I'm not a fan of either team here but if people don't think that horrendous call didn't change the out come of the game they are delusional. When the announcer read the rule on TV it was clearly Goalie Interference and how the NHL gets it wrong after they review it makes one wonder about the competancy of the NHL.
Good goal
Maybe the refs didnt overturn it because they felt that Bennett's contact was minimal and Coyle was diving to get the call??? Just a thought...Also maybe the fact that Swayman was already down and out of position factored into it as well. Also, Coyle was blocking Swayman's path BEFORE the minuscule contact. I am sure the refs took that into consideration, as well as the fact that it looked like he dove a bit
@@esotericveritas
Maybe an unpopular opinion….. but I’d say this sums it up pretty accurately.
@@esotericveritas So all ifs! The fact is, a player got cross checked, that’s a fact, he interfered with his goalie because of the cross check, fact. The are rules in the rule book that point both of those facts, and the goal was allowed. I still have not heard a good explanation why the league allowed the goal when two rules in the rule book were broken. Let’s face it, a blown call by the league. The game will not change now, but as someone pointed out, let the players decide a game, and not the refs. Florida is a better team, but let the players prove that. Shame on the league and the officials for blowing a good game. Argue all you want, 95 percent of people watching saw it as a blown call, the Florida fans did not. End of story.
@@mnshws12 NHL officiating has been an utter horror show all playoffs, many teams affected but the Bruins seem to be on the wrong end of the calls always. They've had to kill 2 or 3 penalties to every one power play they get, it's not a coincidence ...
That was one of the worst calls after review I’ve ever seen. I hate complaining about officials because obviously Florida is a better team, but that was brutal.
Bettman got what he wanted. The question is, WHY?
When you can't even officiate correctly with replays, then you have to start raising your brow at Toronto. Clear bias from Toronto. I think the game is too fast in general to call merely on the ice, but when you get it wrong on replays. LOL. How does somebody still have a job that blunders a call that big. Saying this as a Rangers fan.
Goalie interference challenges succeed less than half the time vs 90% success for offside challenges. Shows that one rule remains a mystery to NHL coaches … and this fan.
@@bl9531 Offside in most cases is probably easy to call, but I guess for some it's hard to know what goalie interference is, which is kind of laughable to me, because I remember in the latter 90's when you couldn't have a toe in the crease or it was no goal.
@@user-md8mr6ll6z yep, it seems to be hard for NHL coaches.to understand the rule… not sure what is funny about that but whatever
@@bl9531 Do you think it wasn't goalie interference? I mean maybe we need a new rule. Indirect goalie interference. Where you use a player to prevent the goalie from making a save. Maybe he doesn't make that save anyway, but we wouldn't know with the defenseman bumping into him and blocking him.
@@user-md8mr6ll6z seems to me that was goalie interference but who knows …. I have no idea what goalie interference is 😂😂
I think a lot of us lot faith in the NHL with that replay decision.
100%
Stop crying the refs got it right this is not women hockey, Bennett barely touch that Bruins player, it's the freaking playoff, nhl turning into a pu**y league with pu**y fans, pu**y coaches bitching and complaining like somebody's mother.
Why? You cant reverse a call that was never made. Tell your defensemen not to have his back to the play.
Yes after 52 years of watching NHL I have checked out ! Will not buy any merch either !
This is more than just them missing it, it was challeneged, looked over TWICE and was told it was clean. Ok.
It wasn't just the goalie interference, but also the weak call on Lindholm for a shove.
You cant make a call when the goalie already had ZERO chance to make the play. Next time tell your defensemen to not have his back to the offender.
@@WhowereEpsteinsclients Of course he has zero chance on the play when a 6'3 220 Coyle is laying on him...not to mention the cross check taking Coyle out of the play
Not sure you want a coach that isn't preparing until the next day when down 3-1. He should be working through the night to come up with a different gameplan
Leafs' coach Sheldon Keefe would have had his team prepared promptly.....yet Toronto fired Keefe. If Keefe coached Boston this series would be tied 2-2
@@ginakay2529um no, this is not a coaching problem when team is getting out shot in 4 games 150ish - 70ish with only 2 shots in 3rd period. This is all on the players.
referee's in the nhl are a total failure and show bias's.... makes you wounder about what they r doing to be so bad
It's over boston they need better players to compete vs panthers period that's it
They lost because that call was garbage and of course you’re gonna lose steam after that, could’ve gone both ways but they were all over the panthers until then
@@fvlsvmsound3977 yeah they deserve to win that game, Florida will win the series anyway and would've still won anyway most likely in 6 or 7 games but that call and the fact they called a few more soft penalties after that, I mean the bruins were shorthanded the whole third period, hard to do much offensively when that happens.... referees decided that game, that should never happen.
BOO HOO. The bruins, as well as most boston teams, get away with so much. It was a tough call. Get over it.
It’s good officiating when the call in your favour, bad officiating when it’s not
Well, then what's the point of replay?
I wish they would take replays out of this equation. The human factors involved are part of the game. Im sure you’ve heard of human error before.Maybe the question is why are there refs.
There’s way more to losing that game than that non call… Like being out shot over 2-1 bottom line panthers have been the better team!
I must say, that one perplexed me. I didn't notice it in live play, but on the replay ...... how was that NOT goaltender interference? I guess I don't know the rules as well as I thought I did.
Too bad the league fines coaches for criticizing the officials or the league because they should be able to tell the truth. Horrible officiating and if you are going to have replay reviews you should be able to get it right
If coaches said what they really think…
Its clear frustration, and i get it, its compounded by a lot of things, but i will say it was a puzzling call, same as the last game that went opposite imo.....
"Toronto ruled that it was a good goal".
Bitter Leafs fan wanting to maim the Bruins?
Yep, pretty much
@@rychier6994 Toronto still blaming fired coach Sheldon Keefe for everything !!! All Keefe's fault. 🤨
Toronto getting back on Boston
or somebody is betting
Toronto has nothing to do with the situation room. It’s just in the city of Toronto. Go figure though that Boston fans would think that the leafs actually play a part in the calls. lol such ignorance
As much as the goal was allowed a good goal, the bruins didn’t respond well enough to win this game. Too many unnecessary penalties and because they wanted to get back at Bennett for the hit on Marchand in game 3 they let there emotions get the better of them. And when they get a power play they don’t shoot the puck. Referees didn’t screw the bruins the bruins screwed themselves.
with the exception of game one when Florida hadn't played for a week. They've dominated most of the periods giving Boston signal digit shots on goal. And physically pushing them around. Something Boston is not used to. Florida is the high bar of the east . Expect to see them in the finals again
What are you looking for? A cross checking penalty or a goalie interference call?
With the goaltender never being touched by Bennett and the shove / crosscheck on Coyle being quite soft, it's easy to split hairs and have controversy on this play, this call can go either way depending on what side of the fence your on, have fun all discussing this lol
As the Rangers fan it was clear a goalie interference
When you get completely outplayed in a series... blame the refs... Don't blame the zero shots on goal after you fall behind 'early' in the third period...
Swayman ain’t that good save percentage is garbage in the 2nd round….
Stats mean nothing here your goalie is either winning or in Swaymans case losing
don't worry Tuesday it will all be over!! he should go have a drink,,,lol
How'd that work out for you
2 shots in the third period? Guess what, you lose.
The Bruins Should wear SKIRTS when the "play" ....It would be More Fitting !!!!
Bro is complaining about the refs and dwelling on a loss where his team were outworked at every moment. 18 shots will never win you a game against an elite florida team. Quit whining about calls and fix the things about your team that put you in that situation.
Dude he's being asked questions about it.
He complained?
Don't be naive. If jim has questions, he would go to the league privately. Saying that to the media is complaining
100%
Crying shame (and I'm Stars fan)
Tighten up buttercup. If you know anything about hockey you would know why it was called they way it was. Defensemen should never have their backs to an offending player. Plain and Simple.
@@WhowereEpsteinsclients :D
Lets talk about the elephant in.the room?
And what would that be?
@@johncalvo1743I think he means the shot differential in the game
Florida playoff ready .bruins not.that simple
18 shots on net didn't do them any favors either....this team used to be capable of getting 18 shots in a period.
Lose this series against the Cats and Montgomery will be fired.
He’s defeated. Fire his ass
Jim Montgomery shows a lot of class here, I would've been bashing the referees and the NHL to no end here....Bruins have been severely hampered by officiating, Florida is the more talented team, but they're also getting all the calls. I mean how many dirty Sam Bennett plays are allowed to go uncalled, guy is a total scumbag....
Agreed. Montgomery was fuming, took the high road
So let me get this straight. Sam Bennett comes into Boston and takes out your captain by checking him (and punching him in the face), cross checks a defender into your goalie, scores the goal and he's not bruised? This is not a Boston Bruins team. In fact the Panther's are playing like the Bruins used to. It's gut check time in bean town.
This guy gets it. No one is gonna sympathize with the Bruins fans because the way Florida has been playing has been the Boston M.O. for a decade. This is just a little hair of the dog for them.
@@CC-pj7iy True, but the league did screw them pretty hard tonight. If they didn't want to over rule the goal they could have at least called the penalty on the cross check.
Nice guy and all, might be time to split with Montgomery not working out, also every player that didn't produce in Playoffs for Boston time to go. Boston needs to end this choking in Playoffs..
Charlie Macavoy has been truly pathetic, Zacha also.....Macavoy is supposed to be a top 5 defensemen...he's been arguably the Bruins worst player all playoff, unacceptable
bye bye baby
If the Bruins played as hard as they cry about officiating, they might actually win a game.😂
You can't have wingers on your roster that are 35 and 36 years old and wonder why you're not getting SOG. The Bruins have 10 players on their roster that are 30 and over. Teams are skating circles around them. What is this coach thinking?
He didn't build the roster.
@@Leroy-df3ee ?
Boston meet Karma. Bahahahaha
I'm used to hearing Mr. Mongomery whine. This was a VERY good interview and I have to say, "He was very professional." Well done Sir.
Montgomery doesn't whine half as bad as most NHL coaches, see Rod Brindamour, lol
I hate Montgomery.
Montgomery reminds me of Lex Luthor in those Superman comics !!! 😀
Coyle was facing the wrong way. Was he going to clear it with his azz? 😅
Resign..mlike the way they responded he says....you haven't gotten them to respond yet
..it's a dam joke...bench everyone and start the Providence team bahaaas
Refs in the NHL suck!!
Enough wining... the Bruins lost because they got out played... again.
NHL has a hard-on for the Boston Bruins
Disgusting officiating. This is the best they can find for officiating? ‘What an embarrassment to the league.
Our friend Jocko applied for a job in the NHL as a ref. Jocko suffers from double vision and got cataracts. Guess what? He got hired last week !!! 😄
3 penalties right there. Take your pick between crosschecking, interface, or goaltender interference. Sad people watch sports when sports don’t even actually exist since none of them actually follow the rules of the sport
The officiating has been horrid for years and you only notice now?
Boston média is looking for excuses. The Bruins were out shot and out played! Simple as that. It's a SEVEN GAME SERIES; Time to put on your big boy parts! IT AIN'T OVER YET, STOP MAKING EXCUSES AND PLAY THE GAME.
You're going to complain about something when you lose. So Wah, Wah.
Oh look, an old man with mind of a child. Way to go. Your mother must be so proud.
Nice sunglasses ya clown
Lmao, when even the coach is in the victimhood mentality…you’re team is donzo
Ahahaha... sore losers.
The game was literally foiled by the refs in Florida's favor ?
@@brandonnitro4029yea and then they had 2 shots on net in 3rd period lol.. looooosers haha

Hey Bruins fans, call 1-800-WWWAHHHHH. Operators are standing by to laugh at you. Wonder if lil' Bradley's hangnail will heal before game 5.
If you think about it, no wonder the 'league' ruled against Boston. They're in Toronto. We just ripped the hearts out of that city - game 7 OT. No way we're going to get a fair call.
Boston sucks.
Toronto Getting back at the Bruins. Love it! They dont deserve to be there anyways. The wrong team made it to the 2nd round.
Sounds like a typical sore loser Maple Laffs fan.
Yes they do, they were way better than the Leafs.

@@notoriouseagle1074 Way Better? Game 7 could have gone either way. Puck Luck went to the Bruins and Leafs coach Sheldon Keefe paid the price.
Bettman has already decided that Florida is going to the Finals. Just like St. Louis in ‘19.
Lol.
I totally agree andthe NY Rangers better be on notice...
Riddle me this, Batman: If Bettman “allowed” the Blues to win in 2019, why was San Jose allowed to win in OT on a hand pass against St. Louis in the Western Conference Finals?
@@OldRustySteele it’s year by year who the better story is. why did the refs swallow their whistles in game 5 and 6 when St. Louis was gooning it up and getting crushed by bostons power play?
@@Georgedunkin7473 Yeah, that lack of tripping call in Game 5 was bad, I’ll grant you that. But the Blues hitting in Game 6 wasn’t even close to what Florida has done to the B’s this year.
That said, Pietrangelo is a pretty dirty player from time to time.
