What is the biggest reason why it so interesting and funny to listen to you - you really love what you are doing and you really love people whom you give all this information. So you get the same emotions back. Perfect!
Thank you so much for your amazing videos. Everything is fantastic! I personally get a little bit distracted by the background music but I am a musician and it may be a very personal feeling. Taking my test in two weeks! Thank you!!
For real, you're a majestic teacher, all your info is magnificent, I'm proud to be subscribed to your channel, make count with our support!
Thanks so much for your support! đđ
Hi Mark, I just took my CLBTest today and very happy for the results, I pass! I did my review in your youtube channel. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge online, it helps me a lot in passing the test.
Hi Mark. Thank you so much for putting all these helpful CELPIP videos here. I took the CELPIP exam last Oct. 11 and used/watched all your videos as a reference/study materials. Thankfully, I was able to pass the exam. Thank you so much.
Wow! CONGRATULATIONS!!! đđ
Thank you so much for your awesome videos. I have got 11 in reading.
Your videos are helping me a lot in preparing CELPIP Test. Thank You!
You're welcome! đ€Thanks for the comment!
You're an amazing instructor. I just discovered your videos
Thank you so much! đ
Thanks. I never observed the cow so minutely.
Thanks for the vocabulary.
thanks to you mark,i learned today some words like cul-de-Sec,floats,combine,i need to study and take a Celpip exam again because my previous test exam result is failed i got a low score and hopefully next time i can get much better score.I always watched and subscribe to your videos thanks again
Thanks so much for your support! đ
I completely agree with the idea of this video, vocabulary is most important thing in foreign language. You might not know grammar so good, do not recognise and use tenses, and at the end of the day you will handle, but without vocabulary it is impossible. Vocabulary is a foundation of any language use.
I agree! đ
They are Inuit, an indigenous Canadian people building an igloo from blocs cut out of snow. An igloo is a semi sphere shaped house with long half round corridor at the entrance and a hole at the top to let the smoke rise. Nonetheless it is done out of snow, it provides a good insulation and it is warm in there.
Great answer! You know more about igloos than me! đ
You might wonder what they used to burn without wood. They used a tallow from animals.
Interesting!
Hi! a great lesson like always!
I think the people on the picture are building an igloo from ice stones.
Vocabulary:
deer, nightmare, armrest, abortion, moose, combine, canola, cul-de-sac, northern lights.
Take care!
Hi Mark I'm happy to see u back.
Great lesson and clear explanations
I guess they are building igloo ice stones
You're right! They're building an igloo with ice blocks.
Thank you đ
OMG!! I won't forget the word "float". Exactly my last question in the speaking part was describing a strange parade and I could not find the word to describe the vehicle. I said a car with some characters hahaha super bad, terrible! However, I got a better score on the last try. I have been watching your videos and they helped me a lot... I will review the vocabulary section. This will be my 3rd try and I hope the last one. My first try I got 6 in my speaking part, my second try I got 7, I need 9.. Thanks for your videos and your dedication!!!
Haha, that's funny! đDon't worry, you'll pass this time! đ
Thank you
Thanks so much for your CELPIP video post, they were really very helpful. Unfortunately, i have written CELPIP five times and i kept scoring low in Listening and Reading. My last score in about two weeks ago was S=9, W=8, L=6, R=6. However, i need a minimum of 7 in all the four modules. I am very sound in Speaking and Writing. I need a special Training / coaching in Listening and Reading, even if it is one-on-one i will pay for it. I have never been able to score more than 6 in L and R. Please rescue me out, this i holding my PR.
Great as always!!!
Thank you so much! đ
This is a gineapig I believe :D thanks for all of yo videos are very helpful for me, I have my celpip this next saturday!
Thank you Mark for your videos! I studied using them and got great scores đ

Thank you!

And I did know first time ânorthern lightsâ thank you!

Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaank you great Mark
You're welcome! đ
May you talk about a episode about CELPIP COLORïŒThanks
Very useful video for me.
đđ
I learned today the words: Cul-De-Sec, moose, floats, armrest, backrest.
The answer to the question is: they are building an igloo.
When I wan in 3rd class/3rd grade I saw a picture like this and I still remember it. I never forget something.
You're right! That's great!
The first word was a bummer for me. Just when I started to I think of myself as someone with decent command over daily-life English words, bam, I got hit by Cul-De-Sec! I dodged Lasagna, Parade, Floats etc., but got hit hard on this word. Thanks @Mad English for this video!
Haha, you're welcome! đ
they are building igloo? Iâm from Calgary also and planning to take the Celpip exam this April. thanks for all your helpful videos
You're right! đ
Its a very pleasant and understandable channel for learning English (or just to train yourself to pass CELPIP in a few attempts in a row). I am failing IELTS tests but doing ok with CELPIP and hopefully going to go to Canada soon just to pass it. Kind of money-wasting decision but I need all damn points for Express Entry CBL9 bonus.
Wondering, how do you manage to speak in the way that I understand every word. Clear and not difficult. Lucky.
Thanks for your comment! đI'm sure you'll pass the CELPIP soon! I'm going to publish a CELPIP Writing book this weekend. đ
itâs an igloo i suppose. and people living in artic and antarctic regions build this igloos and those people who live there are known as eskimos. i think hardly life exists in these places as they are 0 degree cold weather.
i remember this is what i learnt during my schooling in my childhood when i was in grade 3 or 4 in my social studies and geography classes.
i initially thought it was a galore penguins, only after you said , i came to know they were people . picture is not clear for me viewing from mobile . and i take it a pride that most of the words and vocabulary u said is a little familiar to me is because of my dad who keeps teaching me all this in basic life and he always instructs me to read a lot of news and news papers. he is voracious reader and whatever new word he come across he will let me know and when we just go out like say for example, to a clothing shop he asked me a question do u know those dolls name in the display of this clothing showroom , do u know how do they name it . i said i donât know after which he answered itâs a manaquen. when u teach english i remember my father whoz living in India now and am 1000s and 1000s of kilometers away from him. reminding me of my childhood days... thank u mark . your classes are also making not only informative and productive also making me feel emotional. thank u đđ»
Thanks......
You're welcome! đ
Hi Mark
I watched your videos.. all are amazing.đ
Just wanted to ask one thing.. when will you make videos on IELTS tips and tricks?
Hi Katty! I'll make those lessons soon! đ
Actually i'm having my IELTS exam on 3rd March 2018 & i'm really very nervous as the reading section is very difficult for me.
And i watched your CELPIP lessons.. those are very interesting..đ& i'm sure that your IELTS videos will make this exam much more easier for everyone! âș
Thanks! I hope you do great on your test! đđ
Thank you!âș
I'm thinking of a car park haha besides neighborhood đđ now I know it's cul de sec, so I need to know more of canadian words, I will take CELPIP-G in Manila Philippines sooner đ hope I can get a CLB 9 or higher đ, so I need to prepare a lot and focus
Haha, that's great! đ
đđđđ
I love the place Calgary markđšđŠđšđŠđšđŠ That pictures they are building an igloo.
Hello teacher, tks. Are there some video that explain to us about how the test is?
Hi! :) Have you seen the practice test on the CELPIP website? The real test looks exactly the same as that. (Just different questions.) I made a video about it here. czcams.com/video/RXukxYOfnhY/video.html
Mad English TV I have not seen yet, but I will see it. Tks again
Homework: they seems to be eskimos building an igloo
Hi,I like animals very much but don't like to take care of them nside my house too
Hey Mark! Those guys are building an igloo. Thanks for a very informative lesson! Have a nice day and take care!
P.S. By the way, how do you pronounce CELPIP?
Hi! đđI think it's pronounced SELPIP.
@@MadEnglishTV Thanks!
A question, If we do not know about the food....Is it fine to say it was stale and not fresh????
Yes, I think so! đ
Thank you for your awesome lectures!! It is really helpful!!
I got 7 at the 3 sections(R,S,W) and 8 at one section(L) at my first CELPIP test without studying. However I need 8~9. Is it hard to get those grades with studying by myself? :(
You're welcome! đThanks for your support!
Wow, you're very close to your goal! I think if you do a little bit of studying and practicing, you'll get those scores. I'm going to publish a CELPIP speaking practice book soon! Maybe in a month.
Ah that is great! That is what I need actually :)
Is there any good way to study synonym??
Have you ever used a thesaurus? Try typing a word on www.thesaurus.com
Thank you!! The website is so useful!!đ
You're welcome!
floats means decorated trucks
As I see that, there are Canadian Aleuts in the picture: a wife, a husband and thier children. They are building a house - Igloo from the ice stones. Is it? đđ
You're right! đThey're building an igloo.
* ice blocks
Thank you for *blocks
Maybe sometime you'll tell us about "the northern lights.... amazing picture....
Moose has got other name - an elk. And there is a city in Canada called Moose Jaw :)
You're right! I've been to Moose Jaw several times. đIn Canada, an elk is actually a different animal than a moose. k99.com/moose-or-elk-how-to-tell-the-difference/
Great. Thanks, that is going to be an expensive mistake. I shall rememeber this when hunting an elk :) (joke - I am not a hunter :)
Haha, well, if you decide to become a hunter, we have lots of elk here in Canada!
The immediate response in my head was Elk - when he asked what animal was that. Glad that I now know the correct word- Moose. Thanks @Mad English for this wonderful video!
Hmmm, kind a strange to show an American parade picture if you are talking about Canada Day....
It's a guinea pig, not hamster
I just know if floats is part of parade. If that is igloo l just wondering, how they keep warm inside??Isn't made by ice?Sorry if l ask stupid question.
Good morning,Sir.Wish you have bright sunlight now.
Good morning! I missed reading your comments. Are you busy these days?
I'm not sure how they stay warm! I think they have warm clothes. The igloo is made from frozen snow blocks.
Yes,Sir.Here we are celebrating Chinese New Year.Very busy and crowd days but now is over so l got my day again.
That's great! Happy New Year! đđ€
Happy new year too.đđđ
Excuse me Sir,is that canola flowers which can be processing into canola oil?
Yes, Canola oil is made from those plants. Do you like canola oil? I hate it. đ
haha Mark, this is a guinea pig actually, not a hamster
My friend's name is Moose.
â€â€đđđđ
They are building an igloo which is made out of ice.
Right!
This is why I find the exam question fundamentally wrong! If the candidates were to be tested on their knowledge of the Canadian culture, it will fair, if you are testing a candidate on English proficiency it shouldn't be based on the candidate's knowledge of the culture, that could be a different exam . Unfortunately, candidate get scored low not because of their lack in of proficiency but lack of knowledge of Canadian culture.
I think they are building a Igloo.
This is an English Test. Why are they testing our General Knowledge on Canada?? This isnt a GK test!! Such a test should be fair to all!!
I guess they are building an ice igloo, aren't they?
But, I love to build ice castles...
You're right! They're building an igloo.
I've never built an ice castle. I like building sand castles. đ
Ha ha...you are a crazy Canadian...đ€đ
đ
They are building Igloo
Great! đđ
Just a kind correction, that's a guinea pig...
In this picture Eskimos are building igloo.
đđ
Oh,you live in Calgary đđđđšđŠđšđŠđšđŠ
Yes! đđ
Is that an igloo? The pic is a little bit unfocused.
Yes, it's an igloo. You're right, it's a bad pic.
Thank you a lot for the lesson. Your youtube channel is sublime.
Thanks so much!
This family is building Igloo
M I right yeah?
You're right!
Pretty sure that's a guinea pig at the beginning...lol. :)
