there being a dark riku piece gives me hope that theyll eventually release other kh original villain pieces as the game goes on, id love to have xemnas and young xehanort pieces
About the Shiny pieces, I saw someone pull several copies of Sora, Riku and Kairi and later they became shiny, after obtaining several Piece Bonus on them, I see it as similar system to Guilt or Special Attack Bonus on KHUX where this would Improve the Medal’s/Piece Special Attack/Ability
14:53 Seeing the Stone spells in KH now is interesting, even more so since it rarely shows up in FF. Maybe that'll be one of Sora's new spells in KH4 too?
Only Terra and Riku had Stone abilities with moves like quake or meteor, which can be the way Sora learns the spell
@@RebornAlbelleSora had Quake in (Re:)CoM. Granted, it didn’t really showcase the Stone element at all.
On one hand Protect (buff) and Shell are in this game so Stone may just be part of the spell variety Square is familiar with, on the other hand I never expect Water to be part of Sora's kit, but there he is in KH3. If the Foretellers make an appearance I could see him gaining Stonega from a fight with Aced.

Seems like they're going to bring back the Light and Dark mechanic that KHUX had on the various medals and keyblade slots. Pay attention to the bases the characters' statues stand on, and you'll notice the pattern pretty quickly.
I do hope that combined with the player's combat stance comes to mean something this time around. After all, other characters using darkness in combat was considered something of a big deal.

This was so thorough!! I loved it!!! There's definitely a collectable aspect about it that I love. I can totally see the pieces (the more rare that they get) becoming more elaborate and awesome looking!! The medals, near the middle and end of khux's life span, became *SO* intricate!! I can't wait to collect my favorite KH characters again!!
looking at all the player customisation, even though it's not a whole lot, it still makes me excited to customise my own keyblade wielder.
So excited to finally have stone. Hoping it becomes part of the main series after this game.
It bothers me that there is like Cura 1, curaga 1, and so on. Cause isnt -ra and -ga already the 2 and 3? lol
Two things. First the stone spells being included here gives me hope that final fantasy will be making a good comeback. Two the fact we got the elemental dash abilities from re:coded is awesome
Did coded happen before or after BBS? I remember that one at least had fire dash.

I think that all this information is very interesting.
So we can expect 6 star like UX? Will we be able to create or meld these? Maybe we can replace passive abilities like traits in UX
Radiant Blast 1 dealing "physical" damage is the biggest BS ever! what the hell?! that is definitely a Magic attack!
It is odd to think that, of all these abilities, if one were to roleplay Sora with his KH3 kit, they would primarily have the default elemental spells and cure to fill their slots. I don't normally think of Sora as a spellcaster, but thinking about this is going a ways to change my mind. Sora needs his super mode to access his physical skills, and only to use one of once, but his spells are much more accessible.

I honestly hope we get more support spells in KH again. It could add another layer of strategy to the game we haven't really seen since KH1. Seeing protect, shell, & regen in here was really cool. It'd also give devs added opportunity to really crank up the difficulty for critical mode, but either way ill be happy with whatever they cook up for KH4. New reaction commands in 4 are going to go crazy; id also imagine since theyre making a full return, KH4s combat pacing will be a mix between 2 & 3.
I really hope that there will be final fantasy pieces and other original characters and not just disney

All the elemental dashes make me hope we get more elemental physical attacks
why there is so much disney characters from kingdom hearts 1, 2 and birth by sleep remodeled. is gonna be some remake? or they worlds gonna appear in nexts kingdom hearts?
This system isn’t actually all that bad, it just means whenever I wanna use Ars Arcanum I have to look at a big ol RIKU on my screen lol
I hope they do events that require 1-star 2-star 3-star teams only or a preset mix, otherwise 95% of characters are just waste.
I expect maybe some sort of leveling of skills or characters via dismantling these lower tier cards but would be cool to see more use out of them
Facts they need a system to level up medals and not make them useless instead on sneaking in the gacha scheme

No real clue for me. Usually when you see that, it means charm or charisma. Personally, I hope it represents the charge mechanic when your charging up a heavy attack.

Yeah this is a big skip for me, especially if the game starts locking content behind Kairi summons, KHUx was fun until they made some medals mandatory to put even a dent on enemies
It appears there are no Final Fantasy character pieces. They are really taking out FF from the entire franchise huh? I understand KH wanting to separate from FF but i think they are already largely distinguished from each other. FF cameos are part of the charm!
My guess is that Disney has Square's balls in a vice. Wouldn't put it past them to insist that their characters be center stage and that ff characters are just annoying distractions at this point. Which would just further prove how out of touch disney has become.
