- Velma was bad. I like to believe that this was all just a cosplay situation where the real scooby gang will show up and unmask the fake Velma that was the true mystery.
Here's my review
Glen Howerton had a great performance with what he had to work with
Constance Wu had great delivery for jokes (if only the jokes were funny) and hope to see her in more animated roles
Mindy needs to learn how to write better characters

Thank god, I was hoping Fake Velma would catch on. I've only seen a few people say this, but I really liked the idea that Mindy's Velma was just an imposter using Velma's image because she has no identity herself. because that's all this show really is. the team didn't create their own original show because they knew no one would watch it, so they just used the Scooby-Doo IP to get it attention, and it worked.
So, that's what I'm going to call Mindy's version. Fake Velma. her theme song is Be Your Own You from Gumball. Lol

As someone who has no idea why the internet is so mad, can someone explain why im seeing so many videos of white Velmas lynching the black Velma during Black History Month?
Mindy didn't investigate or solve anything. Clues kept just appearing right when she needed them as the plot demanded.
She also got two different people falsely accused and arrested. 1/3 ain't a good track record, and she didn't even really stop the killer, Norville did.

After Mindy makes the "Rich white girls with small t*ts" remark, kid Velma walks up to her (Extra points if she does that cute little shuffling walk she did on the show), tells her "Jinkies, you're mean," and kicks her hard in the shins.
Mindy shouts "OW! Why you little $&$&& *%*($ white @(#&$%!," and lunges towards kid Velma to try and strangle her, but the other Velmas intervene, telling her "Leave her alone, you bully!" "Pick on someone your own size!" "Yeah, and don't be so ridiculously obsessed with race!" Then, they all beat Mindy to a pulp.

Kjben107 Ben 10 Omniverse is one of the best shows ever made. The Scooby equivalent is Shaggy and Scooby Doo Get A Clue because of the solo adventures and superpowers (my least favorite part of omniverse but hardly noticeable) and Mystery Incorporated (the animated one not the live action pilot) because of the art style being from the same guy.

The creator of the new Velma justified the race swaps by saying that their identity was never tied to their race. But then immediately after the swap, they made their new race a huge part of their identity. At least Velma and Fred
They made Shaggy African American without considering the fact that Shaggy exemplifies White Privilege regarding Drug Use. The world treated Black and White people very differently in 1960s American, and the show pretends like none of that happened.

Unfortunately, Mindy proved to be one tough weed to eradicate and the Velmas were forced to get help from a character who was hated and locked up for being annoying AF: Scrappy Cornelius Doo. Scrappy decided to take that shot at redemption and Mindy's fate was sealed.

The cherry on top is Mindy Velma trying to declare the other Velmas guilty like she did Fred in her series, caring more about shifting blame onto people she doesn't like than actually solving mysteries.
I had zero problem with Gina Rodriguez as Velma. I'm pretty sure most people had no problem with her too.

All of those velmas can solve a mystery in one episode, but this one takes 10 episodes to solve one single mystery...
Except even then, it was really everyone else collecting clues while she's going around deliberately getting under everyone's skin for the sake of satisfying her ego. At least one person (Fred) was falsely arrested because of Velma's involvement and for little other reasoning other than "he's a rich white kid with a tiny penis." The true criminal doesn't even face proper justice, instead being crushed to death. Combined with how worse-off ALL of the characters are at the end of that season, and the Mindy-Velma is, in every possible scenario, a failure.

I only watched to pilot episode out of curiousity and that was enough. This video made me realize they literally made Velma personification of Twitter.
I'm glad none of the OG cast didn't want to be involved in Velma . The fact this got a season 2 . And Warner bros refuse to make a Batman Beyond movie. Well we was going to get a live action. But they wanted the flash to make big bucks . And they did also turn the an animated movie. Which it was going to look like the Spider verse

IF this was the alternate ending to the actual show I would have loved it so much everyone on the planet would have loved it.
