    One bit of info thats missing is that in mexico, the "true" version of tequila is blanco, because it is un aged and shows off the agave flavor, aging tequila in wood is something thats done to appeal to international tastes that are already familiar with other wood aged liquors.
    The blue agave plant takes about 7 years to mature and be harvested for tequila, so "hiding" those unique flavors behind wood is seen by many as moving "away" from what tequila should be.

    Just wanted to throw this out there, 100% de agave means 100% of agave. It isn’t pure agave tequila, but it has “100% of agave” mixed with alcohol. If you’re looking for pure tequila, I recommend looking for labels that say “100% agave” which means basically it’s just the agave fermented with no extra alcohol, which is pure tequila and is quite nice to the throat.

    • @Dibya100
      @Dibya100 Před 2 lety +3

      Patron is not 100% agave, or just contains 100% of Agave mixed with alcohol. 1800 is 100% agave. Good 100% agave tequila is found in Mexico, really hard to find in the US without ridiculous markups.

No flat notes and it taste awesome neat with a little lime..

    Ñ in añejo is not an N.
    It is it's own letter in the Spanish alphabet.
    More like N-yuh. Like in Canyon.
    J is pronounced with more of an H sound. Not the English J.
    So Hoven would be closer.
    Just a couple of exta data points to add to the wonderful information video!
    Tequila is a really fun great tasting alcohol and it really adds to the fun to use the real Spanish pronunciación. :)

    Ain't a tequila review video lest you shit on old Jose. In reality, it's fine. Just think of Jose Cuervo as a pre-mixed cocktail of tequila and rum, perfectly fine for mixing with lime juice, orange liquor, ice and salt.

      I completely agree, mezcal is best unaged (tequila is a form of mezcal). A good silver tequila tastes like the agave plant while gold tequila is aged for a stronger wood and alcohol taste. I don't knock someone for liking the aged mezcal's I just prefer the agave taste of unaged.
