I'm not a fan of either team here but if people don't think that horrendous call didn't change the out come of the game they are delusional. When the announcer read the rule on TV it was clearly Goalie Interference and how the NHL gets it wrong after they review it makes one wonder about the competancy of the NHL.

Maybe the refs didnt overturn it because they felt that Bennett's contact was minimal and Coyle was diving to get the call??? Just a thought...Also maybe the fact that Swayman was already down and out of position factored into it as well. Also, Coyle was blocking Swayman's path BEFORE the minuscule contact. I am sure the refs took that into consideration, as well as the fact that it looked like he dove a bit

@@esotericveritas So all ifs! The fact is, a player got cross checked, that’s a fact, he interfered with his goalie because of the cross check, fact. The are rules in the rule book that point both of those facts, and the goal was allowed. I still have not heard a good explanation why the league allowed the goal when two rules in the rule book were broken. Let’s face it, a blown call by the league. The game will not change now, but as someone pointed out, let the players decide a game, and not the refs. Florida is a better team, but let the players prove that. Shame on the league and the officials for blowing a good game. Argue all you want, 95 percent of people watching saw it as a blown call, the Florida fans did not. End of story.

Bettman has already decided that Florida is going to the Finals. Just like St. Louis in ‘19.

Riddle me this, Batman: If Bettman “allowed” the Blues to win in 2019, why was San Jose allowed to win in OT on a hand pass against St. Louis in the Western Conference Finals?

@@OldRustySteele it’s year by year who the better story is. why did the refs swallow their whistles in game 5 and 6 when St. Louis was gooning it up and getting crushed by bostons power play?

@@Georgedunkin7473 Yeah, that lack of tripping call in Game 5 was bad, I’ll grant you that. But the Blues hitting in Game 6 wasn’t even close to what Florida has done to the B’s this year.
That said, Pietrangelo is a pretty dirty player from time to time.
