Hyrule Warriors has voice acted narration. It refered to Fi with a pronunciation akin to Wi-fi
0:45 I would argue that Link from Wind Waker also deserves that pedestal placement since when there was no longer a Hero to reincarnate in his respective timeline, he stepped up to plate in order to bring the reincarnation of the Hero's soul back. In a manner of speaking, he became a replacement for Skyward Sword's Link. The Adult timeline would surely be history without Wind Waker's Link
I 100% completed skyward sword around the time it first came out on the Wii, but I've forgotten almost everything about it since then.

I unfortunately haven't even gotten a switch yet 😅🤫 so I've played skyward sword (and twilight princess) about knce each every 2-3 years since..
Thinking of giving them another go before *Finally* upgrading.
I played it on three but never actually completed it. And forgot certain details but there's others I remember. Now I've started playing it on the switch and it's a lot better in some ways

I just realized. The Goddesses killed Demise by smashing Skyloft into the ground.
...WHY DIDN'T THEY JUST DO THAT TO BEGIN WITH?
They could have just raised Skyloft and immediately slammed it into the ground!
(I haven't actually played Skyward Sword (yet) so if I'm forgetting a crucial fact please let me know)

It would have been that way, but time travel shenanigans. They tried to, and they did it at first but Girahim then used the Door of Time to go back to before it happened when Demise was still alive but also still sealed so while Link is chasing after him through time to get to the point in the past that he returned to he uses that time to sacrifice Zelda’s soul to transfer it into Demise and thus be able to resurrect him into his true physical form. So you have to defeat him in the past to seal him and save Zelda’s soul, completing the time loop, and also implying that you were the “mysterious knight/hero” who was said to have seemingly appeared from nowhere and defeated the evil long ago. It’s kinda cheating, I know, make you think you won and then pull the rug out from under you and reveal its not over yet. Honesty the whole thing is a bit of a mess if you think about it too hard, one game uses closed loop, self fulfilling time travel, while the other uses timeline splitting, otherwise three more timelines would’ve sprung up from that time travel like in Ocarina, complicating things even more, lol. At this point I honestly don’t know if they’ll ever be able to fully reconcile the Zelda timeline, especially when they keep adding more games, potentially contradicting other past stuff.
Link wished to the triforce to send the isle of the goddess to the sealed grounds,Also Hylia fought Demise and kept him sealed away until he was breaking out of the seal and Link had to fight Demise in his Imprisoned form.
The Golden Goddesses didn’t kill Demise. Link killed Demise via a Triforce Wish. Also, i don’t think the Golden Goddesses get involved in mortal affairs, or more specifically, the Goddesses don’t play any parts when it comes to destroy life forms. The most interference that the Goddesses have done was flooding Hyrule to seal Ganondorf, but that’s all they did, just SEAL, but not kill. The Goddesses don’t pick sides, and that’s evident from the fact that they created the Triforce. The Triforce can grant the wishes of anybody who collected all 3 pieces, regardless if they are evil or good. Hylia was appointed by the Goddesses to be the protector deity of Hyrule, which is why we only see 1 Goddesses, Hylia, to lead the battle against Demise.
You are actually pretty spot on in this video.
Actually in Hyrule Encyclopedia, it more or less further supports this notion: It states the scene where Kaepora Gaebora (aka as we all know, Rauru) talks to Link in the Gerudo Desert, and states "Even I thought that the tales of a boy who could travel back and forth trough time was merely a legend," Kaepora was actually referring to the Hero of the Skies aka SS Link and his use of time travel to combat evil.
Also, I would love to see you play SS HD and other Zelda titles, and even beyond the Zelda franchise if that is your cup of tea! =)

These two and TP Link are the only Links I've ever felt a strong emotional attachment to. They my boys.

Honestly it is kind of a beautiful and perfect way to look at it. Looking at the events of Skyward Sword...why couldn't you consider the Hero of the Sky to also be the original Hero of Time? He was traveling through time after all. It would kind of be funny and fitting that Fi made an age requirement. And could easily be the case that she either slacked off as even more time passed or loosened that requirement once time travel wasn't something the future heroes were going to be engaging in anyways.
Okay, that video order was too clever. Bit random (which adds to the appeal), it's really charming and shows how much you care about making these videos!
It's really heartwarming to think that Fi was waiting for link all that time. Great theory!
But that’s kinda impossible when you realize that at the end of skyward sword Fi even tells link that her consensus will eventually fade from the sword.

I think Bandit nailed it with this one. This is how I viewed OoT after playing Skyward Sword. A hero clad in green wielding the Master Sword and Hylian Shield. I have no doubt that Sheik was definitely referring to The hero of the Sky.

Then I remembered that because he travels into the past to retrieve the mirror shard, the Sword knew centuries in advance that he would come along to pull it from the pedestal! My mind melted

I would love to see a Skyward Sword HD playthrough. Although it is true there are lots of them out there, each one feels unique since the people playing it are all different.

oh I love the idea that fi set her requirements based on hero of skies, and the reason they were relaxed after that game is because she learned from hero of time that links of all sizes and types can be heroes
You know that moment at the end of Skyward Sword after the three (Link, Zelda and Groose) said goodbye to Impa and before the credits, where we see the Master Sword for the last time in the game? Yeah, the short theme that plays there actually called "The Hero of Time" in the soundtrack (at least where I found it). I know that's just the name of a tune, but I thought it would be interesting

Technically, SS Link isn’t even the first Link. There’s the original *original* Hero from Hylia’s time.

@@ZeldaLover6 this isn't about the Manga? In skyward sword we learn that the Godess Hylia made him a gift/choose a hero to help her. Sky Link is just that link, reborn. Just like Sky Zelda is Hylias rebirth.
@@marbleb33s sky link is the original hero. Hylia seals demise and turns it into the imprisoned. Not long after sky link appears from the future through the gate of time, ghirahim breaks the seal of demise and then link kills him. That was Hylia’s entire plan. Create a sword with fi, reincarnate as a mortal and have someone pull it, who becomes the chosen hero of hylia who proves they are worthy of the triforce and forges the master sword so they can destroy demise once and for all.
The hero of Hylia is Link from SS, just refered to from the past, as a prophecy

I just kind of assumed this is how this would work, honestly! The Heroes aren't perfect reincarnations, but the spirit of The Hero, accomplishing tasks/trials that deem him worthy of embodying the spirit of The Hero.

Idk if you have made a theory on this before, but in the Hyrule Historia on page 56 it says at the very bottom:
'The power to control time: With this talk of controlling time, one cant help but think of Ocarina of Time. The ocarina is the same colour as the Timeshift Stones. Could they be made of the same material?' Which made me think, how did the people get their hands on stone to control time, and how they got it to work.
Idk if u will ever see this but its a fun thing to think about.

I absolutly LOVED this theory ! When you stop to think about it, a lot of the Link's who wielded the Master Sword ended up travelling through time in some way. Twilight Princess Link went back in time in for the second piece of the Twilight Mirror, as you said it in the video, SS and OOT Links went back in time. Can we count BotW Link long nap as travelling through time ? He did sleep 100 years after all and he wielded the Master Sword twice if you get it back in the game lol. So basically there's more then one Hero of Time, but they're not called the "Heroes of Time" because they didn't use time as much as OOT Link did.
Also, just a random thought that occured to me, if the Links who wield the Master Sword are able to travel through time, the Wind Waker Link and the others who used the Master Sword in the fallen timeline could be able to time travel if necessary to their quest. So time travel could be another power granted either by the triforce of courage which is almost required to wield the Master Sword, or the sword itself.
I think these are neat ideas, but let's be honest it's probably just a big heap of garbage, if you see this comment, I love your channel, keep up the good work ^^

I just now noticed that the time portal in Skyward Sword has the symbols from Oracle of Ages. In Oracle of Ages, they represent the 3 tunes you can learn to hop between the past and future. How fun!
Ocarina of time. My grandma bought it for me because my mom grew up playing the original Zelda, so she figured I'd like it. I was a bit iffy at first, but now, Zelda is by far my favorite game series. I love you grandma. Thank you for showing me Zelda. Rip ❤

While I am strongly in the "fye" pronunciation camp (according to the Japanese spelling, that's how it would be pronounced), I get such a kick out of you switching pronunciations throughout your videos and doing the other pronunciation quietly in the background. You put so much creativity and personality into your videos on top of the theories themselves, and it just takes them to another level.

Just a suggestion, but play whatever you want, I’ll enjoy it regardless! You’re just an entertaining dude!
For games you should play on your second channel, I think it would be fascinating to see you dive into the world of fable. Rich lore, talks of hero's and bloodlines all wrapped up in nice British humor. I think it would fun to watch you and your overthinking brain not only play them but also break them down and see how you would explain what is Theresa and how she is the most powerful character perhaps in all of gaming... or what the gargoyles actually are. Your take on zelda is fascinating, and I never want you to stop, but I think the Fables would be a good side area to explore. It'll also get us ready and pumped to see where they're going to take the next one when it comes out in a few years!!

I think you'd enjoy the lore, and Control was personally my GOTY for 2019.
No, there’s only one hero of time. However, I really thank you for articulating to a wider audience why the sword wanted Link’s age to be 17! I have agreed with this concept for a long time that the Hero of the Sky was a model for how Fi was to accept her next master and how little kid Link did not fit that bill. Skyward Sword does so much for worldbuilding in the Zelda franchise I appreciate it so much! If only it had chilled on the anime tropes for every character and it may have been a real favorite title for me.

If i may recommend a game that might tickle your fancy: Astral Chain for the Nintendo Switch.
A kind of semi-Open-world cyberpunk-esque beat'em-up with awesome boss designs and variety, crazy combat and gameplay in general (with some detective elements here and there), and incredibly impressive visuals and graphics for the Switch. Gorgeous aesthetics, awesome music, floating spirit-leash demon-dudes to assist you, and an all-in-all engaging and interesting story narrative.
Also has an anime intro, complete with opening theme song and cinematic.
