- In this video, I'm ranking 30+ tequilas and telling you what I think about each one. From cheap tequilas to super luxurious tequilas, I tested them all and ranked them from worst to best in a Tier List going from F all the way to A!
I drink each tequila and rank it based on taste, quality, and overall enjoyment. Not only will you learn about the different tequilas out there, but you'll also learn some interesting facts about each one. So if you're looking for a good Tequila drinking challenge, then look no further!
Whether you're looking for a beginner's guide to tequila or you just want to know my opinion on a certain brand, this video is for you! I'll tell you what I liked and didn't like about each tequila, so you can make the best choice for your drinking pleasure!

This particular video is so interesting and so full of fun that I wouldn't ask for any other testing video really. I guess a blind testing video would be downright boring compared to this one. Less is more.

Glad I found this video/channel. I wasn’t a huge fan of tequila but it turns out I have been tasting the c to g tiers and had the same reaction you had when drinking them. Time to go find some of your A to S choices.
My favorites are La Mala (60ish) and Exótico Reposado (23ish).
Great video with spot-on rankings Lui. My personal favorites that I've been able to try are G4 and El Tesoro. As for cheaper options Tres Agaves and Omelca Altos are great for their value.

Surprised you left out Chamucos. I tried the blano once at a bar because you mentioned it and loved it! Definitely have to try the still strength and aged expressions!

It wasn't so much an ommission as it was lack of time and space for it. But ArteNOM is great. I'll have to do a Part 2

Bro, I bought a bottle of the El Tequileno reposado you recommended. I’m hooked. Inexpensive AF and better than just about any liquor I’ve ever sipped, not just tequila. I am a complete novice w tequila but man I love this stuff. 👊

2nd video I've watched of yours and we share a lot of the same thoughts. I feel the exact same way about Codigo and El Tesoro as you. I'll have to try out Cimarron. Olmeca Altos has been my well tequila for a long time, and I love it, but I'm always open to other value picks.
What a great video, im so jealous that you manage to have access to su many different brands, here is Europe we can only buy very few good brands.
I was fortunate that a store in my state about 20-30 from me a few years back did a G4 pick. It's one of only a few 5 Year Old Extra Anjeo picks ever done. So good!

Great Reviews, and agree on many of your grades/selections. Obviously you couldn't do every single tequila out there :), but to the top tier list if you can get your hands on them, I'd add:

Hey Lui, what are you thoughts on Avion tequila? I enjoy it personally I think it’s a great introduction to higher end tequilas while resting on the low end price point.
I have maybe a glass worth left of my 2022 Winter Blend, I can’t bring myself to finish it because then it will be gone. I feel like I’ll spend the rest of my life looking for something that comes close, the caramel and agave sweetness are just incredible. It’s proof that a good tequila’s subtle natural sweetness is far better than additive sweetness.
Savor that! It really was incredible. I am going to savor my last bottle.

Clase azul is expensive and overpriced. I just don't have a bottle. And not all that eager to buy one just to tell everyone it's overpriced and gross.

Lui, agree with ALL your scores. Glad to see Cimarron in the well. If memory serves you use to pour Arette. Both great well options. Have you tried Pueblo Viejo or Olemca Altos in the well?
I did use to use Arette heavily but I ran out of my last bottle since I swapped Cimarron for it in the well. Who knows, maybe I'll make a pt 2 to this video in the future 😁🙏

The Codigo high proof anejo + their 6 year XA are pretty incredible (the 6 year especially). I agree they are a little pricy. The mezcal is quite nice and unique too.The Insolito stuff is good, but it is a bit strange that I would rank them anejo>repo>blanco. Otherwise I definitely agree with the list. Cazcanes is killer, but their pricing definitely positions them in a more very special occasion kind of tequila.
Hope you also cover the Primo Tequila that is also coming out of El Pandillo! I love that product and it's available a lot more available than the G4 Blanco De Madera (which is also amazing)

Tried Cimarron repo, can’t believe how good it is. Was not expecting that weirdly good taste. Can’t describe the taste, they are new to me.

My two new favorite tequilas: El Tequileño Sassenach Select and Volcan de mi Terra X.A. (their blanco --a blend of highland and lowland agaves - is delicious too)

I think I agree with most of your rankings. Of the ones that matter, I'd swap El Tesoro and Tequila Ocho. G4 might roll down to A, but it's borderline A+/S-. If I'm in a good mood, maybe bump up Codigo to B... but I can see a C+ there. Not all their releases are great. I'd add Wild Common to the A tier or B+ at worst. Arette is another I'd add at B. Their reposado is insane - slaps all the S tier in blinds. Great vid. Thx!

Watching this video inspired us to try other tequilas beyond our "usual." El Tesoro Repo is still undefeated against our usual not be named, Tequila Ocho and Fortaleza Blanco. To be fair, I'm sure the Fortaleza Repo would be better, then I have to decide to the $120+ price tag. I did however come across several bottles of the Winter Blends and Anjeo for $229. Too expensive for me, but they are out in the wild. Cheers!

@@Bourbon_barrel it’s 100% god tier. Single estate, richly agave forward (even their repos and anejos, all delicious)… over sell? have you had their Puntas yet? Until you do, you don’t have a clue what you are talking about 😉 it’s arguably the best pure tequilla on the market (if you can even find it).. closest thing is G4 Madera. Fortaleza isn’t S tier imo. It’s an A+. Forta is what’s over sold with hype, not Ocho.
Sorry to tell you, you are not the gatekeeper to what is and is not the best tequila, nor what someone should or should not prefer in terms of taste.
The crux of your reply is the appropriate use of "imo." You are using opinion-based commentary and speaking as though its fact. At the end of the day, you think Ocho is the end all, be all of tequila and that's fine, I'm thrilled you found something you love that much. You're welcome to that subjective opinion, just as I am in stating that in our side-by-side, we preferred the El Tesoro to Ocho. 😁
