- Apex Legends New Season 21 Changes & Heirlooms Are Already Broken as a number of fixes in season 21 are being addressed and the new legend alter along with the new heirloom and mythic shop with exotic shards is also broken. We also have new Legendary Skins entering the store today along with special store bundles and the recolors slated for release today.

$40 bucks for a weapon skin is insane. At least improve the quality of the game and fix major issues like servers and matchmaking before you start expecting people to spend 40 bucks on a pixel.

Honestly tho. I'd still rather grind season long challenges for another reactive recolored skin than buy one. It's at least more engaging that way.

All of these skins should be $10, literally all of them. They would also sell 100x more...like the exotic shot and $40 for the reactive recolors is slightly overpriced $25 would be more adequate.
I think doing missions for these skins would bring in/hold more players than locking them behind pay walls.

If they made them less grindy, cause when people are grindy for specific stuff it makes you a horrible player to play with. But if they did something where people could choose to grind for them or pay for them I think that would be much better.

@@ForBiddenFood1 If they took a page out of Helldivers book, this would be one of the biggest games in the world. Everything is unlocksble by the player, you do not have to spend a time on that game outside of original purchase. Yes some items come and go and become rarities but 90% of the items you can unlock by playing, collecting super coins, completing missions and finding samples.

As a person who has been gaming for 30 years, this legitimately hurts my soul to see. It is insane to see how games and companies used to be and how they are now. It used to be about just pushing the limits and making a great game. Now it's "how much money can we gouge the player base out of?"

Idk. It's a free game. They make maps and content and have employees. They need to make money from the players to keep the game going. Since none of us bought the game, they have to sell items on the store. They're super over priced, so I won't buy them. But if other people want to, why would that ruin my gaming experience ?
@@jordanalexander1592 there is no reason to charge $50 for a recolor of skin people got for $10 originally. There's no sensible reason to charge $200+ on A COSMESTIC ITEM in a game or to charge those same people $160+ AGAIN if they want a recolor of that item There is absolutely no sane reason that it costs more than a PS5 ($700) to unlock all the attachments on a cosmetic item. It is bullshit and wrong.
I get Respawn have to make money and Yada Yada but they hardly put the money back into the game. When the priority of making money comes before making sure Hackers, Cheaters, security breaches, broken updates and non working features are fixed, that's where I have a major issue.
How do they expect us to keep paying for these skins when all this nonsense is going on?
It's one thing to make money to keep a steady stream of revenue, it's another when they blatantly rip off their player base.

Umm it was in season 7 but isn’t anyone else annoyed that we got another reactive r99 last season ?
It could have been the alternator or something we don’t have why did they repeat a weapon and give us a re color the next season ?
I think they should have done what Overwatch did and don’t give a reactive skin instead give us 50 exotic coins at the end of the season pass and with that we can buy the current new reactive weapon (30-30) or spend it on a previous reactive weapon.

the katar is sick because you can pair them with any skin, especially considering I don't like my mains heirloom and you now have one for a character who doesn't even have one yet.
They made a tiktok about Heirlooms in general and said that legend based heirlooms are not gone but their main focus rn is to quote "improve" the kobalt katar...This means we should see the legend based heirlooms comeback sometime in the near future
The whole point of heirlooms is that they are personal. EA is just trying to milk apex for every last dime until it is dead.

Me personally, although i like legend exclusive heirlooms more due to them feeling more special, i think universal heirlooms are just better over all, the fact that you can get a katar with just heirloom shards instead of paying like $400 on an event is super big because that means now you can get one for free and have an heirloom for every legend instad of one locked behind a legend.
if apex just works on making the game more fun they will get more people, therefore more purchases. duh
Any suggestions ? Many people say things like brings more modes but fail to realize that more modes will divide the playerbase and increase que times. As it stands LTMs die off within the week, add another mode or 2 and you have the same game with dead modes as everyone gets fed up of que times and continue to play trios.
@@shalindelta7 just keep switching through LTMS until they find one that people like. Once that happens they put it into there own playlist. and also they wouldn't be split with longer queues if apex was good enough to be able to keep player retention

The fact I haven't gotten a second heirloom even after reaching level 1000 just goes to show its all about the money you spend. That first clip was suck a great example of this. But I feel like skins that cost $10 and a few hours of game time should not have a recolour that cost 4x as much. They could be done as a prestige thing. $10 for the skin and maybe deal 50,000 damage with that weapon to fully unlock it. Would've been a lot better experience in my opinion.

I’m level 876 and still don’t have my first one I have also bought 70 packs
@@Mademanmagic I and to pay 200 for my first one at level 800. I got mine with 14 packs left out of the 200 I bought.
Do you understand how the heirloom shards work? At 500 packs you will get a guaranteed one. You're probably only a few packs away lol
@@jordanalexander1592 With getting a pack every 10 levels, that still only 50 packs. But the 4 battle passes and rewards I've done sense then. Which is maybe 20 a season between both. That's barely 150 packs. 200 packs to be generous due to events. That's still about 300 packs away, which is another 3000 levels or $300
Ye it’s a shame bc back in the day when an event came out it was like, this is ur only opportunity to get these skins! Where as now it’s like, wait a couple weeks n u can get a better one like everyone else… idk miss those days of exclusivity
what you said at 3:15 is actually an amazing concept for EA. The f2p players are gonna abuse the feature to get coins and packs but this works for EA cause they werent gonna bring in money either way and for low spenders this will probably make the incentive to buy coins less appealing but its gonna make them feel more appreciated that there is a option where you maybe can get an extra 100 coins per week without spending and make them play for longer and therefor get more cash. For the big balling players that spend money on skins and collection events this will make them also feel appreciated and is gonna make them feel as tho the game is going in the right direction and therefor make their spendings more justifiable.
Imagine if they made it possible to let us use legend tokens to buy recolored reactives or heirloom. Or even trade legend tokens for exotic shards
i like the idea of a universal heirloom i just wish it waz more fleshed out, lore wise, and got properly introduced into Apex

Hopefully i can end up getting some exotic shards, i wanted to buy the flatline skin but i ended up buying my mother a new tire on mothers day, a bit upsetting but she really needed it
Only reason i am good with the exotic shop, is that i didnt start apex til season 10,11 or idk. So all the cool reactives i missed out on coming back as recolors allows me to get that item. Prices are a bit much, but im ok with the shop idea. Just continue to keep the shop updated with new recolors to old reactives.
EA needs to stop hoarding exotic shards. If I buy 4 items from an event and have 4 shards I should be able to keep them. I generally get 1-3 skins/items and should have about 15-20 shards easily by now to choose an heirloom yet still have 0.
Why did they stop doing the season challenges for the reactive skins? Do they not like player retention?

As crazy and kind of horrendous as a $40 weapon skin is, I've wanted the Revolutionary R-99 skin for so long and I know I can't get it so (Mystic Recoil?) is the next best thing and it looks amazing tbh

It makes sense why EA and Respawn are trying to profit off this game, it is their sole focus right now with it being one of their most popular games with the largest playbase across all platforms. Though i do agree the prices are ludicrous, this is the game we are gonna have to get used to...

I feel like 40 dollars for a reactive is completely reasonable, I mean regular legendary skins can run 20 dollars and prior to this the only way you could get a reactive skin is buying and grinding the battlepass. Also if the skins were only 10 bucks everyone would have them and they wouldn't be as cool.
