hai risolto un grosso problema. Saluti dalla Svizzera
Thanks for the heads up on this, it worked!
Thanks mate I have the same issues
Yes no shit he not kidding trying to find the problem real hard no answer buy this and that but as the man saying just power up your blue to red and its great so happy to see that my 2016 TOYOTA COROLLA is great now so happy was going to buy and buster so just try to sell not fix
What's the name of this cable and where did you get it
It's just piece of wire to bring 12V to the antenna preamplifier.
Thank you so much man ❤
I did it with two units with no success, connection diagram on one of the unit says the same as you said in the video, to connect a wire (orange in my case) to ignition in order to power the antenna. But no luck, and I have no idea what is wrong. Both units are okay and all other features works just fine.
Where did you get it

thank you boss
What did you buy? A booster?
Hi, where did you go to buy that wire that you are taking about?
Metra store just google it
Thank you for the great video. How is your AM reception?
It's good
Having an antenna booster with the power disconnected is worse than not having one at all.
Your antena is the black cable with the gold adaptor on it.
Many times its caused by aftermarket LED headlights and LED turn/ brake bulbs aswell
my unit has sound but when I switch to FM I can't hear no static noise even without the antenna connected
What is the name of the cable?
I did that and still nothing ; im stumped
Do you lose signal when you drive in the city?
Nop
What about AM band .
this video does not tell how the antenna was a amplified antenna and needs 12v to operate. BOTTOM line these radios r great. BUT if want FM or AM these radios do not deliver NO matter what antenna is used even if you use a 10foot whip the reception will increase but as soon as you start moving signal loss to the point of road rage
Why you done my time waste
I wasted time reading your comment trying to translate what you were saying.
@@joshuawelborn7936 Still makes no sense even edited...
@@joshuawelborn7936silly boy😂
still bad reception
Your radio plug didnt have a wire for the antenna?
It did but you have to ground it
@@rossesteban7859 You didnt ground it, you gave it +12vdc .... What are you talking about?
12V for the antenna pre-amp
I saw in a comment you wrote you got it at metra store but i cant find it they are all multi cable harnesses. Im having the same issue with the radio i installed and its making me crazy since i only listen to radio. Can you send a link or something i would really apreatiate it.
Man don't you think it would have helped to tell us where you got the cable you reference . Without the cable or wire your guidance is worthless. Please let us know!!!!!
You can order it from amazon it's a universal cable
Just a fm car amplifier, simple $5 $10bucks, one end antenna in and the outer end back in the radio, and one wire for 12v for the amplification. Simple fix.
