@@sebastianochs7714 remember, no launch control, no shifting, shit tyres. Most cars need 100% perfect conditions (tyres, temperatures, dry, LC) to get their 0-60 time.

As an 11 year old girl, in 1963, living on a farm, I first learnt to drive a Landrover. Primarily to deliver sickly lambs back to my mum, who would incubate them in the bottom oven of the Rayburn! Oh the memories! 😄

No amount of reasoning was going to reassure her, until we counted the number of lambs saved during the spring. Off roading not my sort of thing but I love my SLK and when having an EV is the only sensible option I'd love it converted but I suspect it will never be a feasible thing to do without a lottery win (and I don't do the lottery).

What's the point of having a Tesla powertrain if the battery pack gonna be drained quick once off-road? Better go with other powertrain, maybe a Diesel from Toyota, joining Land Rover off-road abilities and looks, to Toyota reliability.

Usually when you go off-road, you have to travel some miles to get to the place, then off-road. And after that return home. You could need also to camp for a couple of nights, and deal with mechanical issues. But if the application is just to show-off at the mall, then it seems the right choice.
The point is, that the electric motors will use very little energi when offroading, because so little power is necessary. But it is, as i must admit, mostly a gimmick at this point and price.

Not to mention how the electricity to recharge that thing is produced in the first place. Simple truth is, the national grid is at capacity every winter. We don't have the electric to support electric cars. And if you removed all the ICE cars tomorrow and just had electric, the emissions that were from the ICE cars would be made by the power stations instead, but that's moot anyway because, we don't have enough electric!

I want a converted Ariel Nomad. Done really lightweigh. It will be harder to match the ICE's weight on that one, but probably well worth making sure. Might want it to be AWD actually for some chill rock crawling and extra traction.

The back Defender definitely looks the business. If you are buying these for brand heritage, good on you. But reasonably speaking, a Hummer EV or F150 EV are more reasonable considering their lower price tags and higher significantly higher range. Weirdly, I still want that Spectre Defender.
