We have an artisan coffee shop near us. I went in once. The coffee came with an A4 sheet of explanation - the story of how they traveled the length and breadth of Europe tasting coffees before settling on this one, which they described as tasting of burnt orange.
The coffee was awful - it tasted of burnt orange!
We had a new artisan coffee shop/bakery open in our row of shops up the road. And yes, of course this is in London. I ordered a simple bacon sarnie and it took twice as long for it to be delicately wrapped, bagged and proudly presented to me than it took for the fucking thing to be cooked from fresh. It closed down shortly afterwards.

I was imagining in my head on the bit where he mentions the 24 hour Starbucks and him adding "So come on, and bring your jukebox money!", or any other song line that is part of the lyrics for Love Shack that is sang by that male singer from The B-52's (whoever his name is, I've forgotten it)
When they say “poached egg” they could mean in the sense that the egg has been stolen 😂 that might cause some stress !
I "poached" some beers from Asda. They were not distressed at all. We all had a lovely evening.

Distressed wood - this made me laugh as once I stayed at the Ammonite Hotel in Amsterdam & there was an elevator with a floor level named Petrified Wood - I was high as a kite & yes I did indeed become petrified by the “sign” on the lift. They had crystals everywhere in this hotel & I was possibly slightly delusional due to over-indulging on the high-strength marijuana & I was so paranoid - i thought the crystals were like Kryptonite & were trying to pull me back down to earth to be low rather than up in space & high. I thought I saw Jack Whitehall there in the hotel & then I thought all the reception staff were aliens like in Men In Black & I was looking at them like ha you don’t fool me, I know you’re aliens. Geezo. How embarrassing. Then there was this one night I was in this spa room they have & I was in my towelling robe in this weird robotic massage chair & then I opened my eyes to this couple sitting there in the skud! - a man & a woman both butt-naked sitting on the edge of the jacuzzi about to go in & I was like wtf?! - I told someone the story as the couple were sitting naked smiling at me eurotrash style, creepy af & the person I told their response was “Aw yeah well it is nederland.” As if happens all the time here. 😂 I then moved to the netherlands last year & yes things like that do happen all the time there. The worst experience I had there was I kid you not a homeless man one night (I was also homeless this night at the time I maybe should mention but still) was literally jerking himself & a dog off into a bin & was staring at me & I was petrified wood that night, it was bloody terrifying & horrifying! 😱

@@MostlyLoveOfMusicNo, it shouldn't, that completely ignores culture and economic factors, which limit who can afford to be vegan. While animals should be treated humanely, which is not our current system, banning consumption of animal products is completely over the line, especially as many times they are better for the environment, such as raising Tilapia with hydroponics or Chickens for eggs. If you want to be vegan for personal, cultural, or environmental reasons that is your decision and has benefits, however it is important to be intersectional and nuanced in environmentalism, as well as prioritizing humanity.
And we wonder why we cant staff hospitality venues. Big fan Joe of all you do, but belittling people doing a hard job in an industry that is struggling is not big or clever. One day, starbucks will become the only option.
Come on Lycett stop recycling the same old half hour routine weve seen loads of times before.
