Killing should never be a choice no matter how unfair you feel by your parent or by your life. I hope I don't see comments negative against gay community. Every community has people making bad choices one way or another, so blaming an entire community would be a foolish thing to do. Also his attempt to burn, is clearly an act of not getting caught which many criminals do as at that moment all their brain could think is I will not go to jail. The people who helped him on other hand I don't even know what went on their minds. Hope this guy gets a fair sentence, enough for him to question himself the choices he made, and I hope he gets reformed correctly and feel immense guilty not just for killing but more for his after actions of crime.
