- In this one we get to see some tree roots growing between the rock and straight down into the mine floor.This was a beautiful mine but definitely had its dangers.We pushed hard down the gangway to the right over collapse and bad roof in hopes of it opening up to a possible rock tunnel or other passage that could bring us to a holy grail part of the mine.Exploring and documenting these places has become dear to my heart.Its the least I can do for the men who toiled down in these forgotten holes in the ground so you and I could have a better life.This footage also gives their friends and families a small glimpse of what it was like to work down in the mines.
Please Note: Exploring Abandoned locations especially mines can be dangerous and deadly. I don't condone or encourage anyone to enter an Abandoned structure. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal and when possible, I seek out permission. I simply go to document its history before it's gone and leave things the way I find them. I assume all the risks & responsibility in doing so. Please don't attempt to do this on your own.

Absolutely beautiful example of an anthracite mine. This one definitely has some nice surprises too. I for sure want to check this one out some day.

99% of all the collapse happened years ago when they robbed the pillars. We see fresh fall but its usually small stuff.You can tell by the oxidization on the rock that its been down for years.I still get a little leery but when its my time its my time..I'm always looking for a chamber or wall that can be knocked out to get back to the main tunnel.Now after the quakes we have to chill a bit and tread lightly for some time.

Haha,no I didnt even feel that one I was rolling in the truck.We just had a pretty good aftershock at 6pm whole house was rattling.Lets Go Yeshua!!!!

9:40 you should have looked straight up man! Coal anticline was overhead. Thats why the top was sketchy right there. Coal vein was doing wild stuff right where you were standing.
Yeah I know I missed it.I was looking but didn't know where to look plus my adrenaline was pumping pretty hard from the collapse crawls .I think that piece of wood I found might have been for a chocho the electric post?

@@CuriositiesCaptured The old mouth organ might be a better self defense tool against a bear than we think if it's all a guys got on him at the time. 🤔 Cross paths with a bear down there, whip out the old Harmonica and blow a quick tune for him. 1 of 2 things....He will either take off like a bat out of hell or if not a few extra bones will get added to his already pretty big collection. Either way always worth a shot bro.
