Best dang Marching band I've ever seen. Being a former "band geek" myself, (tuba), I know a fantastic Marching band when I see one. I have goose bumps, tears in my eyes, and a HUGE smile on my face ! GREAT performance !!

I'm Australian so I'm not into gridiron but I would attend a game just to watch this amazing band perform. I'm blown away by this. My hat goes off to the performers and all those involved with the choreography and everyone behind the scenes. I would like to know how long it took to make this happen.
For my high school band it takes around 3 weeks to get 4 songs down along with choreography, so I would say at least (maybe don’t take my word for it) a month

A lot of the shows with this band take about 1 to 2 weeks, depending on the schedule and the show. The marching band as a group practices for about 2 hours every weekday, but members spend plenty of time on their own too.
Eric M Thanks. That doesn't seem to be enough time to memorise all of that. I would fail majorly.
College marching bands tend to go through 4-5 shows in a season. And so they typically have 1-2 weeks to get tight on both music and drill and put it out there. And I studied under the former director of bands for Ohio State for a summer once...and I can tell you, he was a taskmaster. But he was also outstanding at what he did.
Did you know the marching band only has a week to practice each performance. But they have an amazing Marching band.
They only do home games and do simple repeat choreography on back to backs... A week isnt long enough to write this let alone learn choreography

Wow, very good. I was wondering, how much rehearsal time / preparation does a show like this take? I expect this to be very time consuming, isn't it?
Mark Jansen well, when i did marching band we had two week camp from late july-early august. and during the fall we had three hour practice twice a week plus saturday train a thons sometimes and regular weekly class. not to mention our own "at home" practice on top of that. and that was HIGH school. a full time university probably has practice every night plus at home practice and music class etc
Because of the away game the week before, we had 2 weeks to prepare this particular show. We meet every weekday for about 2 hours as a group, plus about 3 hours of rehearsal the day of the game, and also spend lots of time outside of rehearsal working on our own music parts. Glad you enjoyed it!

No Star Wars, TopGun, Jaws, E.T. or any other great movie theme other than what the band played. That is so sad that they left out so many other great movie themes. I'm so sad and really disappointed they left so many good themes out of their performance.
