I’ve slept in those mountains miles from towns and motels and people. Woukd usually spend a week on the mountain riding 4 wheelers and just hanging out. Have never seen or heard anything out of the ordinary uo there. But it is a spooky place
I live in the Hocking Hills. We have rental cabins like this all over the place here. They're in a hot tub. All rental cabins have one and we always use them at night. Usually with a drink in your hand. Just sounds like cicadas and crickets to me. Pretty common sound in the deep woods. There really isn't much to be afraid of out there.
I love listening and watching this kind of stuff…but the sound is so weird and loud I *DONT* hear voices. In fact all I hear is a loud pitch sound instead. I don’t find this scary, and who swims in the dark like that? Especially in a place you don’t know well? This isn’t scary…even in the dark watching it, sounds just like crickets or something 🤷🏻♂️
I can relate to this few years ago when me and my cousins were making a box fort at about 9:00 PM and we heard scratching along with a deep growl we ran so fast inside I tripped and fractured my leg

Live on a mountain connected to the blue ridge parkway and had some friends over so I decided to play a slight joke by bringing out a rifle as soon as it got dark and set it on the porch when asked about it I said “oh they’ll stay in the trees when they see a rifle is nearby” no one went outside alone after that😂

A high pitched noise like that coming out of the dark woods. And if you listen closely you might be able to hear the locomotives rumble, but that might also be the hot tub motor so idk but that’s definitely a train.
