Thank you God for always taking my dreams past my expectations!
I don’t usually rely on people who don’t have my hair texture to help me learn a style, but your explanation and techniques helped me so much. It took me about a million tries and 12 hours but um I did it. 🥺🥳
“Middle finger goes under, grab some extra hair. Middle finger goes under, grab some extra hair,” is theeeeee best instruction thus far for doing this hair style. Thanks. I think I’ve got it now.
The absolute best! that's when it really clicked for me
THIS COMMENT JUST SVAED MY LIFE!!! I DID IT!!!
My shoulders be on FIRE after about 20 seconds of holding my arms up lol.
😂😂
😭😭
😂😂😂 mines too
Your explanation of the hand positioning is what helped me do this on my own. Thank you so much!
I feel like i missed that part 😭
I literally watched 20 videos on how to braid but yours made the most sense ❤️
I have twice the curly hair so this was a good help to me. I don’t even know how to french braid let alone Dutch!!!

This is so helpful! I've never heard anyone say specifically to remember to grab more hair when you go under. Somehow that tip made it all make sense. I'm trying this tonight, wish me luck 🤞🏼☺️
Update: It worked! Thank you, girl 😩😭
Yay!!! I’m so glad it helped you out!! 💃🏾🥳
Love your explanation of how to braid. I went through 7 different videos and I was still very confused. Your video was the most helpful. Appreciate you. Thank you!!
Fantastic. I'm saving this and you have a new subscriber
Thank you and WELCOME! Merry Christmas!!
you make it look so easy:(
It is easy it just takes time and your fingers have to adapt I spent 4 hours in my bathroom- trust the process 🥲
This video helped so much! And I'm glad u said to do outside section under the middle section cuz every vid ive watched for this style never mentioned that. And that was the thing that I was doing wrong! So thank u so much and btw u did a great job with explaining❤😁

You're a great teacher! I will continue to watch over and over again!
The hand positioning and showing how u can use the free hand to grab more hair cleanly really helped. I had having issues with that!
I'm glad it helped you!
This explanation helped me do both braids. It’s not perfect but with practice i know i can make it smoother and tighter. Glad i found this video. 😊

Thank you so much for making it look simple . I have tried it following you step by step. Wow I can't believe it. Thanks a lot.
I love the detail you give in your video's. I have a 10 year old granddaughter that is mixed and I don't know how to do her hair and every step by step your showing me will help do her hair. I just subscribed to your page and will be watching all the time to learn as much as you'll teach me. Thank you for the tutorials!!!
Thanks for subscribing! I’m so glad my video has helped you! 💕
You are amazing!!!! 50000/5 stars!
I'm going to try this on my 4 year old when we have some time. I know practice makes perfect. I think she'd look adorable with this style. I'm sure it will take some trial and error. Thanks for breaking down all the steps.
I can’t wait to try this. Thanks for the great video 🙌🏽❤️
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching!! 😊
every video I have watched hasn't helped except for yours, thank you!!
I'm so glad it helped! Thanks for watching!
Every time I watch videos like these I think, yea okay seems easy enough, I can do this. And then my black hair laughs and I put it in a bun.
Wish you had this video when i was first transitioning last year in February. The position of the arms is what threw me off but once I go it it was simple. I learned how to do it last year in april and that was my transitioning protective style
Thank you!!!! I never really used my middle finger when braiding, but apparently I need to. Lol! Your explanation finally makes it make sense. ❤❤
You explain this so well.. thank you!
Love this!!!
So pretty!!!!
Really clear directions 🙌🏾
Thank you thank you thank YOU!! I have watched so many tutorials on Dutch braids and for ONCE someone explains how to move your fingers and doesn’t speed up the video while braiding!!!!
Thanks for sharing I need a NEW LOOK 👀. Will give it a try.
Loved your tutorial..Subscribed today!
Yay! So awesome, thanks for subbing!
This video helped me so much thanks ❤️❤️❤️
I am 67 years old, and my hair is almost to my waist. I wear Dutch braids daily. I live in Texas and it's too hot here for many styles other than a pony tail. I get so many requests to teach people to do it. I do mines exactly like yours, close to the ears.
Going to try this!
Yes! Do it! Let me know how it goes! 😊
It went well!!! It wasn’t as clean and smooth as yours, but I know I need to practice more.
I loveee your features! 😍 Has anyone ever told you that you look like Elle Varner?
I know how to French and Dutch braid but not on this hairtype. Ready to give it a try on my residents! Can't wait until my little ladies can go back to their hairstylists again!
Let me know how it worked out!
You make braiding look easy thanks
My gel at the moment is ECO green gel
thank you so much your video helped the best instead of jasmin and franchelli (idk how to spell) this was the best one, not bashing on them but it was easier for me to learn with your video thank you💓
I love them both!! I’m glad this video helped you! 😘
this was very helpful for me. i have very thick hair and this helped me so much!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m so glad!! 💕
Best tutorial ive seen for this yet, thank you 🙏🏽
I’m so happy it helped you!! 😊 you’re so welcome!
@@thebethmethod got it figured out :D
@@landonbreckenridge9409 Yay! WAY TO GO!!! 🙆🏾♀️
@@thebethmethod as for places i can improve.....
Are you twisting/rolling the individual groups of hair, as you braid? I’m trying to understand that technique.
@@landonbreckenridge9409 Hey Landon! The main thing you want to do is make sure you're pulling it tight! There's no need to twist or roll, you just want o make sure it's as tight as possible. Updated video on this coming soon!
i cant do this im so stressed out and i dont know what im doing wrong like it gets me so mad.
It takes practice to make these braids. But once I get it I’m gonna be a prow. This is a great video very helpful.
I’m so glad it helped you!! 😊✨ thanks for watching!
That was so cool! We have the exact hair. I only know how to make french braid not cornrow. Didn't know about the edge cream, either. Thank you. Will try this one day ,hopefully ,my arms won't get too tired 😂! Greetings from New York City🗽🇵🇷❤👍🏼

for many years I've been trying to find the right video to help me to do it myself and this was it.this was THAT video and I'm so grateful ❤I got motivated and did it now and I actually (for the first time in my life) did braids on MYSELF and it didn't look that bad.it was kinda sloppy but with some practice it'll look great thank you ❤❤😝

Your hair is 😍. How to take care of dry hair?
Thank you!!!! 💕 Deep condition with heat or steam!! Keep the ends moisturized and sealed!
I'm just going to convince myself that this is some devil magic, *BECAUSE I'M TOO STUPID TO LEARN THIS!!!*
No, don't give up! You can do it!
I am braid challenged. I definitely will keep practicing! Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
I APPRECIATE that you let you hair down...you did not begin with all beautiful, untangled, ready to go. THANKS
Had to say under middle the whole time, but I got a braid in lol
Omg thanks so much now l Knowles hos to do a duch braid
Yay! I’m so glad my video helped you!
My daughter is mixed and I want to get her hair more manageable like how you have your hair... any tips? Product reviews and recommendations?? Sincerely, Chu
My go to for my daughter when styling her curls is the Design Essentials Almond and Avocado Mousse, it’s easy and defines the curls well!
When styling, try using a moisturizer or leave in conditioner to add moisture and make the hair more manageable! My favorite one for my daughter is by SHO Products!
Nice
My fingers get lost in my hair I don’t know when I can drag my hands through as I’m braiding. I struggle a lot when starting it. My braid always lose not in the front side but the back side. Like I’m actually feeling like I can’t braid at all. My hand have no position at all.
Soo I think Im pretty good at braiding now, but my biggest problem is that my hair is SUPER curly and the braids always shrink 😂 anu advice (that doesn't invlove straightening)?
For the shrinking I braid it while it's wet and then when it starts getting more dry, I rebraid the bottom half to elongate it.
For the super curly, I have no idea what to do because my mom do the braids. I have really curly and thick hair and she hates messing with my hair but insist on braiding it. 😂
This is good advice! If you stretch your hair and braid it while dry, that will help! Maybe do large single braids or twists and let it air dry, and then take them down and do your dutch braids. Hope it works for you!

Thanks so much! Welcome to the fam!!! ☺️
So basically, you have to do the arms separate if you want it like going down *away* from your ear. But your elbows together, to make it *closer* on the side of your head if I'm correct ;)
Yes! That's right, you could technically do it either way,m but that's the easiest positioning for me!
Does you gel leave residue in your hair like little particles of gel because with my eco gel it always does that
That only happens to me if I mix it with another product that it doesn’t mix well with. Maybe try a different kind of eco if you’re still having the problem. Hope this helps! ✨
normally it’s not the gel it’s the products uu mix it with. try rubbing it on ur hand first and if it blends like lotion then it mixes, if not it doesn’t and will flake
Did anyone catch the products being used? A list would be helpful… Cute braids!
Hey girl! I’m listing for you! 😊 also adding the description box. Hope this helps!

Can you do this with a overhand braid?
Hi Shiloh, I get what you’re asking! (At first I misunderstood and responded with the wrong thing.lol) I think I can definitely make a video on that!
The problem I keep having is I don’t know how to make both sides equal and grabbing the same amount of hair each time
Just keep practicing! It take a bit of working at it but you’ll get the hang of it!
Where did u get the brush
A beauty store probably. Last time i went to one i think i saw one.
I sill still can't do it
Please someone tell me, is a Dutch braid and a cornrow the same type of braid. Confused.
Technically yes, lol. In my experience they are usually only referred to as Dutch braids when they are large. But I consider Dutch braids to be large cornrows.

Hm how do you make it not look frizzy?
Right cause I always have to pin my braids up to avoid friction around my braid tail
Single dad here, thank you!!
You’re so welcome! 💕
