NIKON P1000 - INSANE ZOOM! - River Clyde - Scotland - 4K

Some seaside footage using the Nikon P1000. Filmed from the shoreside at Kilcreggan looking out towards Greenock and a few other places. Didn't expect to be able to read the clock from nearly 6 miles away.

Sensor size and extreme zoom makes it a real fit in for wildlife image capture. Heat haze and atmospheric pollution will hinder things, no doubt.

Nice shots, you must have a really steady tripod for disatance shots, received my P900 from Eglobal, took exactly a week from click to delivery

Thinking of buying, but unfortunately 4K video there is no stabilization. Should I exchange the purchase of the P1000 for a Mavic Zoom drone that compared to the P1000 has an infinitely smaller zoom but the drone goes to the goal, lol ... The tip I give does not save photos via dji app, loses quality, remove the card and save directly to the PC. This happened to me with the P900 !!! ✌🇧🇷

Hahaha! Yeah, sure. Zoom in on a ship disappearing bottom first on the ocean and it proves the exact opposite.

@@EVRose60 Depends on at what distance. According to "science" (illuminati science), from a height of 5'9" above the water, the horizon of the earth's curvature would be at 3.9 miles away and you would not be able to see past that. The drop rate is calculable (if you have half a brain).... and the camera can be used to test to see if its true or not.

Try and get a buoy or lighthouse at say 5 Miles at one foot observation 10would be amazing at 66.6 feet of obstruction on the drop value)and see if the is earth curve obstruction at the Base is visible
if 8 inches per Mile distance multipied by the square root of the observers height in feet is the parabola
