"You're the least egalitarian person that I know." Who knew Her Majesty could throw shade with such devastating precision.
at 1:41; I rest my case about egalitarian; the Queen put litlle sister in her place.
She refused to curtsy when the Queen entered though. That was bold of her 😂
'Oh, in-can-des-cent, positively constipated with fury' - such wonderful writing
Love Margaret's outfit...that blue is gorgeous!
This scene very much shows the true colors of Margaret. Pretending to be able to be a normal woman (just like with Peter, "I could do without any of this!"), but in reality loving nothing more than her status, the title, and looking down on everybody. She was like her mother in that way, Ellizabeth was more humble like her dad, and much more suitable for the role.
I often wonder how she would've been if Peter was able to stay in her life. He knew Margaret since she was young and could've probably would've balanced her out.
possibly@@lordalessan
We kinda saw that in the scene when Peter left the party early to go to bed, then Margaret followed him.
its easy to be less focused on status when you are at the top of the pyramid and your status is never in question
@@lordalessan She could have married Peter. But only on the condition that she had given up her title and financial privileges. That was too much to ask for.
Vanessa Kirby as Margaret in seasons 1 and 2 kept me watching. She was just as amazing as Elizabeth Debicki was as Diana.
Agreed, she was mesmerizing.
Seasons 5 and 6 are unwatchable.
I was excited to see the final two seasons!
But, alas, I could barely force myself to get through the first three episodes.
@@mistymeaner1753That's my feeling, too! Even though the last season got bad reviews, I thought "well I'll watch one now and then, it must be a LITTLE entertaining", but I simply can't get through them!
While I enjoy *these* clips a lot.
@@monmothma3358 The last season was a dud outside of showing the teenage Elizabeth and Maragaret when the WWII ended. That and the ending of the series' last 5 minutes is all I liked.
The amount of times this show’s roasted Prince Phillip is just…damn…
Nah fam the amount of the times they roast the former Greek royal family, which is still kicking with members today. Phillip was from a junior branch
@@fernandopuig3634the current ones deserve it. But this is 1963. They haven’t been deposed yet. And Margaret is in no position to point the dodgy husband finger. Her’s was a POS
The way the shade flowed so effortlessly. . damn girl
Margaret was always starting fires with Elizabeth this season lol
I mean… I can understand why 😂
Shes wanted her to be miserable
Tends to happen when your sister failed to uphold her end of the bargain
You can blame Eden for that I think Elizabeth would have bent if he hadn't pulled all the stops.@@inigobantok1579
I love Margaret's outfit, I love the blue, and I love the way she speaks.
LOL, what was Margaret drinking? She's lucky her kids were born healthy.
That is exactly what I thought. But at that time people unfortunately did not worry too much about alcohol during pregnancy, at least not as much as we do today.
They didn’t know back then the dangers
Smoked too I’m sure
The human race evolved for the last 100,000 or so years in a state where the only safe drinks were alcoholic, literally everyone drank alcohol all the time, plain water was extremely risky due to disease. Only in the last 40 years has this suddenly become a taboo.
You all turned out fine lll oh but a drink and a smoke! 😂😂
Margaret was an alcoholic surrounded by enablers. Hence her tragic end. Interesting how many years it took for it to come out that Phillip was involved in the Profumo affair.
There has never been any confirmation that he was involved in the Profumo Affair.
He was invoked with Stephen Ward’s Thursday club procuring women, not Profumo! That’s where Profumo met Mandy et Al, but Phillip had nothing to do with that, just cheating on his wife with “good time girls”
Is she drinking whiskey in the morning while pregnant? Nice!!!
And smoking!!
Bad
That's the 60's for ya
No. That’s bad
@@joshsherman2158the Queen did neither. Nor did any half way sensible person.
Keep it coming with the crown videos. My favorite show.
She really hates her extended family.
She really hated Phillip and his family.
Like most of us, no?
i think she was just trying to burn old lizzie for a bit, not necessarily hating on philip. she never had any respect for anyone too peripheral in the family, probably. at least, in the show.@@lillyess385
@@lillyess385 Philip's family was considered second class by the elite British royalty. His father had been deposed of the Greek title and forced to leave Greece and the family was, to put it frankly, almost broke in royal terms. Marrying Elizabeth was a stroke of luck for Philip.
@@lillyess385 absolute nonsense
a kitchen....with those walls? i guess its fine as they have servants to scrub the stickiness
I love how they say baby….. BEEEEY BEEY
"I rest my case about egalitarianism!" 🔥
That tea sip 😅
The snob meets the moralist
(probably too harsh, but still).
Margret was a real See You Next Tuesday. Marina is not just their father’s first cousin. She is an aunt of theirs by marriage & has every right to have apts. at Kensington. She married the best brother of the bunch George the Duke of Kent. Died young in a plane crash. 😢
I love the love and hate relationship they both had lol.
Alice? Margaret brushed Alice's name. First time I noticed that. Wouldn't Alice have been in Greece at the convent, orphanage or wherever she was in season four when she was brought to England by Queen Elizabeth
She means Alice, Duchess of Gloucester
@@christopherharper4363 When Elizabeth said the Gloucesters and the Kents, that included Alice, the Duchess of Gloucester. When Margaret mentioned "Alice" especially, she was referring to the Countess of Athlone. She lived at Kensington Palace along with the Kents, the Gloucesters, and the Dowager Duchess of Kent.
❤❤❤
Vanessa should played Amy Winehouse in her biopic
Marina was the direct descendant of a Russian Emperor and a Danish King… Mmmmm me thinks she was more Royal than Margaret…
Margaret was always jealous of EVERYTHING... including of Elizabeth...Margaret secretly wanted to be Queen.
Marina was a Romanov and a Glucksburg, completely blue blooded far more Royal and far more of an admirable and elegant woman, than that dreadful scandalous mongrel Margaret.
Margaret was a dreadful snob.
All the royals are!
Lol. She mean s egalitarian in fashion style LOL
