RIP John Peel, a true icon
I like Damon Alban. I have never heard of Idle Race. Jeff Lynne was in the group the Move in the sixties. And then ELO.
I have the single “Skeleton on the Roundabout” by the Idle Race. It got a lot of airtime on the Pirates, that greatest time ever for music because they played everything without prejudice. John’s show “The Perfumed Garden” was on too late for me but I bet he put a lot of the DJs onto bands they never heard before.
YOOO HE GRABBED JOY OF A TOY
He should do asmr
I would do ANYTHING to look through his vinyl collection. My collection of about 15,000 would I bet seem tiny in comparison!
“Bark” lol
Hard to imagine Peel listening to Reich!
What's the Steve Reich track that plays?
💯
Peel life
Who else thought it said Peter Andre
John Peel was well known for his love of Andre’s pop career
So there's a lot of come on it?
Blur's lead singer has never heard Idle Race? Wtf?
I was holding out for 'Nothing Takes The Place Of You' by Mike Spenser & The Cannibals.
