When you opt out to use big corporate and rely on a “local” business that “local” business usually relies on big corporate in some fashion or another. This country can’t join together for anything due to so many different beliefs and habits to fight big corporations so it will never happen. We can all do our small part to “stick it to the man” in hopes it makes us feel empowered.
Good that you're going to the carb while it's in a bike shop. I don't trust fuel injection and modules at all. I have a simple electronic ignition, but also keep the points conversion in the saddle bag.
@@scootertrampscotty Yes. The coil I have works with both points and electronic. It's an old Accel coil. The points will work fine, but the electronic does work better.
A friend had a car tire on his Triumph and it just about killed him. Came off the rim at high speed so you'd do well to keep your speed low if you keep on using car tires.

I run a car tire on my valkyrie. The people that ride behind me tell when i corner that tire is riding on a knifes edge. When it stops doing that and starts molding to the road, i swop it out . The side walls give out before the tread does. 36 thousand miles in twenty years .

Scotty this video is awesome. I just got a 97 Electra glide probably as clean as yours also FI but I’m switching to carb this winter. It’s my 2nd evo and probably my most favorite bike ever. Btw I have had a couple tour glides and even swapped my road glide to a tour glide fairing. I love tour glides. Also a 175/60r16 will fit your rear wheel and in your fender. My only issue with Harley’s and car tires is they like to wobble. That’s just my experience and it wasn’t that great.

I live in a small town i try to shop local wen i can but im forced to use the internet to shop because i hav a bad hip, no vehicle, no family and price im on a disability pension i get it shipped to my door i struggle to walk to the main street my town has no electrícal store no resonably priced clothes store, i do agree wat your sayin but it is hard for some, stay safe ha ha ha.😊

Want to hear something scary Scotty. I got asked to sign a petition by a 25 year old yesterday. It's called IP28, I live in Oregon. This law intends to Outlaw Hunting animals for food or even for sale by the public by calling it animal abuse. It's also intend to get us all switched over to vegan and plant based meats. It's crazy. The worst part is the guy asking for signatures said it was only to stop animal abuse, he never mentioned the term abuse was also going to be changed to a new totally different meaning as well. Id assume theres also a 5 ohm points coil in there as well.

I put in a new voltage regulator and it went out Regulator had a long wire grounding it directly to the battery ground wire. Guess it's fixed now.

My bike takes a 130/90/16. There aint no car tire that narrow.

Probably keep the stock exhaust. Gonna put in some higher handlebars, high output headlights, stuff like that.
