  • Replacing the stock (10+ lb) Tavor SAR trigger pack is fast and easy! Did you know that the new X95 trigger pack (4.5 to 6.5 lb) is a direct fit? Since new trigger packs are now readily available, there is no excuse for not upgrading!
Although you can get them brand new from IWI for $199, you can also get them used for half that price from people upgrading to Geissele, Tav-D, etc. That is a serious upgrade for only $100.

In all honesty the trigger stock isn’t as bad as people say it really smooth just a little heavy

can you add a link or tell me where you picked up the front accessory hand guard. I need that like yesterday. Ordered my X95 trigger last night. Thanks great information.

I put that on so long ago that I can't remember where I got it from. However, I can tell you that it's a "Midwest Industries KeyMod Handguard"

Look at Lucky Irishman Tactical. I got a hand guard from there and I like it

Hey I need some help. I just swapped out the packs but when I took out the original trigger pack the door came out with it and now I can't figure out how to put the door back in. Can you give some pointers on how to fix this issue?

Man, that's a tricky one because the only thing holding the door on after pulling out those 2 primary pins is a tiny spring. The task of how to get the door back on would depend entirely on what happened... Is the spring now inside the door or inside the rifle? Did the spring itself break? Did the plastic portion of the door where the spring goes through break? Did the spring just bend enough to come out with the door?

Thanks for the response. I'm not entirely sure there is a spring still attached to the door, but I don't see where it catches or sits inside the chassis.

Mark Ballou I highly recommend joining the "IWI Tavor Owners Group" on Facebook. If you provide some pics there, the guys in that group can definitely help out better. There's some serious experts in there. Here's a link: facebook.com/groups/TavorOwnersGroup/

If you do not rack the charging handle before changing the trigger pack, does it hurt anything?

The trigger pack doesn't want to come out easily if it's not charged. You could probably force it out but that may end up breaking something. So, short answer is if you can get the pack out (without breaking anything) while not charged, everything should be just fine but it's much easier the other way.

I see. This is my first tavor. I ordered a geiselle trigger pack, and did not realize I had to charge it before removing it. It was a little tight, but it came out fine. Afterward I was like crap i hope I didn’t damage anything.

What was your thoughts after the range? Is it a worthwhile purchase or not?

Best $100 I have spent on a single upgrade. It was well worth it.
